  1. I bought a set of brand new 3rd gen Dodge AMP Research Power Steps and the Tyca Industries 2nd gen conversion kit to mount them on my 01. The magnetic switches that come with the Tyca conversion kit was wired as instructed - solid purple to left door magnetic switch, and purple/yellow to right door magnetic switch, and then the 2nd wires from each magnetic switch went to a known good ground. Neither step is working from them, so I pulled those POS magnetic switches out. For the 3rd Gen Dodges, they use a posi-loc terminal to tap into each door ajar switch at each door - solid purple for left front door, purple/grey for left rear door, purple/yellow for right front door, and purple/white for right rear door. The instructions state that the steps are looking for a "ground" signal to make them work. According to the 01 Dodge ram manual, the left door ajar switch has a tan, white, and black/green wires on that side, with the black/green being the ground wire. Is that correct? It states that the passenger side door has a black/light blue wire, and the black/green wire is the ground wire for that side as well.
  2. I've heard good things about these rebuild kits; https://fostertruck.com/collections/dodge-starter-rebuild-kits
  3. I'm not sure what "flag style mount" is, but the mounting areas for the door mirrors will be the same for 2nd gen Dodge pickups - 94-01 Dodge Ram 1500, and 94-02 Dodge Ram 2500 - 3500 all use the same mirrors.
  4. Yes, the doors are quad cab specific 98.5-02 Ram 2500 and 3500, and 98.5-01 Ram 1500 quad cab pickups. You cannot use doors from a 94-97 extended cab as the lower rear corners are round and not square. Regular cab doors will not work regardless, as they are different as well.

  6. One vacuum line should be a little bit longer than the other one, which would go to the shorter metal line on the t-case crossmember.
  7. AlfaOBD can do a lot of functions paired with the OBDLink MX or MX+ https://www.cumminsforum.com/threads/alfaobd-injector-kill-test-cylinder-performance-test-readings-help-me-understand.2523739/
  8. As soon as a cougar or any other predator becomes fearless of humans, then it's time to take action, unfortunately for the animal because they are just living/surviving on instinct to find their next meal. If Fish and Wildlife won't do anything to relocate the cougar, then I'd suggest that you buy a hunting license {if you don't have one), and a cougar permit so that you can humanely hunt it. I haven't tried it yet, but I know several people that have ate cougar and they all say it tastes pretty darn good. Once you harvest it, you could get a nice taxidermy mount made from it.
  9. Great looking dogs! I adopted my BM/GSD mix on 12/31/22. She will be 8 months old on 4/9/23. I named her Piper, and she is such a blessing in our family. The last pic is when we adopted her.
  10. When my APPS was going out, it was bucking and surging and giving me dead pedal. That was when I initially bought the pickup and had to drive it 220 miles home that way from the car dealership, Of course it didn't do it when on the test drive, only after I bought the rig.
  11. Yep, clean the obstruction in the diff vent line/cap and you should be good to go.
  12. I need to switch my Sport headlights to LED. My headlight housings are nice and clear, but the halogen bulbs just don't cut it anymore.
  13. The Quadzilla tuner version you want, is this one; https://www.dieselautopower.com/quadzilla-adrenaline-with-iquad-for-01-02.html
  14. This is what I use with my MX and it has worked for ABS on my buddy's 07 Cummins ABS, and the 4th gen RAM hemi 4x4 I had for everything on it. https://alfaobd.com/
  15. Any aftermarket parts house starters can be defective without much use. My buddy bought a new parts house starter for his 07 6.7 and it went out twice in less than 6 months. He had to switch to a Denso starter to not have any more issues with it.
  16. The gas truck wiring will be different than your diesel wiring harness. You really need to install your original complete harness and related electrical components from your original cab first, and use your original PCM.
  17. What year is the cab that you installed on your 02? Did you use your all the existing wiring in your cab that you took off, or did you use the donor cab wiring? Did you use the original PCM from your old cab, or use the donor cab PCM? IIRC if your donor cab is 98.5 - 99, or a 2000 year, you will probably want to use your original wiring from the cab you took off. I think 01-02 are the same, but you will still want to use your original PCM because it is programmed to your VIN of our truck, and will have all the factory features enabled on it.
  18. It seems as though Blue Top has not been very responsive for a while now. I'm not sure what's going on with them.
  19. If you have a dremel with a cutoff wheel, you can make a regular screwdriver slot in the head of the PSG stripped bolt to remove it.
  20. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
  21. It's just the 5.7 but someday I might a wild hair and decide to rebuild it into a stroker motor.
  22. I installed my Geno's winter front cover in front of my radiator, condenser, etc. a couple weeks ago in anticipation of the winter temps arriving.
  23. I just hauled my friend's 2000 Durango 4x4 on the car trailer on snow and ice back to my shop so that I can diagnose and fix his P1784 trans trouble code issue. He already had a brand new TCM installed 4 years ago from the local trans shop, so I'm kinda leaning towards the Low Reverse solenoid switch or a faulty wire in the harness as being the issue. Right now when diesel is almost a $1 more a gallon, I'm still driving my 97 4Runner SR5 3.4 5 speed 4x4 because it's easier to drive and I just replaced the heater core and valve cover gaskets on it last week, so the heater in it works awesome now.
  24. I sent that to my brother that just traded his 2019 Colorado 2.8L Duramax off for a 2020 Jeep Wrangler 4 door 4x4 with the 4 cyl turbocharged engine.
  25. Nice Challenger! My brother had a 2019 Challenger Black Top Edition in Destroyer Grey. He ended up trading it in for a 4x4 diesel rig as he lives up on the mtn at our family's ranch. Here's my 2010 AWD Hemi Charger
