I polished the stock headlight lenses when i first got the truck. That helped some but the headlights still sucked. I added some led cube fog lights from Amazon and aimed them low and angled out. This really helped with night driving by lighting up the side of the road. I made sure they wouldn't blind oncoming traffic and haven't had anyone flash me. Last week i got some Hella 100/80 watt bulbs and wired up relays. This completely changed visibility at night. Before i NEEDED the leds at night. Now i can barely tell if they are on or off. Haven't had anyone flash me yet but only driven it 10 times going to work. Before anyone tells me how much better the Morimoto upgrade i…

Has anyone done this swap to a 2nd Gen 01 Dodge 3500? I mean from the whole thing from tie rod to tie rods and bars. If so, did it work with simplicity or did you have to ream the knuckles out and get a different stabilizer set up? Thanks again!

I find it strange that both of my rear calipers are dragging. I smelled brakes and stopped to check them out. Both rear hot. Parking brake not on. Recently replaced pads and rotors. Sounds like caliper problems, but both at the same time? Got home but the calipers were so hot that they'ed sizzle when you spit on them. Smoking. More left than right but both hot and dragging. Would this be calipers of portioner valve?

It it possible to wire in a 9007 pigtail to the oem wiring to obtain brighter light? i believe theyre is somewhere in the range of an added 700 lumens when swapping from 9004 to 9007. Seems it could be a worthwhile upgrade for those of us that cant afford a projector retrofit or fancy leds.

I bought this truck from my brother in 2007 with 80,000 miles on it. It now has 138,500 It seems like lately every time I turn around I'm putting money into this truck. I use it mainly during hunting season and a handful of times throughout the year after that. I've flushed the radiator and changed the coolant twice while I've owned it. I haven't had it checked out yet but I have a coolant smell coming from it. I'm guessing it's the heater core so I called the dealer, OEM parts $950 and a local radiator shop unknown parts $750 It's got rust from living here in Michigan and I was thinking about getting rid of it 2 years ago but I was tol…

Hey guys, with me being in the occupation I'am in at the moment, its possible I will end up having to travel for my work. Been thinking about a 5th wheel for this sort of thing, but I have been having a hard time tracking down any information on this.I had at one point had some info, but I can't remember where I got it. I do understand that towing capacities is not the only number to go off of, but it would still be helpful to get the data I need to make an informed decision if I decide to go ahead and get a 5th wheel.

Had a seat belt warning light on ever since I got the truck, now after over a year I just can't put it off anymore as I need to MOT it ( Ministry of Transport) safety check, once a year up until 40 years old then not needed. Checked it out and drivers side didn't feel right, 4 wires to the seat not 2 so I checked the ones for the belt solenoid and 12v and earth as expected, jumpered the 2 and still the same, I swapped the controller and it was still the same so took the drivers seat out and swapped it for the seat out of my 3500, still the same, finally swapped the passenger seat and now all is good, warning light goes out after the check, I suppose it could be the p…

But I have been reading a lot about how important fuel pressure is to monitor also. What are you guys running? And what is the best combo set up? If I go with all 4 gauges, where would the best place be to placed the other one? Thanks guys.

Well gang... I just got the A/C Evaporator and the release tool for the A/C lines. I got the vacuum pump and freon maniold/gauges coimng too. I'm spending some good money so I become a a/C recharge center here in the valley since no one does here. But on with my project as soon as the rest of my tools get here I'll be on the road to starting the project.

I was just pricing up parts for my dash overhaul and there is decent price difference between Mopar and aftermarket heater core and ac evaporator $36 for spectra heater core, $135 for Mopar $49 for four seasons evaporator, $330 for Mopar Mopar or nocar? I'm having a hard time justifying the over $300 price difference just for a genuine oe part. Any input?

After draining, flushing and replacing water pump and t-stat I'm having some really weird temp issues. While sitting at a stoplight it reads 180, when I start driving it climbs to around 190 and then cools off again at the next light is it possible there is air trapped somewhere in the system. I followed the instructions in the article by moparman filling the block before installing the t-stat then filling the system via the radiator filler neck. How can I get it to burp the air out if that's the case.

I finally got to the first stage of my truck. I finished installing my Fleece Sureflo sending unit. I've run into a couple of issues. First, the tabs holding the rear plastic inner fender did not fare well during their removal. I don't know the correct names for these or where to find them. Does anyone have any ideas, or better yet, point me in the right direction? Second, after lowering my spare tire, I noticed the cable winch thingy is breaking apart. Plastic was falling out everywhere as I was lowering it. Has anyone else dealt with replacements?

Terrible year for mice in my area, my truck is the only one of my vehicle that have never had any in. Till this year, had one get in the fan and get decapitated by the fan. Had to pull the blower out and remove it. Truck still smelled like mice the other day, removed the blower again to make sure I had gotten it all out. Found the head of one in there, cleaned everything up and it's better this morning, I must have gotten everything out. Has anyone else had a problem with them and where do they get in. Bob

Well for while now I've had a squeak noise from my blower motor that would come and go. Today I finally got around to look at it. I pulled the blower motor down and attempted to spin the cage. OMG! Talk about hardly spin. It must of been putting a hell of a load amps wise on the circuit. Never blown the fuse or burnt anything that I know of. But the shaft without the cage on you couldn't twist with your fingers you had to use pilers. Well my nice boss ordered me one today and just got it tonight so I'll get the new one installed in the morning.

Keeping in mind that mine are severly faded stock lens's with stock halogen bulbs, I think we all know how pathetic and dangerous that combo is! I started off with machine polishing with meguires #2 mirror glaze fine cut cleaner, about a 10 min.job, then c…

Hey guys, I have installed the new Quadzilla high idle box (3 cyl/6cyl) sold by DieselAutoPower Mike developed years ago. When I hook it up as it says (IAT sensor and Coolant Temp sensor) I get the following codes and the unit does not work. I have verified both sensors are in fact working as well as the grid heater relays are both operational. When connecting them back to factory configuration and clearing codes, those codes do not reappear and everything functions normally with no further codes being thrown. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Truck is programmed with a Smarty S03, 3 cylinder idle is active and does work properly…
