  1. Call 208-628-3441 and talk to Carolyn Friend wonderful Real Estate lady. http://www.blevinsrealestate.com/ As for getting back to basics I'm just about there myself. Very simple life style.
  2. Yes. 1989 to 2002 is all power steering fluid.2003 and forward is ATF.
  3. Busted... Yeah your right this is 3rd Gen... 24+ hours without sleep does some weird things to you.
  4. Straight pipe 3" with no issues. I don't see the need to even upgrade my 2002 to 4". My EGT's are very controllable even towing up steep grades.
  5. Here is all about the CCD network on the truck. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/general-cummins/34-engine-system/81-ccd-data-bus
  6. Transmission (Manual) is the only one I suggest the Mopar fluid for. The rest is common every day fluids. Engine oil 15w-40 (pick a brand)Power Steering fluid (not ATF)Transfer Case is ATF+4 but ATF+3 will work also.Axles 80w-90 GL-5 Gear lube is fine.Coolant (pick a brand all are good)Brake fluid (Any DOT-3)
  7. My Setting for the 2002 Dodge CumminsFuel Type: DieselaFuel Offset: 22.5% (RV275 Injectors)Fuel Offset: 19.6% (Stock Injectors)Speed: 1% (Corrected for 0.5 MPH offset more true number vs. hand math)As for the speed offset my GPS constantly shows the speedometer off by 0.5 MPH and if I set for 0% speed then the miles are highier showing higher MPG's so I opted for 1% to reduce the speed so the miles are lower and closer to correct and showing slighly lower MPG causing me to fight harder for good numbers. :wink:My Settings for the 1996 Dodge Ram 1500Fuel Type: GasFuel Offset: 233% (Not a typo)Speed: 0%So I can quick change settings and hook up to either rig and see real data. As for the lack of data I would check for error codes or watch for them. Sound like a CCD Network issues coming.
  8. I typically drain it out with the nose low to aid in capturing as much as possible. (~5 Gals) But I flush with irrigation water and let it run out on the ground there is no way to capture coolant while flushing nearly impossible.
  9. Way ahead of you... I've been watching the collapse of the local economy here. The only thing that's holding it together right now in the Sheep Fire, Wesley Fire, and a few others locally. With most of the forest locked up and hunting is very limited I doubt highly hunting is a economy factor as of right now for us.We don't have the violence or the big crime up here per say but the local business are closing up and large amounts of homes up for sale. Local food stores prices are so darn high here its best for us to hitch up the RV and haul down to Boise, ID and camp out for 2-3 days and shop WalMart, WinCo, etc. and load up the house properly with bulk amounts. Price of diesel is up to $4.709 a gallon in New Meadows and rising. There is people here that make a living off of dumpster diving and fishing out scrap metal and hauling it to Payette, ID. Now down in the larger cities like Boise, ID and Ontario, OR I've been seeing more and more homeless hanging around WalMart and K-Mart. Sad. :(But on a another note I'm been released from the SAR's mission with the road guard duty and will be back here on duty once again.
  10. Same fuel station.Same fuel pump.Same direction at the same pump.Fill till the pump cancels by itself. Don't top off!Mine is dead on the money as of current mods. (+/- 0.1 gals)
  11. Well after day 4 of working SAR's for Idaho County and Sheep Fire security I've cleared over 928 miles of driving back and forth. Finally got a bit wore out on this and reported this to the Security lead of the ICP camp. He's said he would do everything he could to relocate me on the south end of the fire closer to home. In the mean time I've got 2 days off yet and got to catch up with James my buddy and help him take care of his vehicle today. I got to change CV joints on his Ford Explorer. (2000 4.0L) Fun... Then I can get back to work on the fire again.http://goo.gl/maps/gl3vl
  12. This is a old school AirDog short bed bracket which is no longer produced. You could fab out a bracket I'm sure for you application too. As for the mount there is no holes in the frame it's a clamp on style mounting.Personally I would chop off the quick connects and go back to the old school JIC and Pshloc fittings... Talk to Eric at Vulcan Performance.
  13. I guess someone needs to take it back over to the Article database and add it to the pile.
  14. I'm full 1/2" line from the Drawstraw I to the VP44 including the stock filter is on the system. There is is no old fuel plumbing left in my setup. The only reason I said this is from driving up and down forestry road the filter use to get dents from all the roads and tree limbs I would run over. I figured on day I would be unlucky and poke a hole.
  15. Well you could just use 2 valves one for the suction lines and the other for the return lines. Then both tanks would be usable. As for pumping from tank to another typically results in a mess. I seen so many times where a person does this and then ends up over filling the tank and pushing diesel out of the main tank all over the highway. Best to just hook up both and use the second tank first then flip back to the original tank as a second because it has a gauge. Or if you really slick change up the sender and hook both up on a toggle switch. My old 1972 Dodge had the behind the seat tank and then a aux tank under the bed. Just had a pull knob toggle switch that controlled the fuel valve and the fuel gauge. Same thing could be done on our truck just got to plumb the return line too.
  16. I'll have to take a peek at mine... I pulled a lot of heavy logs and trailers...
  17. Also running Timbo's APPS and still have a slight bounce to the tach. Nothing that bothers me so far. Now if we start talking about my injector misfire different story. (Time to clean again!)
  18. :lmao:I know the day that Smarty does release that there will be new life back to the VP44 powered vehicles. But I still wonder how much they really can do with it.
  19. The only thing to be aware of if your doing any offroad service even plowed roads I would highly suggest you reconsider your mounting because any pump mounted flat to the frame rail will be beat up from all road debris thrown by the front tires. So consider you mounting location wisely.
  20. I did the AirDog 150 years ago to just get over the hurdle of fighting fuel pressure all the time. Completely protected by the skid plate and transfer case. I tend to go offroad to get firewood in the fall of the year. Never had any problems with this setup.
  21. I'm running yellow now. As for mileage I put 30K miles on every year just about. Then looking in the owners manual that is the period when all fluids should be changed. Heck with all the running for SAR's I've cleared 1,000 miles in 4 days. So roughly at that rate 120 days I would be changing fluids again. Thank Gawd I'm not though...
  22. Lately... I don't sleep very much being that I've got night duty on the fire. As for the diagnostics yeah I would double check all wiring before buying parts and guessing.
  23. For the last 4 days of working SAR's up on the Sheep Fire I've been buying $50 bucks of fuel every night at $4.299 and so far I just about cleared 1,000 miles of travel.
  24. WalMart SuperTech Coolant and Prestone are both YELLOW. As far as I understand yellow is universal and can be used with either green or orange.
