  1. Even if you buy a new ECM the truck has to towed to the dealer to have it flashed. Even if you got a used ECM off another truck you still have drag the truck down to the dealer swap the ECM there and have it flashed. This is to make sure the proper software is on the ECM. I've heard stories of people getting away with just mounting on a used ECM but eventually need to be flashed because of other issues.
  2. No. That is well above the normal spectrum for sure. But I could twist it up and see what happens.
  3. How about asking yourself about the "Fast and the furious" Eric Holder what about this guy? This guy was caught selling gun to Mexico to stir up gun violence along the Mexico border. More or less the Gov't creates the problem then steps in and with Gun Laws say give up your guns and all will be fine. I'm sorry but Australia already is having problems with this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGaDAThOHhA
  4. For MPG's the average range of high point is 100-140*F IATFor high 6 cylinder you need 32*F in the manifold with grid heaters active. Like ISX got a video measuring his grid heater and it con produce 400-500*F easy. So reaching 32*F on a cold morning can be tough hence the fooler. Then 3 Cylinder is set at 15*F with grid heaters running. So it got to be really cold to reach this one.
  5. It to fool the ECM that the conditions are colder than typical and force the ECM to start the high idle software for faster warm up times.
  6. ECM is not booting up. So since the ECm is not booting up with software then the CCD network is down because the ECM is brain dead. There will not be any relay to click because there is no software to read sensors and turn on grid heaters or even tell the lift pump to come one. Then if you thing your going to start it... It won't because since there is no software it doesn't know how to fire the VP44 either. So your problem seems to stem from the ECM.
  7. This is one of the reason I start open carrying my gun with me. Like most criminals that have be interviewed they will not take on a target (store, person, etc) if other people are already carrying a weapons and are visible. Like you said these guys are looking for easy prey they go to schools because number 1. its a federal law that no one is allow to open carry or conceal carry on a school campus. So that means there is no resistance to the shooter he knows there is no other people with a gun to stop him. (Like a cop). Then since the average 911 response time nationwide is over 20-25 minutes you got lots of time to do something really stupid like killing people then shoot yourself. This is why I say everyone should be allow to carry since 99% of the public is unarmed the criminals know this so they prey on the weak and unarmed people.
  8. That's typically what I do is look for the hot brake parts by touch if the part is super hot trust me you won't have touch it you'll smell it for sure.
  9. Ok. Edited...
  10. Riggins, ID 15 miles north. New Meadows, ID 20 miles south. McCall, ID - 35 miles south. Grangeville, ID 65 miles north. Lewiston, ID 125 miles north. Boise, ID 180 miles south. Nothing is around the corner for me...
  11. Just what I thought... Actually a facebook with suit and ties...
  12. No thank you... I sign up a while back and like everyone under the sun from different places were wanting to link up with me. For what? Kind seem like the same twitter and facebook Like idea just for business. :duh:Unless I'm missing something...
  13. As for the clearance lights the only thing else I can think of is see if a local hardware store seal o-rings of different sizes and see if you can find one large enough for the clearance light so when you tighten it up its seals nice and tight.
  14. But I'm happily self-employed person...
  15. Crank sensor good no P0336?The lift pump is controlled directly from the ECM so if the ECM isn't giving a signal to energize the relay for the Raptor then it never comes on.
  16. What the heck is LinkedIn another facebook for businesses? I getting request to add myself to linkedin I did once before then constantly got email and such. What is so good about linkedin? Do I need to rejoin or is it worth it?
  17. It all good... Just you point of view... We are all adults and can sit down a have our point of views without blowing up at each other which is very magical about this site compared to others.
  18. I'm still running stock 3" pipe... One of these days it will get upgraded to 4"...
  19. Well you tried and found out the APPS sensor was actual bad in the mid part of the rheostat. Well thanks for trying...
  20. It need to boot up the software to even turn on the wait to start light. So if the software isn't booted into memory the ECM isn't functioning and the light won't come on.
  21. Check the spring and make sure the ball isn't being push back in the coils of the spring. What I did was crushed the last coil slightly to prevent the check ball from sneaking back into the coils giving the low fuel pressure.
  22. Rarely... I mean RARELY have I ever seen anyone get there ECM back from a rebuilder that actually works. If it does come back working then most times it last for short time and fails again. So as for reliable source of a ECM is the Dodge Dealer. Sad but true... The only one of this site I know of that got lucky was CajFlynn he got some fly by night place to rebuild his ECM and it actually still working the last I knew.
  23. Some do and some don't. Like ScanGauge II and Ultra Gauge does. But standard OBDII reader most likely will not. Then there is other upper end OBDII readers like SnapOn, etc.
  24. Exactly... I would like to add in one other component to this mix which is timing. It's a fine art of fuel, air, and timing. Get it figured out for your driving habits, and loads you'll have a truck with good MPG but produces goobs of HP/TQ with little smoke.
