99 2500 Ram. Pick up was parked all winter, went to start and just cranked over, shot it with either and started up and was good, thought just lost pressure. Then, at station getting fuel and same thing. I replaced full pump on block thinking that was it and get still does it. Dan a power wire to pump to toggle pump on but still does it with pump runnnning, Abby very annoying. I am thinking it is the control box on the side of block in front of pump. Anyone agree. This is intermittent and can go weeks and be fine. It will always start with a shot of juice. Any ideas

put new DAP injectors in last summer. Have been fighting High EGTs and black smoke since. Didn't think +50 injectors would cause this much trouble. MAP 48 when pulling hard. Is there ANYTHING in the VP44 that can make it overfuel with no codes?

Just wanted to share a dead pedal experience. One March 19, 2018, during a return trip from Crescent City pulling my travel trailer, I exerienced the dead pedal syndrome about fifteen times in the last 35 miles to home. Each event lasted about 20 seconds (sometimes longer). It was a slow 35 miles, but the truck made it home. At this time the truck had logged a total of 289,000 miles with 202,000 miles on the VP44. The check engine light came on and stayed on and code P0121 ( Accelerator Position Sensor Signal Voltage Too Low) was set. I was hoping that I could replace the APPS and the problem would be resolved. I went on-line to Blue Ch…

Have any of you changed your metal heater exchange coolant lines that run under the exhaust manifold to make more room for the 3 piece exhaust manifold? See attached pic of where I am pointing to. The piping is really tight and close to it. I can only adjust it a little and the new turbo blanket will help with the heat to them. I was thinking of changing them somehow and was wondering if anyone has done this mod? Thanks!!

I just installed a Fass 165gph system on my truck. I previously was running the carter pump on the frame with no issues. Now if I let my truck sit over night it cranks longer before it starts. Also I see no fuel pressure on my gauge until after the engine starts. My fuel pump is wired to the 10 amp fuse in the cab marked ignition. After the truck sits over night I turn on the key and check the fuel neck to see if the pump is pumping and maybe my gauge is wrong but its not until the truck starts. I am lost on this one its not that complicated of a system but this has me stumped.

So my VP went out towards end of April. I purchased a new pump from thoroughbred with the new electronics. Immediately following install upon starting the truck I had a 0251 and 0252 DTC. I went back and forth with their tech trying to trouble shoot it. They ended up sending me a second vp. I ruled out all causes on the vehicle end that could cause 0251 and 0252. I have not shipped both pumps back to them and they want to charge me an additional 650$ for the second pump they sent out because the fuel shop says fuel contamination. The pumps had a total of less Than 5 minutes of run time total. Both pumps IMMEDIATELY began throwing the DTC’s. Any advice on how to handle…

I stopped by a Transmission shop a Custom TC shop recommended, and talked to Walter the owner This guy knows his stuff. He also uses Goerend Trans parts and TCs. He was working on a 48re and was showing me several tricks he does like machineing planet gear housings for needle bearings in stead of thrush washers etc. Showed me the TCS input shafts he uses etc I was helping a guy I knows son that has a Tranny shop, but he actually sucks compared to Walters work. Walters has a clean organized shop. Guys shop I was helping is a Mess. If a guy's shop is a mess, Tool left out everywhere, disorganised and laying all over the place and trash everywhere i…

I am moving to California at the end of June and think maybe I don’t want to test the DDRP for the 1200 mile trip towing. I am trying to figure out which system makes the most sense, and if it comes with everything needed for the install. This truck is stock except edge comp (not tapped currently due to not having a fuel system). It will never see more than a 75-100hp injector (assuming I can do anything in the people’s republic of California) Fass, airdog, or?.. which model and why? what do I need in addition to the system for install? Hoping to not have to drop the tank before I go as I am running out of time. i apprec…

On the way home the other day and my truck started to sputter, on and off with the power basically had a mind of its own, peddle completely dropping off. Threw a bunch of codes, alot of out of voltage codes and of course the P0606 code. Temp gauge would also bounce around.Where is the best place to get a remanded ECM? Below is a video I found on YouTube of another 24v doing the same thing.

1998.5 Dodge 3500 4.10 axle dually 19.5 Eagle alloy wheels with new custom steel inner rims, bead balanced tires. new drivelines trans. mount, rebuilt NV4500, DNE od. 3" leveling front 2" blocks rear. vibration in rear noticeable around 55 mph - 70 mph. enough to shake the mirrors, bed welds cracking at rear, and jingle anything in door pockets. I have visited several forums with same issue but never heard of a resolve for this. This is NOT FRONT END, TIRE, OR DRIVE LINE ISSUE. Seems like every time I read about someone having this exact same problem there are dozens of helpful people pointing at everything but the actual problem. I can take my hands off the wheel at 100 …

I've been considering buying a turbo blanket given the research I've done so far. Seems the claims are real where lower under hood temps and better turbine efficiency are the results. Maybe worth it for when I tow heavy in triple digit summer heat..... But I thought I'd comb the forums seeing if anyone has some experience first.

I keep getting P0237 when I rev the engine quickly, was lucky it did not do it for the Calif. smog check because it passed without throwing the code for him. I read that it is turbo boost sensor A circuit low. would appreciate some info on this. why and what sensor is reading this. truck seems to run fine and boost will go from 0 to 28 psi. thanks.

Hi folks it’s been a while since I posted! Life has been busy! So I received my boost controller yesterday from eBay and I’m curious if there is gains without having a Qaudzilla? Of course I hope to get a Qaud before long but I’m curious if I could use it to build more boost without tuning? I do have a boost fooler.

Anyone have good advice for dropping the trans? Ive read the truck needs to be on jack stands to fit the tranny out. Some guys say seperate the transfer case, other guys say not to. My thoughts are keep them together, get the truck up a few inches on jack stands, get a harbor freight transmission jack because I can get it here & now, and go to town. It's the little details like a double click of the converter, not hurting any seals as I slide it on, and/or anything else I may not know about. I'd rather not mess anything up. I do have the big factory service manuals here I will read first, but I thought maybe someone here could share some insight. I've neve…

I just had to replace a pressure sending switch and thought I would share the differences. The old dirty one is from a 3500 I am working on. The other is one I ordered through Amazon that crossed referenced with the stock one, but Wow what a difference! It seems to work like the old one when I first bought it in 02 though. Lol I know some of you are going to say, “put a mechanical gauge in it”. Rest assure I intend to, but it is a waste unfortunately because none of my employees will watch gauges. Lol This is why I like the stock dash gauge because at least they hear the chime going off and then see the indicator light on the dash. Then they just complain to me the s…

My truck has airlocked on me twice in a few months. The first time I didn't know what happened it just shut off while driving and I had to have it towed. The second time I cracked the injector lines and it fixed it. I do remember that each time this happened it was right after I goosed her a bit and let off the throttle. I would like to figure out what is causing it so I don't have to worry about it shutting off in the middle of traffic again.
