After thinking my blinker issue was due to the multifunction switch, I figured out it was the relay.... so another 20 bucks later and I picked one up at Napa...and I hate it... It sounds really dinky....and has a slight delay from when I turn the switch on to when the blinker starts to flash. Is there a relay that sounds and functions like our stock ones do? The only other thing I'm trying to do is sand the copper contacts inside the older relay to see if it will start working again properly....it blinks and then stops, then will randomly start blinking again, then stop... Obviously this is not a serious issue, but when you are used to …

Well this is my first post on here I've commented a few times on the sport headlight conversion but I was wondering if anybody thought it was possible to buy the headlights that were not sport but still had to bulbs and wire it up using the same harness style posted in the sport conversion thread these are the lights I was looking and and was thinkin about running the power wire from the oem harness to the high bean power low bear oem to low beam light and run the grounds through the same as in the picture but I still want to use the relays to take the heat off of the light switch I am fairly good at wiring and just wondering if anybody thinks this would work? Thanks for …

Since a water pump failure the pad/insulator got soaked and sagged. Pulled away from the buttons or tabs. Anyone experience replacing it? Looks like I can get a new one for about $80. Wondering about larger tabs to keep it up better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

I made this a few weeks ago and figured I would post it up. Basically this shows some principles at work especially how the connecting rod angles and leverage play a key role in everything. This is only showing the thing compressing and then decomopressing, such as if no fuel was injected. I am not about to try and calculate that These charts assume no boost, 100% volumetric efficiency, 14.7psi atmospheric, 100% sealed off rings, and all the other crap that I don't care to figure out at this point. Took enough time to do with all perfect conditions so I am not going to factor in all this other crap. The goal was to see the effect of the crank to connecting rod angl…

Just curious to see what your diesel looks like. Here is what I get around quad cities Iowa, most of it is labeled 5-20% bio. It sure looks like gasoline to me, but then again I don't stare at it every time I fill up. Is this normal looking or

Just like the title says, I have been paying special attention to my air filter setup, and have noticed that even a brand spanking new mopar air box will let dust into the motor. It just wont seal adequately. I will not use a k&n filter or the like, stock style paper is the best imho or a bhaf. I love the new air filter design for the 03-07 trucks, it has pleats that are about 6 inches tall!!! BEEFY!!! And it seems like the newer air box seals better. SO... Because I don't have a 3rd gen box to measure, does anybody know if the stock air intake tube will fit over it? I will figure out how to bolt it down to the inner fender. Also, anybody able to find any on ebay? I l…

I just can't drive my CTD daily. (signature 2001.5 w/ 4 wheel discs) It seems I get brake chatter every time it sits. The garage... claims rust forms under the pads where they sit against the disc. He claims he gets lots of work from folks who let vehicles sit... claims they all do it! Physically, I can not pull the brakes myself to check... but I'm damn tempted to replace the discs with something that won't rust. Stainless steel (some won't rust) or ceramic.I'm sure somebody here knows more about this than I do.Russ

I installed the flip up tow mirrors a few years ago, and I can't be the only one wondering about this. When you have the mirrors flipped up, there's what looks like a removable tab that's on the arm, i'm wondering if it's not for like turn signals?..... anybody know, or just a pattern in the design

So I was at the local cafe this morning getting breakfast and the village police chief came in who I know pretty well. (Not in a bad way haha) He came up to me and we started talking and apparently around here they have had a rash of dodges with tow mirrors being vandalized. He said they caught a few teens who were out "moose hunting" as they called it. Which he explained to me is they go around smashing off tow mirrors for kicks. I get the whole name of the game as some dope came up with tow mirrors out looks like a moose I guess. He told me it's been happening around this county and a few others in the surrounding area. I just don't get the younger generation now days ?…

Hopped in the truck to go hunting tonight cranked the blower up on high and just about crapped. This thing vibrated so bad I thought the dash was going to come apart.Everything sounds ok on the lower two speeds but when I put it on the third or fourth speeds I think I need safety glasses and a helmet.

Hey all, back again in relation to my battery. Running a single currently and it is dead and I want to replace it and do 2 and re do wiring. How long would I be ok to run a single? I’m planning to source the cable supplies myself as someone else did it who commented on my old post but it wouldn’t be for a few weeks possibly. Only strain on the battery would be cranking since I do not have a grid heater.

Last year I installed new Rancho shocks. I'm still bouncing. If I cross an intersection at 30mph +, the crown of the cross street will cause me to bounce up and down 4 or 5 times. If the fifth wheel RV is in tow, a concrete interstate with it's uneven seams is horrible. I don't remember which Rancho shock model I bought. They're not the adjustable model though. Suggestions?

My 99 3500 qc dually 4x4 looks a little tired on the front end, almost like she's sagging. What are my options here? A good set of Billsteins? In her previous life she pulled a gooseneck carrying a 60hp tractor every day. She seems awfully happy not to be dragging that thing around anymore. I sporadically pull heavy weight with her, 40 hp tractor, dump trailer, etc.
