2nd Generation Dodge Non-Powertrain

New issue here turn signals just went out. Flashers work fine. No trailer hooked up or anything. For as bit the turn signals would come on for about 2 clicks then go out both left and right. Now I get nothing. I looked under the hood and on the side panel for a signal relay but did not see one. Anyone have any advice where to go from here?

Needing specs or something close to the following - metal dash frame to fire wall screws/bolts I think there's 5 or 6 of them up across the top -the 2 little nuts that secure the port with all the HVAC vacuum lines, threads onto two little plastic nubs. Gonna go to the hardware store fri, I hope someone has an idea on the size at least, pics work too. Thanks fellas!

In the near future i will need to replace all my lines. Once i do this i dont want to do it again. Have any of you replaced the factory lines with stainless ? I would really like prebent lines i know once they ship i will have to tweek them and thats o.k. Thanks for the help.

Well, it finally happened! My console quit working. Went to start the truck up this morning and no information showing. The lights and the security system still work though. Sad thing is I keep finding my self looking up for the temp. reading. I wonder how long it is going to take for me to quit that pattern! LOL

Hey guys so I had my truck in for an alignment this morning and I just replace passenger upper/lower ball joints and all of my tie rod ends on the weekend. The alignment tech informed me he wouldn’t be able to do my truck due to a negative camber on both front wheels. Everything else in front end is tight and doesn’t need replaced. I’m trying to figure out what the root of this issue could be. Truck has a 2.5” level kit and I have 18x9 -18 rims with 295/70r18 tires. The tech stated it could be the aftermarket rims but also stated I could have a slightly bent axle tube. About 3 weeks ago I ditched my truck at about 40km/h and the impact was passenger side. I am installing some candle sticks, which are fancy marker lights for the outside of the truck. I want to splice into the marker lights/turn signal so they turn on when the parking lights are on and blink with the turn signal. the marker lights have 3 wires: Green, Black, and I think its purple with a white line. Which ones would I splice into to get my candle sticks to work the way I am looking for? Thanks for the time and help.

Dumb question. If I wanted to patch part of a panel on the underside of truck by the kick panel ..... What guage steel and can I just pick it up from any hardware store .... Nothing special ?

Since iver owned this truck I've noticed the turning radius is garbage compared to my 2006 gmc 2500 gasser. While looking at my lower control arms I can see where the steering stop is slowly eating away at the lower control arm, which makes me think there is more availability to turn the wheel. Has any one cut the steering stops off before to decrease turning radius on these 2wd trucks ? I've debated cutting off a 1/4 -1/2" to see how well it helps worst case scenario I cut to much off and have to weld a piece of bar to the lower control arm to make up for the piece from the spindle I cut off.

Today I use the truck to go to work and the abs light and brake light stay on. No biggie, it's happened before and went away. Everything still functioned and had braking power. Then, when I'm driving, I lose my Speedo intermittently. After work, lights were still on, but Speedo wouldn't work until after 20mph. What is it, my Speedo sensor, or an and sensor? I've read a little, and sounds like there is something on the transmission and diff. Any ideas?

Is there anywhere to get the same type male and female plugs for the back-up(neutral safety) switch? To make a inline plug-in pigtail so I dont have to cut the factory harness wires to splice in a remote aftermarket back-up light on/off switch

My steering wheel has a squeaking noise coming from inside behind the horn. What could it be? And if I have to pull the wheel, what about the airbag? This is not a small squeak, you can feel it also.

I have a chance to buy some factory 17" wheels and tires but he has no center caps and lug nuts. Will my lug nuts and center caps off my 01 with aluminum wheels work? Is the taper on the acorn the same and does anyone have a picture of what it will look like? Thanks in advance.

While changing the oil on my truck last night, I noticed that water was draining from the A/C hose from the firewall. I have not had the A/C on for the last month. I have the dash selector set to floor or floor/vent. With the engine running, I watched the A/C compressor cycle on and off. What would cause the A/C compressor to cycle on and off when the A/C is not selected? Sorry, posted this in the CR forum by mistake, so am posting it here now.

Does anyone know if the ambient air temp sensor has anything to do with the operation of the air conditioning system in our trucks or does it just provide an outside temp for the compass/ outside temp display? Also where is the sensor supposed to be located at? My truck did not come with either of those options but I am putting a/c in it and not sure if I need the sensor or not or if it is already there any info on this would be awesome thanks!

My tires are about ready to go.. ~20% tread, on re-treaded MT's... I drive ~20k a year, pulling a horse trailer for a good part of that. Female driver, yadda yadda, I want to be safe.Local auto parts has a set of 4 new Rodo (sp?) tires, garanteed for 80k miles for $600. They are Street tires with a smidgen extra grip (and they don't look totally sissy ;-) )I can get a set of 4 ~50% tread used tires for $100. Another $40 to install/balance.I need to do a front end alignment on my truck.. Money is tight, but in a couple weeks I can fork out $800 for new tires/alignment/installation, etc. Or I can do the used tires through the winter (I was thinking of getting really grippy …

Has anyone pulled their lighter or power port? The FSM says there are 2 tabs in them you depress with snap ring pliers from the inside. I seem to feel something like that in there, but have not been successful in removing either of them. All I have done is booger them up.

In my 40 years of vehicle ownership I've never had a rig that is so needy towards tightening the upper radiator hose. I start getting drips at the post office prior to full warm up about every 6 weeks and need to tighten the hose at the thermostat. Any ideas why?

I just purchased my first trailer that will need a charge line ( my last two had solar and 110 ac charging) and I noticed that the charge line in my truck has no relay that I can find. This concerns me because if the grids turn on they will pull current from the batteries including the trailer when plugged in. Being that the grids pull 100 amps each and the alternator will not even supply what is needed for one grid at idle. I my have heard wrong but I heard that our trucks had one just for this reason and so you cant draw from the truck batteries when parked and draining them down. I found the relay for the clearance / running lights but none for the charge line. Has any…
