Question about fuel gelling: so yesterday it was -1 all last night and I went to go start my truck at around 2pm. Got in and it started right up like normal but my fuel psi gauge was at 15psi (normally idles at 18-20) then within 10 seconds it dropped right down to 0 and the truck would smoke when high idle kicked on. The truck still ran great and sounded great like it really didn’t have 0psi of fuel pressure. After about 10 minutes of idling the fowl pressure just randomly started to go up a psi every couple seconds until I hit 20 psi and then it ran good for the rest of the day. Went to the store and put some howes in so if it did gel up it won’t happen again. Sorry for…

So I recently acquired a Quad with V2. However I just finished installing an EGT probe for my Isspro gauge prior to getting the quad. I'd like to run pillar gauges since I have had them on the shelf. But also want the gauge to work with the quad. Can I install another probe either above the current one? Or install the second probe in the front half of the manifold?

Hello all, My '99 is throwing the P0222 code. It can be cleared, but recurs intermittently. The engine does not derate, seems to run normally. Possible causes? Solutions? Truck is mostly stock, but does have a Van Aaken timing box, and a Timbo APPS.

Changing my manual mirrors to power, heated, and lighted. I know doors are pre-wired for the power/heated and I've already added the mirror control swtich and the temp control with heated button. My question is if anyone knows if there is lights-on power source inside the door. Looking to avoid running wires through the dash to the light switch.

I blew an oil seal out of my 62mm the other day, and rushed in a rebuild kit from Southeast Power Systems. Rebuilt the turbo today, and it's leaking worse than before! Question now becomes does anyone know where to source a genuine Borg Warner rebuild kit? Google has been of no help to me, as all I am finding is crappy aftermarket kits that I know will suck

So I was all set to give my girl a little more pep, and hopefully gain a few MPG's. My plan was to go with the rv275's but poking around here I saw a post from someone who got 60-75 hp injectors as an upgrade to a stock truck over the rv275's. My truck is bone stock, with an Air Dog 165 and new vp44 recently added. I seriously doubt I will ever put a tuner on the truck, so which injectors should I go with? She's got 330k on the clock and I'm afraid to do "too much" in fear of tearing something else up. Should I stick the original plan and get the rv275's or something a little larger?

I installed my "new" remanufactured ECM on my '99 CTD 4x4 this morning I had the issue of, Key on, Boot up delay. Delayed 'wait to start' light and lift pump. Ive had the problem for 4-5 years and it was getting worse, longer boot up delay So after the Install...It is working great so far. I ran a few errands and the ECM boots right up, WTS light comes on first immediately and I can immediately crank the starter and it fires up immediately. The truck actually feels alittle crisper responce too After quit a bit of research and alot of calling around, recommendations and good reviews from vendors and mechanic shops I went with …

Thanks in advance also everything I mentioned turns on when I have the key in accessory but as soon as I start the truck they go out

I found a source for VP44 connectors, and pigtails. http://americadiesel.us/ $13.20 for the connector shell $2.20 for each pigtail (I ordered 10, to allow for a few mistakes) $57 shipping My total was $92. Even with International Priority FedEx fees, that's still cheaper than other sources. It's a genuine AMP 965734, new. Our stock connector has two holes blocked. This one has all nine holes open, so I'll have to plug two. It did not come with the wire-cover back-plate. I ordered 10 pigtails. I was expecting them to be all one color, but I was happy to see that they randomized the colors for me. They are…

Two part title because 1: I have been MIA from the site for quite a while and have now returned. Not a big deal. but Its good to be back as I have only looked around some in the last few months I think. Haven't contributed or posted anything in a while. 2: I just found out my leak at the fuel filter canister has RETURNED also. Now I have read numerous threads on this subject, but seems that no one has the same extending solution problem as I do So I thought I would ask your all's opinion on fixing vs replacing vs burning to the ground. JK on the last one. I replaced the o ring on it last year or maybe slightly longer. It has apparently given way agai…

Maybe you've followed the VP44 diagnostics instructions over at blue chip... there's a point where one of the steps involves cutting the wire for pin 5. If you really need to do that experiment, don't cut your wire. Pull the terminal. I made a tool to extract terminals from a VP44 connector. It's just a bit of brass tubing. I put it in a drill and sanded it down until it was small enough to fit into the front of the connector. You need to move the little red tabs. This releases the lock that holds the terminals. But it's not the only lock. Insert the brass tube over the front of the terminal. It should go in about 1/4" or so. T…

I know the previous owner didn't do this. He's the kind of guy that would buy a $300 crimper to do one crimp. So that means it came this way from the factory, or the dealer did this. My guess is that the dealer damaged the connector while removing the stock lift pump. This is the connector for the manifold air pressure sensor. Does anyone have an idea what kind of problem this would cause? I mean, if the truck runs, but doesn't have this sensor data, what would the truck do?

Folks, in 2010, I put the Dodge in tank Lift Pump retrofit into my 99. Its been rock solid since. As some of you might know, I have recently made a bunch of changes to my truck (ECM, Inj Pump, 275 Bosch injectors, 2000 Fuel Filter housing) and this afternoon the lift pump pressure started doing wonky things. its normally around 18 or 19 @ idle, and 14 or 15 cruising down the highway. Sunday I took the truck/Trailer/Buggy for a ride to make sure it was happy with the hills around my area & it seemed to be quite happy. when I got home I put the trailer away & filled up the truck to see what kind of mileage I got (10 BTW). …

I was thinking , How is a Remanufactured ECM programed to your Vin number. What equipment is involved? Software? Is it this big mysterious machine, kept in a underground bunker that does it? Do they swing a dead chicken in the air? Throw a pinch of salt over their left shoulder? Or are the vin number programs on CDs and they just plug into the ECM with a USB port and run a CD on a lap top computer Anyone really Know?
