I dont like what I am seeing but there is no slack in them that I can feel, I will mic each one tomorrow. Can anyone give me the wear tolarance for this inspection? I did a search and not getting the right info. There is no sluge in head it looks good as far as that go's. I just cant belive the rockers would all have scratch marks like that. I just adjusted the valves on my new head for the first time and noticed all the rockers hold oil. Before it would about 3-4 rockers would hold oil and the rest would be empty. My thought was they should leak down if they had good flow. But all rockers held oil thru the entire valve adj. These are the original rockers on the same pedalstal's.The only diff. I can think of is all new valve springs, would that cause them to hold oil if the springs where holding more pressure?Hey Mike new pump from chip came in yesterday, took long enough.lol I sure didnt wont to go thru the explanation of the clear line again.lmaoMerry Xmas

Found a replacement fuel tank for 2001 3/4 ton. It came with 3 rocks about 3/4 of inch by 3/4. My first thought was kids? Then again I wonder if the rocks were put in tank to slide around the bottom to keep it clean. Wondering if they were put in on purpose? Your thoughts... have you ever heard of this before?

I've been using Shell's Rotella Triple protection 15W40 for a while now for my truck and I also use it in my tractor. So today I noticed as I was changing my tractor oil that I needed more, went to buy a 20 litre pail and they had none. They had the 9.5 litre pail and i look on the back and it says the specs listed and it includes Cummins engines. I go to a different store, same looking oil container but the back doesn't say Cummins, but it's still a Heavy Duty engine oil able to be used in Heavy equipment same as the other container says. I call Shell when I get home and they say basically it's all the same oil, they just changed the look , took the diesel writing off …

Pulled the 5'er 50 miles to the lake. When I arrived, the idle was very rough and arhythmic. I mean this thing sounded like a 50 yr old gas burner that had never seen new plugs and contacts. The next day everything was fine. VP44? Eric

So I know I’ve had this problem before and it just kind of went away. But it seems to have come back again. As you can see in the video it revs up and idles too high while in park, also does it in drive if I’m stopped for an extended time in traffic now. Any ideas? FullSizeRender.mov

New to the site here, and I've combed through hours of posts, but wasn't able to find any thread that exactly described what I'm experiencing. I also tried everything suggested in the posts below but still haven't been able to resolve the issues. Hi I have a 99 dodge 2500 with 62/68/14, 165 fass, bd exhuast manifold, bank high ram intake horn, edge juice, etc. I just got some 200 hp injectors that I put in to replace the stock ones. I fired up the truck after bleeding the fuel lines and it has a really slight lope/rough idle. This disappears under acceleration and only seems to happen at idle, when I look under the truck it appears that I have a small drip of fuel coming from the back of the block. Feeling the injector tube/fuel line connections they appear to be dry.. I'm a little at a loss as to what's going on

https://youtu.be/HOrBN5rbowk I've done quite a bit of diggin the last few days on here. And have came across several good places to start. But being mobile and searching through everything on a mobile device. Organization has been an issue. In the video above, it showing the trip and OD. But once you start driving. You get the no bus, message. And on the scanner I'm getting J1850 or CanBus not found. I've had a series of codes, though. Mainly being P0336 & the never disappearing 1693. Cam/Crank Sensor replaced, this week. It's an Encore Block, so it mounts below the ip. As well as an intermittent series of 1687,93,94,98. But only here and there since thi…

I have a 1999 cummins. Once the engine has already been warmed up if I go to start it sometimes it starts a very lopey idle, which stumbles on for a few seconds and then dies. I was showing a bad tps error code. I have replaced that and no longer have the check engine light on. My wait to start light sometimes takes a while to come on, but that has been that way for several years. I have a FASS lift pump installed and I can hear it running. After sitting for a few hours to cool it will start up. Help please

I have an 01 Cummins and in the mornings down here in Florida when I start the truck up it idles rough and smokes for awhile. Any clues. Ive changed the cam sensor and filters. The fuel pressure guage says @ idle the truck has 17-18 psi. When i plug the motor in for the night and crank it the next morning the truck doesnt run rough, but without it , it runs rough??? I deleted the grid heater years ago but, this just started acting up. I dont think its because i dont have my grid heater in. Maybe the 110 BD injectors I put in the truck 4-5 years ago are clogged maybe?? how do you check them?? :ahhh:Got any clues?? Any info would be greatlly appreciatted!!!

I recently had the high idle enabled on my truck, as a matter of fact, I haven't driven the truck since I did that. I went out this morning to start it and it had a heck of a time firing. It would try to start, catch for just a second and then die. I cycled the grid heaters a couple of times, not sure if that helped. It finally did start and it ran like a pig. I've never seen, first hand, a truck run on 3 cyl, but I imagine this was it. It seemed like there was a miss, sounded awful. You should have seen my wife's face when I went back in the house. After about 10 seconds the idle changed in an instant and ran smooth; the RPMs ran up to around 1200ish (High idle?) …

Started off with finding out my heater core started to leak but the stuff should be at the house sometime within a week. But as of this morning I have know low beams but I do have high beams. So after worked stopped and picked up a new headlight switch from my local junkyard and that didn't fix it. I have checked the fuses and not really sure where to start next.

I cleaned my IAT Sensor this morning, wasn't that dirty, and plan on doing the MAP tomorrow morning (didn't have a 1 1/16 socket). This morning I checked the resistance on the IAT sensor, at approx. 43-47 degree F. I was getting 28.60 Ohms. Interpolating from Mopar1973Man's supplied temp/ohm chart, this sounds about correct. Anyone think that's incorrect?I also put a temporary air blocker in behind the grill this afternoon, as I noticed yesterday while driving to work 60 miles at a temp of around 27 F. that my IAT from my scan gauge was around 73 F. which seems a bit low. From the reading I've done here, the higher the better (up to a certain point I'm sure). Tonight went…
