Carbon footprint

Recommended Posts

Just seen a webpage that one part of our "royal family" has taken a private flight to Nice on a Cessna, fair enough, whats really puzzling me is some eco boffin Ejit has decided the carbon footprint is over 4 tons..... or around 8500lb ish, for a flight to south france, which is maybe at most a 1000miles away.... dunno its france, now back when I did school and to be fair it was a long time ago the law of physics states you can not get more out than you put in, my rv trailer is 9000lb and that will never fly no way no how so I would say..... correct me if there are any plane people here but a Cessna cannot be 4 ton or 8500lb SO how does it emit 4 tons of carbon on a max of a 1000miles, what is this measured in  COAL, Diamonds,Carbon Dioxide, trees.... what ???

It certainly didn't have 4 tons of fuel onboard so how is that converted to 4 tons of carbon and the plane didn't burn or the people in it so where's the 4 tons from

I really get the feeling we are being rolled big time

That's a good summation of what nonsense the eco baffoon has presented. To me it is amazing what these people think we will believe just because they said it. They bandy around all sorts of political rhetoric and drives me nuts they can't see fact from fiction. If they could speak a level unbiased presentation, sincere manner would be great.

I did watch a few programs on TV a month or 2 ago down the lines of disproving certain things like who shot JFK, did we as a species actually go to the moon etc etc and one was "is there such a thing as global warming"

Well of course the final answer was yes as that is measurable BUT  the planets temperature goes up and down over time anyway and there are way more things to consider before planting the blame at the ordinary guy driving to work and back, the program named one person ( can't remember who) who they said was at the head of a large group of rich people getting richer by the minute on us as we are forced to buy into this eco crap.

Earlier this summer there were quite a few demonstrations in a few cities here, attended by eco vegetarians with pink hair and bones through the noses..... the English actress Emma Thompson  decided to attend for the day from Hollywood 1st class flight to London and then back THEN while she was here for the day did a tv interview demanding us suckers reduce our CF to zero straight away and our gov needs to take action now..... and not one reporter asked her how she actually got to London or if she was going to swim back

How about the forest fires that emit more CO2 than my pickup will in entire life in a mere hour.

DSCF6677.JPG

This is NOT photoshopped. This is noon on the Salmon River, during the Teepee Spring Fire. This orange haze is the smoke and CO2 produced by this fire burning in the Nez Perce National Forest. A light aircraft is nothing, our trucks are nothing, This fire alone produced more pollution in one hour than all of California could in one day. I'm the camera man and Station captain on the scene of our group. The gent in the photo is one of our crew I sent down to start the pump keep water flowing during the event.

Yes Mike and they say it's all because you won't drive a Prius.

Okay, say we all drive an electric car.... now watch the electric plants being overwhelmed with power demands and your electric rates go thru the roof and everyone is parked along long distant routes and highways to find a place to recharge. What a nightmare of nothing but charge stations and hotels to go along with having a place to stay while you recharge. And members to this site and MoparMan is the only guy that drives on by with a 50 year old Dodge Cummins still going like the eveready battery commercial, 'still going'!

BTW, ''there goes that one with the chicken hood ornament'' '' I saw that truck 15 years ago''!

It was a lightning strike that started a tree on fire. The crew at the time didn't handle the start of this properly. Then USFS continue to play "Back Fire Bob" games and continue to lose more and more ground. These kind of fires can be stopped fast and easy but USFS doesn't make any money unless the fire burns. This means the fire has to be big and nasty and deplete the fund for the area then USFS and ask for more crews, equipment, etc. If they stomped out the fires quick the Gov't won't give any aid or funds.

So for all those carbon taxes. Really? When USFS is a "Fire Manager" they do not put fires out they manage them till the end of season snows put them out. As for myself I'm a Fire Fighter I put the fire out right now. No questions asked.

Like the current fire just east of me is a bit over 2,000 acres and still burning. USFS is having fun milking the system.

Yup. Idaho power already informed me that they are nearly 100% tapped out for power production during the summer and hard winters. Last thing we need is thousands of people plugging in there cars and creating brown outs. Not to mention wait till people weigh in on price per kilowatt and cost per mile vs diesel cost per mile. I'm sure you not going to get the same numbers but if the cargo and weight was equal I'm sure the diesel will win hands down.

Currently $2.799 a gallon for diesel, about 15 cents per mile for the year so far. Including towing trailers, hauling heavy cargo, stop and go traffic, and 80 MPH runs on interstate. Traveling roughly 1,000 miles a week for MoparMom's dialysis treatments and for work.

Then what I spend per month in just fuel.

They say we are causing the fire seasons to be worse because we are causing drier conditions and drought with the warming. I believe we do have global warming, but that our Maker is aware of it and still is in control. Its not something running rampant without His knowing about it.

The only way the wackos can get what they want is to pay every ones bills and mortgages and make every one stay home.

If only we had an efficent way to produce huge amounts of clean energy with minimal waste product..... oh wait

I find it funny that the same people who are for the green movement are against the nuclear movement.    Hopefully we figure out fusion soon, we need some way to produce a huge increase in power need without fossil fuels.

Yep these money hungry Gov't people all they care about is their own future and security. Sit back and think of ways to create more restrictions to charge a permit fee to charge the inspection fee to see that you met the restrictions. That doesn't count state fees and federal fees, county fees, road use fees, water run off fees. Then they say oops you don't have a license to do that portion. Even though no schooling or insurance required for it, you must pay the state 300 bucks to get the license even though you already paid the permit and inspection fee and gets inspected. Hell they charged my client 960 bucks just to put a square box over the area on a map to be built and had to count 11 other homes in that box or no go for permits. The box idea okay but a total of 1360 bucks just to do that?! They crooked.

They are disingenuous about the movement and use it as a vehicle to promote their political agenda.  They want control over your daily life by imposing stricter and stricter regulations most of which have marginal environmental benefit

And we can all jump on this green movement bandwagon and live happily ever after, our daily lives and energy supply will come from good feelings and unicorn farts.
