  11. What do they look like ? The new ones.
  12. I would search as many diesel sites as possible. I have read spearco is over priced but 90% of info i read is good. Bd not so good, Ats, 50/50. I have a factory ic so i have no first hand with any of them, Just what others post. Let us know who you go with.
  13. Thanks you guys, i have to pull my dash to replace everything. ac/h-core. It looks like i should fix the doors as well.
  14. I dont know what i did wrong? I did both sides with an otc ball joint remover kit and no heat. My ball joints were in there for 10 years. You guys seem to have more fun than i do.
  15. Make sure the radiator is clean, to me thats step one. Check the fan clutch as well. Check coolant level in the overflow tank. I only use cummins thermostats. I used redline "water wetter" and it will drop your coolant temp. It worked in mine. http://www.redlineoil.com/Products.aspx?pcid=10 When i am in 4whigh and have a heavy load it puts more heat into everything. Maybe try 4 low. Just make sure you hit the breaks good to avoid the clunk when shifting. I have a good water pump do you want to try it to see if there is a difference?
  16. The timbo apps is cheaper than the factory. I have one and it seems to work well.
  17. If you can ,ask the tranny guy if he replaced the solenoid that shifts it. Maybe it is something we are not thinking of ?
  18. If i remember correctly 3rd to 4th is shifted by a solenoid. Almost sounds like a voltage problem. When was the last fluid/filter change? If the solenoid needs to be replaced you can do the fluid/filter at that time.
  19. Did you replace the apps when you had the 3 codes?

Thanks, before i do that i am going back to the shop and have it checked out again.Maybe the guy didnt understand me when i instructed him on what i wanted done. I showed him the control arms that i wanted set to spec.Maybe he didnt check the toe on the tie rods. Just looking at it parked i can see it looks off. This place has a good rep. Maybe i spoke with a new guy . --- Update to the previous post... Well bad news for me. I called the guy who 3 years ago told me about the alignment shop that i went to. He said they dont take trucks there any more because the place went down hill and now do lame work. Bummer for me. I have a warranty but i will not go back. I am working to go to a different place. You know, this blows. The reputation of this place went form the steak house to the out house. I just wish i knew before hand. I found a nice shop I hope they will get me in soon. I filled up and some how i did 18.65 mpg that is the best ever !! I went 486 miles on 26 gal. of fuel. Today i filled 26 gal and reset the trip. I think thats good for a dually. Now to clear that up a bit, I filled up at a station that is 100 ft from the ramp to the freeway. So that is ALL freeway miles no city and it was almost non stop.
  21. I have 5 leafs. The lowest one has a little rubber pad on the front and back and is thicker than them all. Then i have 3 more then a spacer then the last spring. I put 2500 lbs in it and drove 20 miles in the city. The springs came this way in my truck. The guy before me had a camper in it.With 8 you should be ok for a heavy load. How far do you have to go? How bumpy is the road. If you go slow it is better.I had my load bounce and my end gate was down it snaped both straps

It seems to go down the road straight. When i stop it is also straight no pull.If i take a tape measure should the the rear of the tire match with the front to each other? Example, if i measure 15in. off the ground in front and rear of the tire then go middle tread to middle tread should the front be the same as the rear? --- Update to the previous post... If i had a toe in problem wouldnt both tires wear?

Well i am at a loss. I did use a 3ft pry bar. There is no movement. It is a all moog front end. Say, if you were to guess would you say the upper ball joint is in need of adjustment or the lower. Myself, i think upper. The outside of the pass tire is bad.

I do have a warranty. From what i understand it has no adjustment. I have looked this up and some say bad ball joint, bent axle, bad bearing. The only cure i found is adjustable ball joint.
