Steps for removal of cracked exhaust manifold
I feel its best to use a impact tool or wrench and dead blow hammer to free exhaust hardware. Typically after all the heat cycles the metal tends to weaken on harden bolts so just putting a ratchet on or wrench on it and pull tends to break them off. Don't ask how many bolts I broke off in the turbo. :banghead:

Brake line leak?
My local Chevron fuel station sells double flare brake line in a assorted lengths. So I would cut and double flare the existing ends then add a small piece of brake line with brass brake fittings in-between. Yes you'll have to drain the fuel tank and drop it to do the repair correctly. Other than that your a safety hazard to you and others.

Chrysler RE Diagnostics PDF by Mike Van Dyke
I tend to dis-agree with any wiring mods to the truck. Like he even states doing a APPS sensors wiring mods. Why??? Remember these truck ran 10-12 years without this mod...

The bear is moving in
Got a problem. I can't shoot in the yard. North of me there is houses, south of me there is houses, east of me is the highway (illegal to shoot across roads), west of me is the mountain. So even if I could get out of the house with him here I would have to hope he ran back up the mountain in the dark and shoot towards the mountain at about 1-3am in the morning. Just not happening.

Rotational Mass
In a nut shell the more weight you shave off of rotational part the more HP/TQ you can put to the ground and the better your MPG's will be.

Who's Burning???
Might be true but still calculating all the fuel for the truck, wood splitter, chainsaw, and the 2 cycle oil for both the truck and the saws. I'm still way cheaper for heat than electric or propane.

Who's Burning???
Up here Tamarack (or Larch) is considered Platinum wood up here. The Gold is Redfir. Me I grab anything close to the road that I can cut up and load in my trailer without busting too much tail to get it. If I got to work excessively them there is no need to even try. There is so much fire kill wood its just stupid to pass up Alpine fir and Spruce which is considered Silver grade. So I've just got to haul home a bit extra to make it through the winter so what.

Brake Caliper?
... or take it out for a ride on a long straight and allow it to come to stop on it own. Rolling to a stop and then carefully reach in and check all the rotor temp by touch. The warm on usually is the dragging caliper.

Hey everybody! HELP!!
Yeah talk to ISX he's the family guru for 12V stuff. As for the 5th gear nut I'm also a 5 speed owner as well and no issues with 5th gear nut now and 222k miles and still rolling. This includes heavy hauling mountain driving too.

2008 Dodge with ABS issues
Hey gang...Does anyone have any secrets to the ABS on the 2008 Dodge? What I got is the Fire Chief with his truck where the ABS pump is actually pumping up the brakes till they are smoking without ever touching the brake pedal. He's only got about 59k on the clock. Dealer is over 100 miles away and they want it to look at. But he want to just fix the issue with the long journey. So so anyone got some clues for my Chief?

The bear is moving in
Maybe it would better yet to cut "Diesel" out the door with a IR Camera and watch the entertainment. "Diesel" has been clocked at about 30-35 MPH at a flat out run. I think this fat bear would be no challenge to him. Like my fire chief said let him run "Diesel" would tree him most likely. Meat for the freezer and rug for the living room.

Brake Caliper?
Common. I see this from people buying new calipers and then leaving the dirty old brake fluid in the master cylinder and then the debris settles again into the bottom of the caliper. The only way to fix is to disassemble the calipers, clean and re-assemble.I've heard of the brake hose thing but never seen one yet.Now. I've just got a phone call from my Fire Chief with his 6.7L Cummins finally did something weird. Long story short the Chief's truck decided to start pumping up the brakes not with the hydro-booster but with the ABS brake pump. Really weird but after un-hooking the brakes returned to normal again.
