Hey guys. Sorry to write another thread, but I'm needing to get some things fixed and need a little help. 1st: powersteering pump. So Genos garage has a new, not rebuilt borgeson steering pump for my truck. I believe its 800328. I've thought about just resealing mine, but there is more going on to it than I think a re-seal will do. Fluids smell burnt, its leaking, and it whines and groans prett bad, especially in the morning. 258k miles I'm sure it's about done. They have the same pump on amazon, but the reviews arent pretty. So I'm not sure what to do here, I dont want to take a risk and buy a piece of crap. While it's out, I'll be …

Is there anything that’ll clean up UV dye? I’ve sprayed engine degreaser, citrus degreaser, and brake cleaner under my hood. But the UV dye seems resilient.

I need some ideas on how to straight my pillar where the tailgate latches and pull out a dent in my bed. My ebrake broke on my manual it rolled down a hill and hit a tree. These are the photos https://ibb.co/cJ3XVzs https://ibb.co/qm0z8hz https://ibb.co/zSt9DKD

The headlight on the passenger side is dim on both high and low beam. Driver side is fine. Tried several new bulbs and even switched them from side to side to double check. I've cleaned every ground I can find, even looked under the dash, but nothing seems to make a difference. This is a 2 headlight system, not the quad setup. Any thoughts on this? I can't afford to lose anymore hair.

I've read through here a bit but nobody seems to have my issue. When I turn sharp not full lock trying tj say back out of tight parking lot spaces whenever I change wheel direction or change from drive to reverse then roll a little or give it gas I get a hefty clunk up front. I've had it for 2 years and I've seen some other dodge 2nd gen 1 tons do it but I've seen some not do it so I'm not thinking it's normal but I've tried everything I can think of. It's a 2wd. I had to replace everything from frame out due to RF having been in an accident before so alignment couldn't be brought into spec. All moog stuff, I've got new upper and Lower arms, new inner and out…

Hey Everyone, I have a 2001 Dodge 2500 6spd and I had a buddy help me put a in Pioneer AVH3500NEX while I was deployed. He didn't realize I had steering wheel controls (understandable since it's a 2001), so after a bunch of research I bought the Pac Audio SWI-CP2 universal steering wheel control retention interface. Attached in this image is the guidance that they provide for some T-splices that are required. I found the 7 pin harness very easily, but I am a little stumped with the 5 pin harness that I need to tap into. It says that it is found at the steering column, but I do not see any 5 pin harness, when I pull that little plastic drop shutter. Can someone potentia…

I noticed on my 1998.5 dodge that the passenger side is 1” higher than the drivers side? I have not to my knowledge adjusted anything on the truck that would make 1 side sit 1” higher? I measured with a tape measure and it’s 11.25 on passenger side to top of tire and 10.5 on driver side to top of tire. Isn’t there bolts with oblong nuts on control arms? Orrr how would I fix this?

Being an old truck naturally I've got headliner sag and the back was black due to third brake light leakage. Now that I've got it out after finding and fixing the light leak I want to recover the liner. Id like to do charcoal to match interior but I think I'll stick with tan to match the other roof parts. I can get the material on ebay but there's a few of that light tan and I'm not quite sure what exactly it is. Computer doesn't always show color shades exactly right either. Does anybody have any info or links to the exact color to match the visors and overhead compartment

I'm running BF Goodrich All Terrain TA K02's right now and they seem to do pretty good other than having to rotate them every 2500 miles. I've heard there are better tires for these heavy Dodges like the Toyo or Yokohama but i haven't run anything else. I'll be buying 265/70-17 load range E. What are you guys using? What to stay away from? Would like to stay with a similar tread pattern.

Not sure If I'll need help with this topic just yet but decided to start this thread / discussion to help me get the mind-set. Maybe this thread can help others who need to sort out the trailer wiring. Ok so when I bought my truck in 2013, it didn't have a bed or body on the back. I basically bought a truck with just a cab. Previous owner was using it as welding rig. He got a new truck and swapped the welding body onto his new truck. Unfortunately he was not so nice and he cut ALL of the wires in the back for the tail light and towing. Left me with the rats nest bunch of cut wires. I used a test light to get the basics connected for the stop, turn and tail lights…

I have a 2001 ram 3500 the hydro boost went out so I replaced the brake booster, and power steering pump. When I reinstalled the brake booster I bled everything and once I pushed the brake pedal it went to the floor, made a popping sound, stuck to the floor and drained all the fluid out of the weep hole. I have repeated this process 3 times with 2 different boosters and resealed one. I have absolutely no idea what’s going on or what I’m doing wrong.

Does anybody know if the little “male” connector with the spring door can be purchased separately from the pigtail that plugs into the body trailer harness? And if so, what’s the part number? All I can read is Delphi. Everything else is gone. Thank you.

Found a tan visor from a 1500 that was in good shape finally instead of the mirror sagging. it has a light with a dimmer switch to adjust the brightness. I’ve looked in the 1500 wiring diagrams but I can seem to find where the wires should splice into for power. Wires are black and orange. I’m assuming black is ground and orange is power. does anyone else have a mirror like this is there truck or ever seen one of these?

I give up I don't know what else to do. I finished my 3 month project about 2 weeks ago... twins, injectors, cross overs, o ringed head, totally swapped the complete wiring harness ecm, pcm, all sensors and VP pump and NV5600 along with the cluster from a wrecked 02 to my 98.5, the problem is when I start it the tach works for 7 seconds then goes dead and I get the code for cam sensor problem, I've tried both sensors and both vp pumps, checked all connections, ran the cluster through the diagnostic test and still no joy. I even tried the cluster from the 98.5, everything on both trucks worked perfectly before I started this project. I think when the tach isn't working it i…

I was looking around online and ran across an obvious goof. I found this pair of tail lights for $18.71 +tax for a total of $20.03. couldn't believe it so I snatched them up. I noticed today the price changes to $53.99 on the same site so I think someone screwed up. Lol I got lucky I guess. They are smoke lens though so I may have to get some LED bulbs to brighten them up.

So when I bought my 01 3 years ago it came with the ABS and Brake light on and although we figured out the brake light being the entire pedal assembly was bad, we never could figure out why the abs light was on and why the module would buzz when plugged in. Fast forward last may doing axle shafts, find out the passenger side hub sensor had been cut somehow, so we replaced that and tried to plug it back on with a buzz still occuring whether the truck is on or off. I gave up on it as I had more pressing things to fix on it. Well quarantine has got me itching to fix something so I figured I'd dive in, and plugged it in and busted out our Bosch scan tool from oriellys, and al…

I’ve read Mike’s comments on the AC compressor cycling, and tend to agree that it shouldn’t cycle if performing correctly. However, I’ve noticed mine will cycle with the heat on (defrost). Is this a normal function?

Taking all my loose parts to the paint shop Friday. Have both driver side doors, 2 fenders, bed and tailgate and maybe the tonneau cover to get sprayed. The shop we use at work is slow right now so might as well take advantage of it and replace all the rusty and dented parts. Just have to get everything removed so the parts are bare and pressure wash them.
