I dont know if this starts a new thread, as HAGGAR suggested, I'm new to the forum, not tech savvy, and have only a tiny phone to post with...so please, bear with me. I'll try and recap, I've cleaned and reinstalled ALL the grounds for the headlight circuit to the best of my ability. I had no broken or loose wires., and the SINGLE 40 amp fuse checks out. I have no other current wiring or lighting issues, stop, turn, and tail all work, as do all running lights and in cab lighting. in the below pick, with selector on high beam, the passenger side light plug works, with 12+volts at the pin on the right as seen. On the drivers side, this pin registers .52vol…

  5. LED Lighting Parts List LED marker light LED Taillight Heavy duty LED flasher As for installing it just simple change of parts. The flasher is found in your driver side of the dash. If the flasher been there a while then it might be difficult to remove. Just take your time and work the flasher it will come out. Pull the stock flasher out and plug in the new flasher. The replacement flasher can is slightly larger for the 12V dash. It will barely fit. Make sure to get the electronic flasher can. As for the taillights you need a T25 screwdriver. There are 2 screws holding each taillight in place. The outside edge …

Well I went on @AH64ID suggestion and took a trip on down to Durobilt yesterday with the alternator from the 1996 Dodge 1500. Its a small shop in Nampa ID. Amazing to walk in and look at his stock he carries everything for starter and alternator from small cars to full size industrial application. Now moving on to my alternator he bench it quickly and it passed. I quickly told him I was having high AC noise issues. So he hands off the alternator to his crew man there while he show me around the building. Within about 2 to 3 minutes his employee had it pulled apart and the brushes were at thew limits just barely making contact. This would be my source of AC noise from the …

I have a new junkyard dash core and I got a new dash top from Geno's. I know they recommend painting the top but is it really necessary? I currently have a black plastic cover and like the way it contrasts with the grey I already have. I need to repaint the core and glove box door due to some fading but was gonna stick with the grey on those parts. Has anyone left there Geno's dash top as-is?

  9. With the rear axle chained it was easy. Immediate improvement. I'm going to build arms now that I've done a few track bars and jeep arms. First I can chuck the castor shims to get alittle more.

For a week or two at least, lol. Back in December a gal made a wide turn and ran her mirror down the side of my bed and back door. It didn’t hurt the truck but it did mess up my wrap. The color I was using is no longer in production so the insurance is paying to have my whole truck wrapped a new color. I won’t say what color yet but the truck should be easier to see when it’s done as this is the second time I’ve had this kind of incident. They gave me a rental rig too, 22 Ram 1500 CC with a V6. It’s nice and all, but it’s no Cummins.

New to the forum here and really appreciate all the amazing info. I couldn't find this discussed before so figured I'd just ask. Does anyone have experience with the 3rd gen leaf conversion and specifically the kit built by Thuren? It's pricey but I'm seriously considering it as my truck is my daily and I'll never sell it so I don't mind spending on the absolute best. It sounds like the Carli full progressive leaf pack doesn't actually feel that much different compared to factory for most folks. Any info is appreciated.

So I installed my high idle switch this after noon and I'm have issue with the temp gauge shooting up to +200 in 6cyl settings. I tried shutting the truck down then switching settings. Then starting it back and the issue goes away in the mpg setting and 3cyl settings. I tried the 6cyl setting again and same issue. I uninstalled the unit now it goes into 3cyl high idle with out the unit being installed. I have it set to the off position now and it idles normal now. Any ideas on trouble shooting the issue. I followed all the install instructions and check the wiring for any pinched wires or connecters not being plugged in all the way and everything checked out.

Been really busy lately so had no time for anything but I have been looking for a neat fuse and relay box for the truck just for everything that gets added, first requirement was a fused supply for the leisure battery on the 5th wheel, doesn't need a high amp fuse but wanted to fuse it before the split charge relay. I was looking at a marine box but it was made in china and couldn't find anything with any more than 4 relay slots. I came across a modular fuse box on ebay out of a Ford Mondeo (uk) its a U shaped bracket that holds 3 seperate fuse relay holders and there is also slots around the outside to mount more relays if needed, just so happens the mounting s…

Hey folks someone has already repaired the seat heater element in my 2001, does anyone know of a replacement element I could buy? I'm seeing some generic ones for sale but wasn't sure if they will work with the factory switch.

I have a 95 12 valve that when I start it occasionally just my back hazards start to flash. The front ones stay off. When I press the brake the back ones stop flashing. The only way I can get the to start is by playing with (turning on and back off) my hazard switch. I was told maybe the hazards switch? Or maybe the brake switch connected to the hazards. Any ideas??

Hey all, so I'm in need of more fuses for accessories and what not. The previous owner when hooking up the quadzilla used some type of pigtail add a fuse which had a small metal piece that was flat and then the other end went down around the pin on the #9 engine fuse. I'm wanting to do an actual add a fuse but I have 2 accessories already running off ignition hot sources in the fuse box and there isn't room for me to put the add a fuse on #9 for the quad. Geno's garage I believe used to sell a "painless" wiring fuse box for ignition hot sources but I can't seem to find it these days. I want to run the gauge cluster and air dog to the new block so I have room to do the cor…

  18. Has anyone with factory fog lights on their Sport truck ever installed those aftermarket LED light assembly's? I can find some for the non-Sport trucks but nothing for the Sport trucks. (different mounts and assembly) At this point I'm simply looking for suggestions.....but not interesting is hacking things up under the bumper either. So its gotta fit.

  19. Manual Air Recirculation Control The HVAC control in a 1999-2002 2ed generation Ram only has the ability to recirculate air when either the controller is in the OFF or MAX A/C. In all other positions outside air is entering the cab interior. This modification will give you the ability to either have the air recirculation controlled by the factory HVAC controller or have the system in recirculation in any position. How it works The black hose supplies the vacuum to the HVAC system. The green hose supplies vacuum from the HVAC controller to the recirculation actuator. When the mode knob is in the OFF or MAX A/C positions vacuum is applied to the …

I’ve looked in the FSM and a few wiring diagrams in the places I’d thought it would be but I can’t find anything about this connector. its been there for years like this since I bought the truck, the interior lights work, so does the horn and gauges. its in the loom of wires that runs on the steering column if that helps, unless you just know what it is you evil genius you.
