I have a 2002 Ram 2500 Rwd 5.9L H.O. 6 speed. I had a small oil leak. It was leaking out of the over flow catch bottle. So, I did the crank case vent mod that I found in the tech articles here. So small oil lear went to a smaller oil leak. I power washed the driver side of the engine to get a better look at where the leak is coming from. It only leaks when its running. There is usually about 3 drops on the ground after you shout it off.It appears that the oil leak is coming from where the vp44 pump and air pump/ power steering pump bolts to the back of the timing plate. I guess my main question is how hard this is to do and what is the best way to attack this. Can…

I'm sure all this has been covered before buy this is my first CTD so here we go:#1 my tranny seems to shift into OD too soon after hitting 3rd. It shifts into 3rd around 2000-2200 rpm's and almost immediately shifts into OD. the Rpm's drop from 2200 to 1400-1600 when it shifts. Is this normal? Is there anyway to prolong the shift into OD to help keep the power and rpm's up?#2 is it ok to pull small(6000-8000 lbs) loads in OD? It just seems that on the highway at 60+ mph that OD off is just too rapped out. Is it safe to pull in OD at those speeds?

HI Guys, I bought a Built unit and I'm dealing with the Black smoke output. As long as I leave it in Cruise control it will just build boost and climb the hill in overdrive. But when I interface with the throttle Black Smoke BABY!! Drop out of over drive and it goes for a little then it Black smokes. So in doing my learning, reading, It's been suggested that a Quadzilla V2 would allow me to tone down the injectors, and Tame the Smoke. I have a rebuilt Injector pump with 2 years warranty so I would like to forgo the wiretap mod to start with. As I read the Wire tap is to increase the fuel, and that is not my issue. I was just reading where another gentl…

I just got back into town from a business trip, and my wife let the ford 6.0 get dangerously low on fuel. So the family wants to go out to eat, I decided to get 10 gallons of fuel only at the local Exxon station close to home, I never usually buy fuel from them because they are 50 cents a gallon higher than fuel from north Idaho flying-j, but this time they lowered there prices lately to within 15 cents. So heres my concern, I pull up, pour in my 10 ozs of 2cycle, reach for the pump and it says 5% bio diesel, I figure oh well, more lubricity won't hurt. And the truck does run really smooth with all this lubricity, but what I'm really worried about is the fuel clouding/gel…

In Sept. I started having problems in my 98.5 with the torque converter at about 40 mph, tack dying, and sometimes no start every time. Milage dropped from 19 to 16. Dorkweed? said it was the crank position sensor. I was working 6 12's and driving 150 miles to work. I drove it until mid Dec. when I had time to fix it. It drives like a charm now, check engine light is off. Milage is still at 16. I think I need some more advice on the mpg.

Well after doing the new trubo swap .. and the 50 hp DDP injectors I have had a hard start issue . Replaced all the o ring on the injectors twice .. new injector tubes twice .. o rings on them twice . Tightened all connections , replaced the line from the filter to the VP with a big line kit . ... still air is getting back in and draining back . If the truck sits for more than 2 hrs it takes 3 cranks to start . Before it never did this with the OEM stuff . I am at my wits end . yes I searched , yes I did the baby powder , yes I parked it up hill and down hill ... If this cant be fixed I am lost . Banjo on the back of the head tight , t fitting tight . Battery's …

Hey all, First time posting on the forum, but have used it in the past to fix some of my other trucks issues, some great information on here. I’ve got a problem with my 1998.5, 2500, 4x4, nv4500, 263k miles. Truck is stock with no aftermarket performance mods, and it is unfortunately a 53 block. I bought the truck recently as a back up for my 1997 7.3 as it just ticked over 500k miles and is gonna need a rebuild soon. Three weeks after I bought the truck it began giving me hard starts only after it reached operating temp. I falsely diagnosed this as a fried vp44 pump, given the fact that it still had a factory style lift pump, so I put a r…

Drove my truck off the end of my drive way, got it stuck and got out to see what I could do. It just cut off and will not start. It did loose a little oil from a cooler line. Any ideas? Is there a extreme angle cut off?

Hi I have a 99 dodge 2500 with 62/68/14, 165 fass, bd exhuast manifold, bank high ram intake horn, edge juice, etc. I just got some 200 hp injectors that I put in to replace the stock ones. I fired up the truck after bleeding the fuel lines and it has a really slight lope/rough idle. This disappears under acceleration and only seems to happen at idle, when I look under the truck it appears that I have a small drip of fuel coming from the back of the block. Feeling the injector tube/fuel line connections they appear to be dry.. I'm a little at a loss as to what's going on

As a new member just wanted to say thanks for all the help. I really can’t contribute much. Why? Well because I don’t know much. Even though I’ve had my 2001 since 2005 I have only done the simple maint stuff like change oil and filters. But that has changed after paying thru the nose for a bad install of fuel system. For last 3 years we’ve wintered in Yuma to get out of the wet of the northwest. The RV park that we stay at word travels fast. When our fuel system fell apart, the next day this guy I’ve talked to many times before walks up and asks what the problem was. At the time all I knew was truck wasn’t running and the garage was supposed to be calling…

I have always gotten a random P0121 code usually I clear it and it comes back in a couple of months. But this time I caught it in action with my quad. When the dead pedal happens the quad show the throttle 100% open and stays that way till I push the throttle a couple of times. Has anyone else had this issue? Also I need to do the W-T grounding mod. Hopefully on my days off coming up soon. My fuel pressure is 15-16psi, checked for AC voltage 3 months ago and it was good (Will do it again before and after the grounding mod), and this has happened in hot and cold weather, short or long drives.

Edge vs Adrenaline vs whateverWhat seems to be the consensus from users? Is one better than the other? Is it all opinionated? I ask because I was told I need an Adrenaline w/Pulse, because "it's the one to get."I found a used Edge Juice w/Attitude for $350 so I'm interested in seeing if there are issues with this brand of unit. It's currently on an 02 model, but I think a MAP adapter is all i need for it to work on mine?
