  1. Ok guys I need some input. I just got my abs module back from Module Masters and put it in the truck and what do you know, no abs light, motor isn't continuously running, Yes! So stinking happy. Drive about two miles, getting off the freeway and look down and see the abs and brake light on. Crap. So I get out of the truck, open the hood... The motor is running. So module Masters says they will take of it, they didn't hassle me whatsoever, which is nice. But my question, could something be going through my electrical system and causing that relay or whatever it is to fail? I'm guna order a fluke ( either 114 or 115, not sure what would be better) and test the alternator fo…

So I have a 1996 2500, reg cab, auto, 4x4. The body is rusted out I’m wondering can I buy a 1994-2000 1500 2wd and put it on the 2500 frame. And all I would have to do is cut a hole for the transfer case shifter. I was gonna swap all the wiring and the dash. Just wondering who have done. And what am I not thinking about. Thanks!

Hi all,I need some advice on some factory style extended mirrors. I put a truck camper on her & a larger mirror would help make things a bit easier. If I went salvage yard hunting would I be able to find a good used set? Are there many trucks that had them. Seems like most the 2nd gens running around here have the small stock ones. What should I look out for? Easy install? Any aftermarket ones to stay away for or that you would recommend? Thanks,Dave

  4. Hi all, I'm getting ready to replace my heater core based on Mopar's article on the site. It looks really straight forward other than this step: Discharge the freon from the Air Conditioning System I understand I'm going to have to recharge the AC system after replacing my heater core. What is the process of discharging the freon prior to removal?

  5. I have a triple gauge pod with speaker hole for my a-pillar. What three gauges should I get? I originally wanted trans temp, egt's, and boost. But I have been reading a lot about how important fuel pressure is to monitor also. What are you guys running? And what is the best combo set up? If I go with all 4 gauges, where would the best place be to placed the other one? Thanks guys.

  6. Followed the instructions posted here on replacing seals on the hydroboost assembly. My question is this, is my accumulator check valve supposed to have a ball bearing in it? The *generic* schematics included show one, and everything I see online shows a ball bearing. Cautionary videos online say to make sure you put that ball bearing back or severe damage will be caused. But I am about 87% sure I did not have a ball bearing inside my valve when I took it apart. can anyone give me any insight. Edit, working on 99 Cummins.

  7. Is this a ujoint or something else? Noise only happens in reverse gear with engine running, no noise when backing in neutral with the engine off. Noise disappears when in forward gear.

Hey y'all, wanted a recommendation. The steering on my Dodge just doesn't feel solid. I have very little play in my wheel, steering box feels fine. I haven't jacked it up to check for wheel movement but assume that either the tie rod ends are going out or it's a combo with the drag link. On to my question. With the 99 model, is the "Y" steering Linkage version a good replacement or are there any recommendations on the "T" conversion if it's even needed. Any links to what others have done in the past? Thanks!

Just a post about auto trans vs manual trans and brake pad life I just put the new front pads and calipers on my truck.....There were only 25,000 on those pads. Pass side with sticky caliper wore way more. could have gone 30k maybe. Drivers side had plenty left....I just wanted to get this sticky caliper fixed . If both sides wore evenly with good calipers I might get 40k on front pads at most, with my Automatic trans... These are just semi metallic auto zone Dura last pads..... I use semi metallics because hey are easier on my rotors These auto trans trucks really eat brakes..... Im always on them brake trying to keep it slowed down wi…

I want to install a new draw straw and 1/2" fuel line from the tank. I'm torn between dropping the tank and lifting the bed. Understand that I work in gravel and don't have a lot of jacks/tools. I even saw a YouTube video where a guy cut a hole in his bed to gain access. That's even a consideration. Problem is that the tank unit sits right under a support bar of the bed. But a couple holes on each side of the cross member might be adequate. Having perminant access to the tank unit would be cool. But not sure I have the guts to go that way. So looking for opinions about bed tilting or tank dropping. I can invision a pully system to lower and raise the tank.

Hello. I'm searching second best option for headlights. I know retrofit with morimoto projectors ate the best but $$ is the issue at the time. Any decent aftermarket housings available? Looking for good low beam, high beam isn't so important! Already have enough auxillary lights so I can see far! Also has to be with two bulb housing because my trucks headlights have been modified to meet European standards ( Hella projectors in high and low beam ). Light output is is junk!! Low beam has now H7 bulb and high beam is HB3 bulb! Sorry long story but dark times are coming and greetings from Finland!

I saw a kit from pirate 4x4 that advertised universal hydroboost rebuild. I tried it and be dam if 50 dollar kit didn't fix me right up. No more leaks lol thought I'd mention this one

Hey guys Trying to get my tranny cooler installed this weekend. On my auxilliary cooler - it has 2 wires , about 9 inches each - 1 black and one blue. It just says to connect this to a switched 12V power supply. How do I do this ?? Never have before. I assume I could run 1 wire (blue) +ve terminal and 1 (black) to negative terminal - and it would get power every time the engine started - but I would prefer to activate via switch - ideally something like the existing A/C switch. Is it easy to hook up to the A/C switch somehow so when I turn the A/C or FAN on - it engages the fan on the auxilliary cooler ?? OR seperate switch from o'rei…

Well for while now I've had a squeak noise from my blower motor that would come and go. Today I finally got around to look at it. I pulled the blower motor down and attempted to spin the cage. OMG! Talk about hardly spin. It must of been putting a hell of a load amps wise on the circuit. Never blown the fuse or burnt anything that I know of. But the shaft without the cage on you couldn't twist with your fingers you had to use pilers. Well my nice boss ordered me one today and just got it tonight so I'll get the new one installed in the morning.

I've owned my truck for a couple months now. Ever since I owned it, the red BRAKE light has flashed in a timed manner repeatedly until I release the parking brake. One time sitting on a hill with the tailgate facing downhill, I parked in neutral, set the brake and the truck slowly started creeping backwards. Only happened once, and I park on that same hill all the time at my moms house. Since then I'm always very cautious to make sure my wheel is turned sharply incase the brake would let go. However, just recently, the blinking light continues to stay on and blink while driving. Now I've never worked on brakes ever, so I'm unfamiliar with them, but I've learned the blinki…

  16. I have asked questions on here before, but now as I have some money saved up I am ready to spend a little on my truck and have a question to ask, that will most likely lead to 100 other questions. To start off with, I have a 2001 24 valve that just hit 194000 miles. I bought the truck completely stock performance wise other than an edge comp box, and have done nothing to it since. The only issues with the truck that I know of is the transmission pan seems to have a leak, which I believe I can easily fix by replacing the gasket, and I have a broken sway at bushing, but I have asked about this before and some people on here have said that they completely removed their sway …

  20. I installed Led headlights and fog lights the other day along with new housings for both... what a difference the new housings made in the appearance of the truck! My wife said it looks like a brand new truck. When the headlights are on, everything functions as normal. When I pull the switch to engage fog lights, my high beam indicator appears and is very faint. If I hit the high beams the indicator light appears like normal. Any ideas as to whats causing this? Thanks!
