What are everyones opinions on leveling kits?

I like mine. Seems to make the steering go back to center easier or quicker.I did not like it when I put the camper on cause then I had a major sag and needed airbags. It used to be level when the camper got loaded so air bags it is.

i dont tow or haul so level kit evened things out quite a bit. after a while it will settle about 1/2". It does give the rig a better stance. cant comment on steering as i have to do the box and shaft replacement plus brace.

Mine is level every time I'm using my truck... Just load it up...

mine is the same way as mike's. no leveling kit and it sits level with the trailer on it.total weight 22.7k as shown. the truck sets on the overload springs.

I was considering getting one but wanted to hear if there was any pros or cons

Top gun customz makes a 1" level that I would like to get but my passenger side is sagging a little so I might just put some 2" springs on.

Con is that if you install a leveling kit the nose will be high under load iether in the bed and/or trailer. Con is there is more frontal wind drag. Pro is the truck look level unloaded.

Like mine...Hell Bent Steel 2" kit. Is up a bit in the front when towing my gooseneck, but I don't tow it alot so I'd rather have it level when empty.

I have a leveling kit on my 2000. It's a tad nose-high when I tow my 9000lb tag trailer, but a little better than without, when I'm carrying the snow plow.

I ran a 2" kit for the first 3.5 years I owned my truck. It annoyed me because anything I put in the bed, or towed, took WAY too much air in the bags to stay level. I recently went to the 1" top gun customz kit and LOVE IT, did I say LOVE IT!!! It looks better empty and loaded, the airbags take a fraction of the air, the truck rides MUCH MUCH MUCH better (better angles on the control arms), the fog lights are aimed better, and it handles weight better because more weight is on the springs and not the bags. I think stock isn't quite high enough on the oil pan, and looks a little too low empty and the 2" is a PITA if you ever tow/haul. The 1" really is a great setup.

i personally like the rake of the stock truck when empty and really dont like seeing one nose up when loaded.i never have liked a truck that sqauts in the rear when loaded. it just looks like it cant handle the weight. i still might put air bags on one day, but thats going to have to wait. i would still leave it nose down though.

I like the nose down a little too but with my bumper and winch my springs have taken a beating. When I hit a good dip in the road my draglink is hitting the crossmember under the oil pan so I want to raise it just a little.

Marble, do you have a winch too?

Would aluminum or the ones what are made of rubber better? Or doesnt it make that much difference. I would think the rubber ones would absorb some of the road noise
