Hey guys and gals. There are some funky things going on with my Isspro gauges. I have the EV1's just for reference. First off I was driving down the road today and the mechanical fuel pressure gauge just started making this loud buzzing sound. The needle bounced in time with the buzzing and followed the engine rpm rise and fall. I am running a needle valve for the gauge adjusted as per Moparmans's video so I dont think the waterhammer could have taken it out. Did my gauge just crap out just because?? Next, the pyro. Over the last month there has been an issue right when I first turn the key on. The needle will bounce around and peg to both sides of the gauge for about…

2001 3500 Dually. Hi all just wondering what people are using for brake fluid and if there is any specific brake fluid that is idea for steep mountain driving. I'm about to use Dot 4 on my cars as they need a fluid change and that appears to have a lower boiling point.

I seen a lot of you adding after market headlight to improve the oe ones. I have always liked the way the stockers look and until the oe ones started to glaze over. I had been satisfied with the light they put out. So it stock is not what you want this thread is not about upgrades. I bought a set of headlights only from A1 Auto. They cost $75, came with new bulbs and no turn signals. My old turn signals look just fine. Eagle Eyes is the brand . I don't think the photos show either very well. All in all I am very happy with how it turned out. The big question is Ho long will they last. Only time will tell that one. If you after major upgrades like HID or Sport these aren'…

Hello, I have an 01 24 valve with no heat or Ac. I don’t really care about the AC, but would love to have heat. I have replaced the heater core and the thermostat, but still have no heat. When I used to try to run the heat, I would end up with a puddle of coolant on the floor. I’m not sure if the coolant stopped leaking after I replaced the heater core, simply because there was already so much on the floor and I’m afraid to try it again since I just finally got the carpet dry. Either way though, still no heat. I’m thinking it’s either the blen door or vacuum line, but would like a second opinion. Thanks!

OK 2nd gen gurus I have searched for days and now must ask. Working on getting the headlight switch operational again in my 01. PO spliced in a pullout type HL switch which looks to be from the 97 type rams. So what I have is power to the headlights constant. which I believe is correct. So feeding into my HL switch I have a pink and red that is hot constant. The red and green which is the largest going in should also be hot constant but is not. However if I turn on the switch the red/green becomes hot. Also the LG wire that is HL output to the dimmer in the multifunction switch is constant hot. I believe the LG should only become hot after the HL switch is pulled out the …

My truck has a factory security theft system. It was an option for our trucks. When you lock the doors with the key fob, the truck will not start without unlocking the system with the key fob. If you are inside the truck and lock the doors with the fob, it will crank, start, and then the engine shuts off. My question to those that are wiser than me, "has anyone tried to see exactly how this system works?" Does the system have to be activated with a down load?

Hopefully you do it yourselfers find this useful. I sure do, and figured I'd pass it on. I've used these guys for years at work. Nearly everything has a drawing, good specs, and honestly... they have everything. They even break it down by material, material properties, reactivity, etc. mcmaster.com Just last night I ordered the below items to redo my fuel pressure gauge. I was lucky enough to have my brother visit me this last week and he road in the truck with me a few times. Usually my truck steer's pretty good but it seems like im constantly moving the steering wheel a little side to side. MY brother weighs probably 350 or so and with him in the passenger seat my truck has never handled better, it just went straight and I wasnt moving the wheel at all. What could I do to get this all the time without putting sack-crete in my passenger floorboard?

I took the UK government deal of 6 months grace for MOT test due to covid over 6 months ago, it is now well overdue, MOT is our yearly check or test for vehicles. Right hand side bed wheel arch is rusty with holes, this here is a no pass, truck has wheel arch extenders but I had to remove the rears to get the liners out to get to fit the 5th wheel hitch and decided to sort the rust before putting the spats back on. I got both bed sides from rockauto a while ago so once I'd cut the rust out I could see it needed inner wheel well panels, I couldn't find any for a 1998 truck so ordered for a gen 3 BUT I ordered the wrong panels DOH!!! I order the inner panels whe…

Before I go measure, does anybody know if the cab mounts and the bed mounts are in the same position on a 2001 quad cab long bed 2x4 truck frame as they are on a 2001 quad cab long bed 4x4 truck frame? Want to take the quad cab and bed off a 2wd and put it on a 4x4 truck frame for my frankenstein beast swap just need to know if the frames and cabs are totally different, im thinking they are not, but who knows.

Have learned a lot from the threads on the HVAC systems in our trucks. Will be digging into my system soon. Question for you folks that have changed out the Evaporator & Heater cores .... Did you use OEM parts? Why I ask is that the Evaporator core lists for $588.- The Heater core lists for $221.- Add 12% tax .... If you've used 'other' brands successfully ..... would like to hear about them. Thank you .....

Well seems I am the latest victim of the ABS and brake light coming on.Came on sometime yesterday while driving around. I checked for codes with my Scan Gauge and nothing. Rechecked and nothing. I used the key trick and got P0500, which made sense to me. The SG still does not see it so it wont clear it. Guess i will check the connector and then replace it if all seems well with the wires. Still surprised the SG does not see it.

My truck is a 2002 2500 HO NON sport truck. For Christmas my wife bought me some of the projector lights (also called angel eye headlights). Before installing the lights I bought the heavy duty wire harness from LMC truck. The one with the relays and pulls its power from the battery. I have installed this harness already. This headlight kit converts the single bulb 9004 to an H1/9005 setup (like the sport model). To make the system work properly, the instructions say to swap the high beam and ground pins in the headlight harness plug. My question is, there are 3 wires in the harness but, which wires I need to swap to make this lights perform properly. Also.. what is the t…

Since I bought the truck 5 years ago or so I have been dealing with poor air flow from the heater and A/C. In fact, it struggles to keep the windshield defrosted, especially with several people in the truck. Once in a while, usually after start up, I get a faint smell of something burning and I have even had smoke come from the vents a couple of times. The problem has been getting worse so I finally decided to pull the HVAC box and found what I thought I would. The evaporator is caked in leaves and other debris. I looked all over for where the burning was coming from and the only thing that I can see is that the blower resistor was covered in the same debris. With t…

Drove the truck to work last week, noticed the truck vibrating at 60mph. It went away when I sped up to get on the interstate. When I left work I noticed it at 35mph and went away by 40. It was off and on at 60 on the rest of the way home. Under load or coasting didn’t seem to matter either. It doesn’t feel like it’s in the steering, just through the rest of the truck. I did check the rear drive shaft and everything felt tight. I had the front and rear shafts rebuilt and balanced when the trans was built about 50k miles ago. The only thing I know is a little worn is my track bar, was mentioned when I had the trans serviced last year. The heat has kept me from…
