Can someone who owns an 01, or similiar brake system, with hyro boost brakes tell me how I can bleed the ABS system. I have replaced my hydro boost and bled the the lines at the tiresbutg, they are still spongy. Is there some other place I should be bleeding the system from?? Thanks for the help!!!

I wrote earlier this week about my oscillation/uneven braking. The manual states the following concerning turning the rotors on a lathe. Can someone please tell me what this means? Is it something a machine shop will know when I go in there and tell them what I need, and, does this imply that the hub needs to with the rotor for turning? Thanks. The lathe must machine both sides of the rotor simultaneously with dual cutter heads. Equipment capable of machining only one side at a time may produce a tapered rotor. A hub mounted on-vehicle lathe is recommended. This type of lathe trues the rotor to the vehicles hub/bearing.

My fuel shut down solenoid had a failure. At first the solenoid would hold but not pull up the plunger. I maually had to push the plunger up to in order to start. I replaced the relay and fuse link at the battery. I tuned the engine over and the pig tail of the solenoid caught fire. Lucky fire didn't spead beyond the wiring and plastic cover at the solenoid. I decided to switch over to a manual cable cable setup vs OEM electric. Works great, see my write up on this conversion in this forum.

I was driving through town this morning, had my window down and could hear a noise like something scrapping. Just as I was about to stop I had good brake pedal but all of a sudden my pedal started to pulse for the ABS and drug the back wheel...pedal still felt good. ABS and brake light came on and stayed on until I stop and shut the truck off to go in somewhere, came back out and drove off, lights are now out ans brakes feel fine. Come to my next set of stop lights and pedal did the same, ABS and brake lights back on. After I got home, pulled the front wheels and coincidence has it that both sides in front has the dust pans rotted off and laying there scrapping as the whe…

  5. Scrap yard has a '94 Dodge 2500, 4x4, V8 (transmission doesn't work, no wheels). I have a '99 dodge 2500, 2x4 with a 24 valve. What will transfer to my truck? I'm getting the parts dirt cheap.I've already gotten:rear-view mirrorsheadlightshood & grillebrake boxfloor mats ()My dad thinks the alternator will swap out from that truck to mine - what I've found online so far says no.Thanks in advance!

I have an 01 2500 but recently changed the factory stereo, it finally gave it up. My problem is all but one of the speakers quit. There is supposed to be a factory amp somewhere and I can not find it. I have the harness to bypass the factory amp, which i think is the problem but I need help finding it. I have already replaced the new stereo I installed but that didn't help so it has to be the factory amp ??????? Also, I have replaced all the factory speakers. I really do not want to cut any wires, all the aftermarket stereo was installed using Metra connectors to save the wires. Cutting factory wires just leads to problems later on, or at least that is my opinion. Just ca…

Hey guys, I'm not 100% sure if the drivers side rear door was replaced (no vin tag) or just put back together after installing a new speaker without replacing these tabs but it's loose, and I want to get new ones so it doesn't rattle. Anyone know the part number or where to get them? The yellow tabs in the pic

  8. A Robin is obsessed with looking at himself in the black shinny paint, mirrors and ss rocker panels on my newer truck. He won't stop poopen on the bed rails when he sees himself in the mirrors. He even attacks the reflection of himself. And since there is another good perch next to my truck on my wifes car door handles, he leaves a good one there almost ea. morning. My CO2 BB gun leaks when I go to put in another Co2 cartridge. Does anyone know how to stop that? Maybe a small 'O'ring or something? Funny, it's only a few years old and won't charge up at all. Thanks in advance I have big guns but don't need a hole that big in truck if a m…

For those of you that did the mod what brand of circuit breaker did you use and have you had any problems with them. I am finishing off mine and also modding my travel trailer to use lithium batteries and wanted to use the same style so I can use it as a disconnect.

Who's the audio specialist? So my stereo speakers started months ago cutting out intermittently sometimes the right sometimes the left sometimes the little tweeter in the A post. Back always worked. But now I'm down to just having a left door speaker. Question is it the stereo, speakers or amplifiers hooked to the speakers? Has anyone had this problem? I thought I'd put in a new stereo but then it had no sound then I found out about the whole amplifier thing powering up I don't want to wire it up correctly if the amps are bad in the first place. So now I'm back trying to figure out what's not working in the first place.

Anyone know of a fix for broken glove box hinges or where I could find a used one for less than 75.00. That seems to be the going rate on Ebay. Tried the junk yards around my area but no luck so far.

Hi I found a 2002 dodge ram 2500 4x4 with a 5.9 gas engine. I was wondering if it had the same suspension, steering, and brakes, etc. as the diesel.

  14. Hello, looking for help on where to pull my 12V ignition power from for my isspro gauges. I am planning on daisy chaining all 3 gauges together. It comes with a supplied 1 amp fuse, but would I need a larger fuse if daisy chaining all 3 gauges together? Or will the 1 amp fuse still suffice? I have read a lot of stuff and everybody seems to be doing it their own way, or different ways at least. My plan is to pull keyed power and run an in-line fuse. Thanks in advance for the help. Wiring is not something I am great at.

So been fighting this issue with air conditioner since it got warm out and even the last year it was giving me fits, basically my compressor won’t stay engaged even if I have up to three cans of refrigerant from a completely vacuumed system. I have manifold gauges hooked up when charging and can get up to between 150 to 200 psi on the high pressure side and compressor will still cycle off and come back on periodically.( it will drop about 50 psi before re engaging) Sometimes it will not re engage and start blowing warm air, I can wiggle the wires by the compressor and it will re engage for a while but eventually it will quit again. I know it sounds like bad wi…

  16. So I pulled off my drum to adjust my brakes and this is what I found. Does this look like a hub seal or wheel cylinder? Please say wheel cylinder... I already have new oversized ones to go in.

Ever here of this? know of anything to check for? not an a/c guru at all I never mess with them. but with all the other problems this truck has had I might as well jump in and see if i can fix this too. Any thing I can unhook to make it not work till im ready for it or get it fixed? by the way its a 2001 auto truck. Thanks in advance

Before I call Quadzilla for support, I thought I'd ask for suggestions here. I recently noticed that my Quadzilla high idle won't start anymore. I have checked several times that it is on and the elapsed time is set right now to 60 seconds. I have tried other tunes and it doesn't work with any of them. I have deleted and reloaded tunes, that didn't help. I checked that my Vehicle Selection is correct, V2 Dodge 98-2002 version 2.7, NOT the 4k. This summer a rodent chewed a little hole in my iQuad box. I have since used a VERY small piece of that rubberized/foil backed tape to seal the hole. I have not had to jumpstart the truck. The only time a battery ch…
