  1. Here is a quick clip I created yesterday even as a passing storm came over the valley. I set my Video Camera up in the living room windows and set it up for Time Lapse of 5 secs per frame and let it go till the battery died. Here is what I captured...
  2. I sure hope this is the end of the adventure...
  3. Like myself since propane is a common fuel out here in Idaho I've been looking at this for a long time but for the exact reason you mention is the flamable mixture in the intercooler and turbo is what bugs me. Also the math of with and without propane seem a bit skewed but typical. Now like the tidbit article you post mention a 30 gallon propane tank? So much propane do you need really? How much propane do you consume over a tank a fuel?
  4. The first two pics look like your in the jungle somewhere... The second two pics looks like a swap cross Idaho forest... Interesting to say the least... May I ask where your at when you shot these pics?
  5. Cummins supplies the new sensor for less... Question though do you have any kind of add on module (Edge Juice or simular)? Here is more information on the code... http://forum.mopar1973man.com/showthread.php/2571-P0237-Map-Sensor-Voltage-Too-Low
  6. :lmao:Sorry no Subtitles...
  7. ... or go to the dealer and have it flashed.
  8. Might try the vendor list... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/dealers/dealers.htm
  9. In my case all new o-rings and copper shims...
  10. Well that is the only thing that is keeping my misfire issues under control I sure hear the misfire more so if I forget to add to the fuel... :rolleyes:I know my injectors are already seen better days and over 400K miles... But for free I couldn't complain...
  11. The batteries I just bought where $2,800 bucks for the system. This included freight and disposal of the old batteries. These are Trojan lead acid batteries and will have a life of about 12-14 years. http://www.trojanbattery.com/Products/L16RE-B6V.aspx http://www.trojanbattery.com/Products/RenewableEnergy.aspx Typical battery maintenance... http://www.trojanbattery.com/BatteryMaintenance/Charging.aspx
  12. That's how I got the brush cover off the back of the starter. I had to dig out my #2 phillips and put it on my impact gun to rattle them out. As for the grimmy mess that is from #5 and #6 injectors bleeding on the manifold I found out...
  13. Just take the lead brick out of your boot and use common sense when throttling. Keep an eye on your trans temps and once again use common sense.
  14. I hate to say it but they use a lot of salt and mag-cloride out here too... The funny part is the body and under side of my truck is A1 perfect yet... Why? Because even in the winter time I wash the truck and I don't just wash the paint. I wash the underside out with plenty of clear water. I wash out all the road mud and dirt...But like I've been taugh... When you go buy a vehicle bring your overalls and lay on your back and look up. The interior and under the hood will look good but lay on your back and look up... Whole new story...
  15. Sad to say most people will run from that engine being a 53 block...
  16. The only time I seen a huge problem with keeping tire balanced is the larger tire like 265's and above. even my Cooper 265's have huge amount of lead on them just to keep them true. There is better than 1-2 oz on each rim. But my 235's I'm still running I've got 3 rims completely true without and lead! Also they are just cheap Big O AT's tires... I would love to see your results and findings...
  17. Would you being willing to create a thread in the non-powertrain and document the bulb numbers and where you go the bulbs at... Please... It would be a wonder addition to the site...
  18. There is nothing near me... Really... Napa is 52 miles 1 way... Nearest Home Depot is ~180 miles 1 way... Closest town to me with a population of about 300 people has a gas station, post office, grocery store, and 3 bars... Even Harbor Frieght is the same distance as HomeDepot... Everything is in Boise, ID... Just to give you a feel... Watch the vids... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPV0cnu7kdc and
  19. As far as I understand the 4WD can be adjusted for caster and toe... The only way I know to change camber is to buy offset upper ball joints...
  20. :banghead:I should really do this with all my air tools... It a good idea and I should of paid more attention to detail in the early years and I wouldn't be trapped with the restrictive air fittings today...
  21. Ok... First off I let you know that Prowelder has his own group listed here... http://forum.mopar1973man.com/group.php?groupid=6 As for your problems... It sounds like you got a few things hooked up wrong... Take the plug on the ECM side of both the coolant and the intake air temp leads and then take a digital voltmeter and measure the ohms on the ECM plug. Then toggle the switch the line should go open (inifinite ohms). ECT lead should show at the ECM 3.3K ohms and open. IAT lead should show at the ECM 39K ohm or 56K ohms and open. Then change up your diagnostics... Take both ends sensor and ECM ends and probe both pins one on each side. On the OPEN position of the switch in the previous test both ends should be a direct short or 0 Ohms. Check to see if you got the plug end on the right leads...
  22. Ummm... Be my guest... I all I did was get lucky on my mounting... Behind the bezel is a signal screw for the pouch below and basically bent a L bracket and drilled a hole. My problem was my hole was a bit off and required tweaking to get the SG to sit tight. You don't want to see the other side of that braket... It a road sign still with its reflective markings...
  23. That's weird... way back when I bought mine I had a few problems software wise but in the mean time I had a conversation with on of the tech long ago. What he told me was on the Edge Comp if you unhook the tap wire it reverts to level 1. So no matter what level you set it to it was still level 1. The sub level continued to work the same though.1. 402. 603. 804. 1005. 120So untapped accord to what i was told would be 40 HP. But I look at it this way... This is all second hand information and nothing in writing from Edge Products so I'm willing to admit maybe my information could be wrong... :shrug:What I can tell you without thinking... Is the best MPG's are found on 5x5 and WITH the wire tap. It all up to you and your foot..I just pulled a beautiful 23.6 MPG today...
