First, and foremost, I was inspired to perform this modification by @Mace (a new member with lots of knowledge) who provided the idea - I never would have thought to do it on my own. I also want to thank him for providing the "how to do it " information as well as a list of parts. Well, I am finished, but I didn't do it the way Mace from Kamloops did it and in no way is my modification any better that what Mace did - in fact, some may prefer his modification over mine. After much of going this way and then that way and then repeating myself, I just finally came to a stand still. So, I stopped working and started thinking about what I really wa…

I went camping this weekend and most of the 5 hour drive was fine. About halfway there at about 65 mph it felt like I let my foot of the pedal. It didn't die but I had to push in the clutch and rev it a few times before it came back. It happened several more times on the trip. On the way home I set my programmer back to stock and it didn't seem to do it as much (coincidence ?). Could it be the TPS or whatever its called on a dodge? Any input would be great.

I am new to the Diesel world i have a 99 2500 4x4. The problem that i am having is when i start it up and barely press on the throtle or press the throttle to the floor it will only go to 1500 RPM. I can take off the negative battery cables for about 30 min and reset everthing and it may a run couple of months and then it will happen again. Can any one give me some insight on what to do to fix this problem?

Have you ever had the throttle linkage where the APPS is connected to, ever get stuck (frozen) in -4° weather? Mine did last night at my friend's house. His house is 3 miles away from mine. I started out in 2nd gear and couldn't push the pedal down because the linkage was stuck at idle. But halfway between his house and home I was able to get it to move a little which brought me up to 2,300 rpm, so I shifted into 3rd gear and drove home at that rpm. When I got it in my shop within a couple minutes it thawed out and was normal again. I wonder if it did it because my pickup doesn't have the plastic APPS cover on it? I have a brand new T…

What do your guys's trucks do when you stab the throttle from idle? Yes I know I shouldn't do this but I'm wondering if what mine is doing is normal. Does yours just ramp up without any sort of hickup??

Hi there. Hope everyone is well. I recently started getting some chirping in the cab and dismissed it as something being loose. However, seems it only occurs when I dump the clutch or quickly increase demand from the engine. Does this sound like it could be the t.o.b. starting to fail. Thanks for the time.

So a little history on the truck its all stock no mods at all. Im driving the other day and my check gauges light came on, All the gauges looked fine except the voltage gauge. So the batteries have seen better days i got new ones. Installed those and the truck was fine until about 15 minutes driving it comes on again. I ordered a new alternator from oreillys and put that on. Still nothing. Im really confused as to what it is so i charged my batteries to get enough to where i could see the codes. Its throwing the p1698, p0252, p0234 codes. I also realized my Oil pressure gauge isnt reading nor is the voltage. Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Well to start my story couple days ago I did a 2nd gear launch must of ran to many psi boost and floated a valve on intake number one.. After pulling valve cover lookin for a bent push rod or bent valve found out it just pulled the rocker bolt right out of the head.. We inspected it and found out there were quite a few more threads left just needed a longer bolt so that fixed my valve problem but I notice 2 days later a slight ticking noise sounds like it coming from same area.. Now im led to think maby I got a lifter going out but thought id ask here see what you guys think.. Should of put the 110lb valve springs in long time ago now I am kickin myself.. Any help would b…

I asked this before...but after 6 months of 2 cycle oil use I've still got ticking going on. Sound comes out of both front wheel wells. No difference one side to the other. I try to listen to other 24 valve rigs out there and some have the clicking sound and others don't. I adjusted my valves, but should probably look at them again. Maybe one was way out and I adjusted at 20 rather than 10? Other than excessive lifter noise, could a bad injector cause the sound? Idle is smooth, but power and torque seems lower than I feel should be, but that's not backed up with any kind of inpherical evedence. Oil pressure good, fuel pressure optimum, fuel economy around 14 when towing a…

Put on new tires and noticed a pronounced pull to the left. Checked the tie rod ends and found both sides with some play in each side. Is there supposed to be any play in them? Am approaching 100k miles so I guess I need to get new tie rod ends??? Just came off a 1200 mile trip and am not sure if I noticed the pull to the left with the old tires or not, if so, it was not as pronounced. I had the new tires on the left side switched to rule out a faulty tire. It still had the strong left pull.

Hi all, got under the truck to check the front diff for leaks today and noticed it looks like the tie rod must rub slightly at times(there is a slight scuff mark/paint free spot). Should I be concerned? If so how do I fix this?

Well Gang... Timbo gave me a Timbo APPS sensor to install on my truck and try out. So I'll tell this much its built much better than the factory $400 dollar APPS is! I will say it exhaust brake and high idle ready. This APPS sensor has no effect on these options and will continue to work as usual. What I love about the Timbo APPS sensor is the fact there is no longer a need to hit a particular voltage for the APPS to function correctly or probing the PCM or ECM sockets.. And for you Timbo you need some serious Props for coming up with a simple fix for our trucks! My hats off to you sir! But Here is my quick version write up of how to install a Timbo APPS sensor. 1…

Good afternoon everyone, Over the past 3 weeks my truck has been throwing a P0122 code and I've tried doing several apps resets and cleared codes several times. Figured apps was on its way out, ordered a Timbo APPS on Friday and it arrived today. After about 30 mins and a relative easy install truck has never accelerated or ran this good. It goes from 0-33psi and holds psi through all gears. Thanks to this site for saving my sanity and keeping truck on the road again! Tim

I installed the timbo sensor a little over a month ago and it seemed to have worked fine for about a month then the bucking and dead pedal started again this time not as bad but still could tell it was the same problem. So I cleaned all battery cables then reset it and it worked for about another week and now is doing it again. Could the sensor I got be bad? What am I doing wrong?

Well after about 8 years I finally wore out me first Timbos APPS. I've got a P0122 code just popped up last Thursday. Felt a few odd dead pedal periods which were short lived. I know Monday I've got to order a new one after all those miles of driving.
