I have a 2002 dodge 2500 6 speed with a edge chip and a fass 150. All of a sudden I am showing 0 boost and getting no throttle pressure and it just pours out black smoke when I give it throttle while driving. Any solutions?

I've had this truck for about a year now. Ups and downs like every 2nd gen but overall I am very happy with this truck. Prepare for picture overload. Quick run down. A buddy posted this truck for sale on fb the day before the transmission decided to die in my grand prix (shocker). I bought this as to be a dd/tow rig when needed. The truck is originally from Texas and moved around a bit. I did find the owner on fb that brought the truck up to Indiana/Michigan and he provided some history on it. The box was trashed from day one. The owner I bought it from did not own up to rolling the truck onto it's side which cause bed damage and some door push in at the bottom. Nothing t…

  5. Very annoying if I'm parked on a hill, the truck won't move at all. Tried all kinds of reset moves I've found online, and changed the fuel filter. It's been hot here lately and I've noticed my glow plug light is briefer than typical - I can't get the rpm's above 21-2400 until several minutes go by, then a big puff of smoke and I have power. Anybody have any ideas?

I was just curious if anyone is running a non gated turbo? Does not have to be an HX35, I just happen to have a non gated with a 14cm exhaust housing. I cant decide if I want to swap the 14cm onto my gated or just throw on the non gated turbo and give it a whirl. I know running a non gated housing requires more attention to the boost gauge and skinny pedal control. I however do not have much done to my truck and doubt it would get to its upper limit anyway. As usual, thanks to all for reading and replying.

  9. Now that I have a Quad (and now set to the correct V2 tuning!) I can see my timing, engine load, etc. When I look around this site I see all kinds of ranges for normal timing and load percentage for various driving conditions, but most folks have larger injectors, higher pop pressures, etc. I have reman Bosch injectors with about 30k miles on them. I still have the HY35 turbo. I roll down the road at about 7,800 pounds, with camper shell. Attached photos are flat Iowa interstate driving, from 10 days ago. The Engine Load seems high; I often see 65% on even a mild rise, such as this morning on my way to work +10 miles into the interstate trip. At idle, my load perce…

  10. I noticed the line coming straight out of the vacuum pump on the fire wall side looks bad. Do any of you guys know the part number or replacement options? Thanks!

  11. INSTALLED SOME MANIFOLD STUDS AND AN ATS ONE PIECE EXHAUST MANIFOLD YESTERDAY ON MY 01 RAM AND NOTICED THAT THE NOTCHED AREAS OF THE HEAD WHERE YOU CAN TOUCH THE HEAD GASKET LOOK LIKE THEY ARE SEPARATING. I COULD NOT IDENTIFY A LEAK BUT I WAS CURIOUS IF THAT WAS TYPICAL AT 167K MILES? TRUCK HAS HEAD STUDS ALREADY AND I SEE NO SIGNS OF FUNCTIONAL GASKET FAILURE WITH OIL OR WATER LEAKS AT THE MOMENT. THANKS

Since I got the trans out and transfer case I decided to change the fluid. I know we talked about it on here. It takes dexron 2-3 or atf+4 but there is just so many out there you can't tell what's good anymore. What you guys running or have you ran these and any problems thanks.

  13. Well gang... I'm back to playing around with OBDII Data again. I'm wanting to move the ScanGauge II to the 1996 Dodge Ram and use my OBDLink LX bluetooth dongle for the 2002 Cummins. The OBDLink LX is basically plug and plug. The Android Software you can get off Google Play. Now as for setup there is a bit configuring. Make sure to fill in the easy stuff like year, make, model. Now the important stuff is the volumetric efficiency, engine displacement (liters) and select intake manifold absolute pressure. You see the 77.5% that is figured from the base line for Cummins ISB is 63% then my old ScanGauge II had a offset of 14.5% so adding together you get 77.5%. …

Been driving around for the past couple months or more with a boost leak. Got a couple weeks off between and dug into it. Put my test cap on and got the soapy water out. Found a good size leak on the upper clamp on the i take horn. No problem just tightened the clamp up. Start hosing the other and nothing. Started spraying the intake cover on the head and when the soapy water hit around #4 it looked like Lawrence Welk has having a bubble party. What I hoped was going to be a 1 hour fix went out the window. I look down between the head and the plate on the intake and I can see the gasket pushed out. Took everything off and find this. Looks like the gasket sepera…

Hello Everyone, I would like to go on a few off pavement trips with my rig and would like to know suggestions on ensuring I make it back to the road. I am not looking for extra hieght per say, but any suggestions on from those who spend more time in the dirt then me? I am looking to tackle mild trails with all of my gear, nothing too crazy like rock crawling. As it sits now, truck is 100% stock suspension and rear has factory overloads. Thank you!

Hey gents, First post, pretty new the the forum thing. Anyone out there have feedback on an Oil Bypass system on our trucks? Worth it? Go the AmsOil route or custom? The question was brought up to me a week ago and got the wheels turning; my truck had a rough life before me, essentially everything BUT the motor has been rebuilt my me just to get her to do her job again. With 358K on the original motor, would an Oil bypass system be effective in anyway. Just trying to put my money where the ol' gal will get the most love long term.

  20. After mentioning last week that my truck leaks like a sieve, that bugged me all weekend to the point I want to get it handled before "someday", but have some questions. Is it worth the time and effort to change the pan gasket knowing full well that my front seal needs to be changed, too? While best to do both at the same time, I'm sure, I'm also willing to do the pan twice if dropping the pan isn't a massive endeavor. Is dropping the pan a big endeavor? I've dropped some pans in my day, even changed out all the bearings from the bottom before - but never on an engine so tight to the cross member. (think a gas big block in a 3-ton truck) Regardless of…
