Help!!!! HVAC and blower controls out- Moving in a week....
Bingo... Most of the circuits in these truck have constant power +12V from PDC but the controls tend to switch the grounds off and on. So with the panel lighting and the controls there grounds should got to either a center of the dash ground lug or over to the driver side kick panel. I know the image is a bit small but you get the idea...

Getting Tired of Snow Already
Now sampling the weather in the teens I'm not liking it at all. We you do get cold it seems to take longer and longer to warm up. Yes... I'm in my forties too... Thermometer is starting to fall now...

Getting Tired of Snow Already
To me winter means I can finally shut everything down and mostly stay at home. Being everything around here requires long distances to do anything. Most people around here are flexible and don't mind putting off for a few days because of weather and road conditions.

Getting Tired of Snow Already
Ran my truck into town about 3 days ago to get a full tank of fuel. I always keep both truck in service just in case things go wrong very fast. Right now the 96 Dodge is the primary but if it fails I still got the 02 Dodge to back it up.

CAD Axle violent release.
Ok... Later on today I'll get a fire lit in the shop and take a peek at the CAD unit. Is there any gasket on the unit or can I just silicone the unit back?

CAD Axle violent release.
I know this isn't exactly diesel related but on my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 the CAD axle tends to hang up once engaged. Then when you you try to disengage the 4WD the lever goes to 2WD just fine and the transfer case releases. But the CAD unit holds the axle for extended period like maybe another mile or so. POP! Violently releases you can feel it in the entire truck. I'm not liking the CAD units at all I rather have a solid axle personally way less to go wrong.

Anyone ever have a Frantz filter leak?
The seals I bought about 4-5 at a time and keep a extra in the truck just in case. But I've never have a seal out right fail nor the can come loose. As for changing I've got to remove several revolutions of paper and then just using my hand pushing the paper into the can.

200,000
You got a good chance of catching me now being the truck has been parked for over 1 month now and continues to be parked. Diesel is still $4.069 and unleaded is now down to $3.129... Not even worth firing up the diesel any more.

Absolutely.... That's why you size up your scene before even attempting to enter or save a person. The person in this video is most likely long gone as well and the police officer had tunnel vision and ran for it. There is a web site Fire Fighter Close Calls which is exactly like the video above. All the dumb things that fire fighter do and get hurt or killed over.

One of the things you got to do asset the scene before entering the scene. One of the golden rules of the extrication class I just took this summer. Another thing is the police officer made the mistake of rushing into a HazMat area without proper PPE (Personal Protection Gear) which should of been a SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) which most FD have on there trucks. Since no one is has the proper PPE you stay out of the HazMat zone. One of the few thing that annoys me to death out here is the police typically will respond to the call first then call us out. So sooner or later the wasted time of waiting is going to cost someone's life or the lack of PPE gear for people will cost a life. Yes I'm certified... http://www.linkedin.com/in/mopar1973man

High idle/3cyl high idle/MPG fooler unit
Auto Version? If you do the flash to enable the high idle its automatic by design. All the high idle mod does beyond that is give you control of when and where.

false temp readings
Might for the sake of testing dis connect the Ebrake signal wire for a short period. See if that is causing a issue.

3am Fire call...
Day in and day out I manage to scratch funds to together with odd jobs, and truck work to keep fuel in the rigs. Now you know exactly why I'm a MPG Guru and hunting for ever ounce of MPG I can get. Do you think I drive speed limit every where I go for SRRFD (Salmon River Rural FD) or personal business? Heck no... I drive with MPG in mind because in one day I can drive at least 200 miles easy without think doing work for SRRFD. If I make a mistake and forget something it might cost me dearly in fuel to go back and get it or it doesn't get done at all. Think about it every Tuesday I got to I got to leave early around 2-3pm for work at the FD. Now I hook up with Chief and we are cleaning, fixing, repairing, etc. Then after that leave the station and head into town and from 7pm till 9-10pm do more training in town. By the time I get done with the training and getting everything cleaned up with the Chief I get home by 11:30pm. Kelly and myself hold the most amount of volunteer hours in the entire dept.Dennis McCullom (Old Fire Chief), Myself, James Clark, Kelly Hinkley

Valid point. There is a lot of people that stand around with video camera recording all kinds of illegal and dumb acts. He's just as much to blame as the police officer talking on the phone.
