Wife in wheel chair and doing a few measurements on our 2 wheel drive I think I can remove back seat and front seat on her side and might be able to get her in by using short alum loading ramp from ground to door bottom plate then I think I might have enough room. Maybe their was a reason for quad doors without a center post? Anybody seen or heard of this? Truck has been sitting 2 years...itching to drive it again. For now staying away from the mega dollar wheelchair lifts. Her condition is suppose to be "short" term but has dragged on longer than Dr's thought it would. Would be nice to just manually shove her in and spin wheel chair and pick up s…

Hi has any one found a hinge pin rebuild kit for the rear doors on a 1999 ram 3500. I talked to doorman and they make nothing for the rear doors> I also checked LMC and Rockauto and they don't list anything for the rear doors hinge wise. Dale

  4. I've been eyeing the projector retrofit that @Me78569 did but didn't want to spend that kind of money right now so I just bought some replacement housings off of Amazon for the time being. These are the ones I purchased: SPPC Crystal Headlights Black With Corner Light For Dodge Ram - (Pair) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JBIAC3W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_4l25zb405J5YX Since my factory housings were literally falling apart I needed a replacement ASAP. These looked like they would be a nice upgrade over the factory style headlights and the clear lenses would be perfect for the projector retrofit. The plan was to run these as is for now and retrofit some Morimoto Mini H1'…

So my batteries were new 7 years ago.... they need to be replaced. they dont like holding a charge for long (couple months or less) and i think they are actually mechanically failing. I have had a battery tender on them for the past month in winterize mode to keep them fresh but even that showed limitations, as when i started today i could tell they were not as healthy as they should be. i went to the dump to drop off metal and while there i had to shut down for 5 minutes waiting the scale lady and when i restarted it just cranked over for about 1.5-2 seconds longer then fired up (i noticed no dash power until it fired). as i moved to the metal shed at the d…

For some reason when i use my blinkers if i leave them on at a stop light they will blink like they are supposed to then they will stick or stay on and stop blinking. I thought maybe a bad bull so i replaced them all and still having the same issue. My dad mentioned possibly the blinker switch on the steering column but i didn't want to tear into incase anybody else has had a similar issue with an easy fix.

Fellas, I bought a front leather heated seat and I'm taking it apart to get the drivers side recovered. I have been able to get the tabs on the seat cover off the front and start pealing the cover off the foam, but it seems like it's either glued fast to the foam where you sit , or possible wire clips? I see small wires that appear to dig themselves into the foam but don't want to go ripping at it until i get some insight . Also, has anyone repalces their factory heating element with the replacement from Geno's Garage? Wondering if they plug right in to the factory plug:think:

Took my hvac box out and replaced the evaporator and heater core. Now my fan only blows on high. One thing after another goes wrong. Please tell me I won't have to pull it out again.

I decided a few months ago I am tired of messing with the factory fuel filter housing. It’s not easy to remove the lines when I need to, and even with new hardware it still leaks at the drain valve sometimes. I have a large auxiliary trans cooler/fan mounted on the frame rail as well as the Raptor 4G so I don’t really have room for a rail mounted filter. While weighing my options I came across this from GDP https://www.glacierdieselpower.com/collections/fuel-filter-systems-vehicle-specific/products/glacier-diesel-power-1998-5-2002-dodge-ram-5-9-cummins-mk-7-big-line-kitheated-mk79852-blkh It is pricey, but it retains use of the OE WIF plug and the fuel heater.…

  11. Follow if you can… I have a Ramsey worm gear winch rated at max 280 amp draw Winch originally came with #4 awg cable Charts say #4 cable good for 100 amps at 9.4 feet I am installing Anderson power pole SB175 quick connectors to be used with the winch and homemade #1 awg jumper cables. (Passenger battery with connector by the grill at the bumper) Chart says #1 cable good to 200 amps SB175 good for 175 continuous amps according to Anderson. Largest size cable compatible with SB175 is 1/0…but charts say 1/0 good for 300 amps at 8 ft…this is well beyond the 175 amp rating. So I’v…

Taking all my loose parts to the paint shop Friday. Have both driver side doors, 2 fenders, bed and tailgate and maybe the tonneau cover to get sprayed. The shop we use at work is slow right now so might as well take advantage of it and replace all the rusty and dented parts. Just have to get everything removed so the parts are bare and pressure wash them.

I shouldn’t be doing math this early in the morning, but I was hoping y’all could clear something up for me. @Mopar1973Man has 3.55 gears and replaced the factory size 265/75/16’s with 245/75/16’s giving him an effective ratio of 3.69. I have the same 3.55 gears, but from the factory my truck came with 245/75/16’s. If I were to use the tire/gear calculator and switch to 265/75/16 I would have an effective gear ratio of 3.42. So Mike and I have the same gears, but different effective ratio’s based on?? The sticker on the door jamb? From the factory was it 245, with 265 as an option? If so would that mean if you did the 265 option then your…

I need to find my AC leak. it only works for about a week. I replaced the evap several years ago and hope that I don't have to do that again. I have a sniffer but can't find a leak and it has dye in the system and I used the special UV light and glasses and not seeing it. starting to think compressor shaft or evap again. I saw an isolating kit https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FConditioning-Automotive-Detector-Detection-Compressor%2Fdp%2FB07TYCT8M7&psig=AOvVaw3rwrF9QbMclVBmsU7ayrgG&ust=1685844090532000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CA8QjhxqFwoTCJik39aApv8CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAF M…

I thought I would share my experience with my driver's seat cushion and cover. I bought both of them from Genos. The cushion is their "high density" cushion and direct replacement cover. Both were super nice quality and replacement was super simple with their directions. 4 Phillips screws for the lever and plastic trim piece, 4 bolts for the seat cushion (10mm socket and combination wrench). Hog ring pliers would have been helpful, but 2 pairs of needle nose pilliers and a pair of slip joint plies, a little bit of muscle, and done!! One thing I found was that 2 of the springs we're disconnected and that allowed the front cross rod to slide …
