  1. Last night MoparMom end up with a severe nose bleed. I rushed her to the hospital at about 3am. The wonderful doctors got control of the bleeding. I'm kind of mental wreck right now but I think you can understand that. Doctor at this point is chalking up to stress and what has been happening last few days. Our neighbor (mail person) is going through a long drawn out divorce case (2 years now!) and we've been helping her get through it. If you don't mind gang would you please offer a few prayers for MoparMom. :pray:I just talked to her on the phone shes doing good and going to try and catch up on some sleep. Been a long night for both of us...
  2. I've got my own home made grill inserts that typically amp up the coolant a few extra degrees like 193-197*F and a small boost to IAT temps.
  3. Ouch... That going to hurt more than the turbo I fed a hose clamp. Ekkk... I kind of wonder about the cam gear since its not stock and maybe there was a minor defect in the gear. Since between bill and yourself you got more information to nail down this issue.
  4. Welcome to the family. As far as the error code P1694... http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/59-obdii-error-codes/232-p1694-no-bus-message-received-from-companion-module Before jumping out there you might want to double check the diagnostic first for clues and check over wiring issues.
  5. MPG Fooler - Attempts to mimic summer temperature to increase MPG. Since the only sensor that changes sue to weather is IAT sensor. High Idle 6 & 3 Cylinder - Allows you to select either mode to warm up your truck quickly in the cold winter or maybe keep the alternator amped up while working or maybe set high idle for the hot days to cool the truck down with air conditioning.
  6. I had to like than and toss it back out on my FB...
  7. Here is what I order for people... http://www.alligatorperformance.com/gauge-mechanical-fuel-pressure-black-p-1678.html
  8. For drilling for the EGT's.. For you boost gauge...
  9. Nice. That's certainly cheap for fuel...
  10. Last I knew Ed is working on the cubby hole setup first and will work on others really soon.
  11. Another lap to the grocery store for miscellaneous stuff. No cheating here I'm still driving the 1996 Dodge 1500. You'll notice my Tmg (total for the tank is a bit low) I made a run to New Meadows, ID and haul a trailer load of pallets back for a neighbor. But I've now broke over 20 MPG with a 5.9L V8 engine now with a Automatic Trans...Vitals I can give...1996 Dodge Ram 1500 - 5.9L Magnum V8 - 46RE Automatic Trans - Mopar Performance PCM - 3.55 Gear Ratio - Scaled 5,200# Fuel: 87 OctaneTrip: 90 Miles TraveledCargo and Passengers: 2 on board (350#), groceries (80#), 1/2 Tank of fuelHigh Temp Outside: 35*FSpeed: 55 MPH or lower speed limits never exceeded 55 MPH.IAT: varied from 95-105*F.Coolant Temp: 191-193*F Tire Pressures: Front Axle: 43 PSI - Rear Axle: 29 PSIElevation: McCall, ID 5,100 feet approx.Home: 2,800 Feet measured.Going up I used 3rd Gear all the way from home to McCall, ID then at select times that I could I would use 4th gear (OD) on the way down. Tmg - Total For the Tank - 17.8 MPGCmg - Today's MPG - 21.6 MPG
  12. The only reason I ditched the OEM box I know this is a 2nd Gen issue but not sure on 3rd Gen. But the plastic of the stock box will deform over time and allow dust to leaking past the panel filter gasket. The only way to fix this is to grease the seal. Too darn messy for me. Hence the BHAF works awesome. Since I'm not racing I don't think the flow rates are much of a issue.
  13. After the damage I would send it back in to be verify its still functional and allow Edge to see the damage to the CTS.
  14. Test your oil pressure at the oil filter base. Then pull your error codes to give us clues of what is going wrong.
  15. Check the IOD fuse in the funky clip. IOD = Ignition Off Draw...
  16. Bad injectors. You might have the injectors tested and see if they are sticking open which is common on Common Rail engines.
  17. Simple method would be to pressurize the fuel tank and look for wet spots or wet joints. Do the tank pressure test right after running the truck to ensure the fuel lines are all filled with fuel. Then hope the 1-2 PSI of fuel tank pressure is capable of pushing fuel out the air leak. Sometimes it works and other times it don't.
  18. I've got the same though a air leak possibly. Oldschool says he's got a AirDog on his truck. I wonder if its a quick connect fitting possibly throwing a bit of air in the system. Fuel pressure gauge?
  19. Did you big line the section between the stock filter can and the VP44?
  20. 18 hours 32 minutes and 1,255 miles east of me. http://goo.gl/maps/UhIlI
  21. UPDATE... WARNING! Make sure to test at the battery post on the alternator.
  22. Here is a awesome video... I now have to change to test at the alternator battery post.
  23. Not to hijack but I'm getting on my soap box now... My big problem is Corporate America beating into everyones head that you must have a degree or certification in the jobs you want to do. Yeah... I've got a ITT Tech degree for Computer and Electronics today it completely worthless paper. Technology has moved on what I was trained for is no longer even used.(Transistor FM radios and TV you could actually repair, not to mention the first IBM 8088 processor. http://www.linkedin.com/in/mopar1973man Ok. Now as for the diesel realm I've never been to school for it in my life. I've got no certifications or degrees or education in diesel engines. But I make a living here locally working on vehicles gas or diesels. Not to mention the web site and all you looking for information. So here you are talking and getting information about you truck from a guy that is NOT a certified ASE tech but knows more about Dodge Trucks than most dealers do. What's funny I've actually had a few Dodge dealer tech's actually call me looking for information because the problem they have is not in the Dodge FSM and he can't figure out how to fix it. Strange eh?! I'm climbing down off my soap box now.
