  1. take it one wire at a time, Pick a wire, follow it, see what it powers. If you don't need or use it remove it. If needed rout the wire next to existing wire harness and cover them with a split wire loom for a clean install and terminate them in the PDC or add an auxiliary fuse box.like the one shown below.
  2. My grandpa used to live trap them on the other side of the pond then pull a rope attached to the trap from across the pond into the water to drown them. rarely had one spray. if you shoot them in the spine they also can't spray.
  3. I found you something on Facebook.
  4. Thats the retirement dance. Hubba, hubba.
  5. Vitamin C has a broad spectrum antioxidant function with the ability to protect cell structures and DNA from free radical damage. Vitamin C is remarkably safe even in enormously high doses. Compared to commonly used prescription drugs, side effects are virtually nonexistent. 6. Dripley I have not smoked for 14 months now. I quit smoking a 1,000 times. Finally my mid 60's they were really affecting my health and quit by telling myself just make yourself suffer and quit. I was sucking on short tree branches pretending to smoke to ease the pain. It helped some. The biggest gain is how I feel so good now.
  7. Appreciate you thinking about my health. The smoking has been weighing on me pretty hard the past couple years and it is about to chuck em. To easy to buy and very hard to put them down. I remeber back in the 70's saying if they ever get to a dollar a pack I'm quitting. Did not listen to myself very well. Also i guess all the mass quantities we consumed back then have most likely worn off since my hippie days.

At this point I want a running parts truck 98.5-02 24 valve, otherwise I will buy a remanufactured short block making sure it is not a 53. Then I will have the head gone through harness cleaned, inspected and repaired as needed. Transmission will be opened up and any parts in question will be replaced. Whole chassis is getting pressure washed and prepped for storage I will look for a parts truck for 3 months then buy a short block and proceed forward.
  9. @dripley just needs to change what he's smokin'. That would protect him from the cancer that tobacco will give him and help heal his lungs from the tars in tobacco smoke.
  10. A college professor strongly insisted we all take vitamin C on a regular basis. He was so popular to all us students that I started looking him up after 46 yrs. I was in his class in 1970. It turns out he just retired in 2014 and then died 2 yrs later at 102 yrs old. He was a cool individual always positive. taught us to always find humor in life. I rode in his 68 Porsche back to the campus after an overnight astronomy field trip. I'll never forget him he was a good impression for all us freshman back then. I looked up at the heavens last night and thought about all those things he printed in my head 46 yrs ago. If only we could get Dripley (the big chicken) to quit smokin .... He needs vitamin C and a smoke switch.
  11. Torque converter and Ring gear off.
  12. Out here in Idaho lots of ground has been changed into Wilderness Areas where motorized vehicles are not allowed. Then preventing majority of people from traveling out there unless you have an outfitter guide or a horse. Like all the mountain behind me is a wilderness area. All the roads a gated off and only the rich people that can afford the $25,000 outfitter fees can access this ground now. Not fair. With USFS and Idaho Dept of Lands closing more roads and access to the forest this in now creating your posted problem because there are less areas people can go to enjoy.
  13. Well my 18 is great. It pulls 100x better than my 2nd gen. Its quite reasonable on fuel and comfortable.
  14. You can try a APPS reset... I seriously doubt the APPS is the cause being the 5 volt signal is not being generated this makes ALL the sensors including the APPS wrong. First you need to fix the 5V problem before changing APPS sensors other than that you buying a APPS for nothing and still have the problem.
  15. Hi Mike, He bought it without Batteries. Shouldn't he try the TPS calibration? If it is bad, isn't there a TIMBO TPS in the store? Thanks Michael :- )

Run in 4 low. Youd need to reduce speeds and take advantage of the hidden gearing your truck has. Unless it's a 2wd in that case your fffffed. With tcase engaged theres less strain on motor and transmission. You then could get the converter locked in 3rd at the cost of reduced speeds. I'd rather go slower and make my transmission happy then to roast it with only fluid coupling going on.
  17. Basically the new version is a Ford Starter Solenoid. Pass the high current power lead of the grid heater through the high current studs the wire a toggle switch for the smaller control studs. Bingo. ECM still sees the grid heater solenoids no codes. You can turn off the grid heaters at any time.
  18. I would be concerned with the P1488. Double check all your electrical connections for the batteries and ground make sure they are good. Then clear the errors and try again. If it returns then you might end up sending the ECM to Auto Computer Specialist.
  19. They already run similar on skidsteers . Actually been seeing them for 10years or so
  20. 4G AirDog is a good pump. Just don't want anything to do with the 3G pumps those are the ones with serious issues. My old 2G pump ran for a very long time before failure. I've replaced plenty. Diaphragm fails and the fuel starts pumping fuel into the crankcase. Another common is person changes a fuel filter or runs out of fuel and the primer lever is broken change the fuel pump to get it started. Not to mention the VE didn't require much pressure (about 6 PSI) or volume. (no high volume return).
  21. You can legally pump diesel in OR at any station. I do it all the time.

I know the angst you had. After following Jag1 up and down the cow paths of Oregon my trans fluid was dark in color and it was only a couple of thousand miles old. I use Valvoline synthetic. @wil440 if you keep using your old transmission pan put a drain in it. It makes changing the fluid and dropping the pan a lot easier and cleaner. You can drill a 13mm hole in the front left corner of the pan then tack weld a 12mmX1.25 nut on the inside and don't weld all the way around the nut; it's thin sheet metal. Install an engine drain plug with plastic, fiber, or rubber washer. I tighten to 25 Nm.

I agree, especially since he stripped the block down.

I been lied to in situations like that..... so I ask is there anyway you can strike up a fair deal to get it running before you have to pay in full? Something like that anyway.... I wouldn't want to spend a bunch of time/ money on something I couldn't see hear running first. I've always wanted to find a good parts truck that is driveable.
  25. Its not a filter its a strainer. Look back through this post to find the part number if you want to look it up. Just keeps big chunks of crap out of the pump.
