I have a ton of AN line and fittings ranging from #3 to #12 lines and fittings. I was wondering if anyone knows off hand the thread type after you remove the Banjo bolts from the filter? Also what size line would ya run i am guessing #6 or #8. Thanks CD

Anyone have any experience with this product? http://www.thetunnelram.com/ does it do what it claims, more even air flow to cyl, better mileage, cooler egt's and cyl temps? Is it worth the money? Does anyone have one and can answer definitively the above questions.

Ok. I see you guys say 20-15 psi on fuel pressure is good. I got some gauges and it reads 10psi at idel and 5-6psi WOT. I thought maby I hooked up the gauge wrong and so I did it again and I am sure its right. Now what do I need to do. Truck never studders and starts good hot or cold. Truck runs good really if I did not have gauges I would not be able to tell the difference. I dont want to run the VP low on fuel since that all that lubs it. What should I do?

Hey Mike , wanted to ask your opinion on something, I had send you this link last month http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-powertrain/260716-vp44-electronic-fix.html . So I did it on my second truck that I have been working on because I was getting dead pedal and the code P0216 so I gave it a try and now I have been trying to turn the truck on and it wont start. This is what I have done so far : I loosen the banjo bolt on the vp and fuel did came out from there with a lot of pressure ,then I loosen injector line 3,4 and 5 and I am only getting fuel on injectors 4 and 5 ,on 4 is were it comes out the most and on 5 it only drips . Could I have messed up the pump ? I …

Just got it delivered the other day, and this thing has some torque, So far used it to rip a bunch of wild bushes out of the ground, roots and all. The wife likes it, good to have a supportive wife. Bob, (me) likes it alot, I even look like a farmer setting on it. At rest in the shop.

So my F Pump on my 02 is in the tank, someone must have changed it. I would say the dealer but I installed a FP gauge and found that I only had about 7lbs at idle. I decided this was not enough so ordered a new pump. I actually ordered one for the block because I did not know the in tank one had replaced the original as I have only had the truck a month or so. I hooked it up on Saturday and found the new one on tne block would not suck fuel through the tank pump and the tank pump would barely push fuel through the other one. So I decided to hook them both up. Now I have 25-30 lbs at idle and WOT is at least 20lbs. I am thinking that this may be too much so I called Cummin…

Hey guysThinking of doing a band adjustment - recommended by a smart man/friend on another site.Don't know much about it - seems not too hard - just be careful with torque.Anyone with extra input here ? Personal experience ??I seem to be slipping a little in my transmission - so was going to try this first , get a diagnostic from an auto shop in STL 2nd , then some trans additive (seafoam transtune) 3rd and if all else fails looks like I am up for a new trans :cry:Any advice hugely appreciated.ISX - might even ping you one day and if I can get to you see if you can give me you 2 cents worth after you take her for a drive - even throw in a beer or a pitcher of ice cool le…

Ok, So its dead from all I can tell. I want to buy a different one, should I buy a rebuilt bosch unit from my local supplier for $1150 or should I go with Jkidds are they the same pump? Should I go with the Blue Chip type X pump they suggest that it gets better gas mileage ( I tow a 3-4 car trailer and will be going a TON of miles ). I'm assuming that my truck will run better even better then it did prior to the pump dyeing due to wear etc. Is there any other options out there I'm not thinking of? I would also like to do a upgraded lift pump, maybe the fass system. I feel I'm on the right path, I'm just wondering if I should pay a little more to buy my pump from a local…

Ok one this may be in the wrong place and two I'm not familar with either the engine or the exhaust brake nor do I even know for shure theres a diference between the two. I am looking to install one on my truck due to poor service brake longevity about 30k on a set of pads and rotors and was looking for guidance and advice. Because Im woried more about engine life than brake life I was looking to pick your brains and find out if they cause any harm to the engine, our volunteer fire chief who has been an over the road driver for most of his life, does not like the use of them on our fire rigs because he believes it is cheaper to change brakes than an engine... I do know en…

This may be a dumb question, but I want to rebuild my calipers and am hung up on how to get the pistons out of the caliper. Do you just pull the o-rings and then pop the pistons out?
