Track bar
I have that one, it is nice. It is adjustible and well made. My factory bar was played out at 175k miles.Measure your frame on both sides you will be able to see if your track bar is out of wack.

Mpg
No on the pulling. Yes i know i put to much 2 stroke in. I had 1/4 tank before i started the trip and i filled up and added one quart. I had the tire pressure set at 80 in hopes to get the best mpg possible. Most of the time 70 psi is what i run. This was a mpg test. However i did have about 200 lbs in the bed.(junk) This dually has mud flaps and a windshiled visor that didnt help with the mpg.For 8300 lbs i am happy. I have a heavy flat cap that covers the bed.It is heavy. Michael funny you mentioned tire wear. This last wednesday before the alignment shop i put the inside duals on the front because they stay super flat. I looked at both front and they were both nice. After 475 miles i can see a problem. Today i rechecked the hub bearing for 180 lbs.The driver side is fine the passenger side must have positive camber problems. The outside is wearing. The front end is new but these axles do not have camber adjustment. So maybe i should replace the new ball joint with an adjustable unit? I tryed to move the tire when it was up in the air, it is solid no play at all.

Control arms
Well the rebuild is finished. Moog tie rods,I went with a 3rd gen trac bar bolt on, no drilling. 1/2inch longer than factory upper and lower control arms because i have a 3 inch lift. The front end is now centered.Dss steering stabilizer. End links. I did this with a tape measure just to get it to the shop. It drove pretty well for a tape measure job. Yesterday i went to the alignment shop and the guy adjusted it to factory specifications all good. It feels better than when i picked it up used with 70k on it.

Maybe fuel filter weak lift pump or dirty cloged injectors.

Cut-Off Switch
Yes i have a vp44.Yes it will run without the relay.I put 50 miles on with no lift pump at all.Now i do have a hellmanns sump and maybe that helped it get fuel.I even hit the freeway doing 70mph.I had a friend help me and he unpluged the relay from my fass.I was about 30 miles into my trip and looked down at my fuel pressure and:stuned:I just wanted to get home. --- Update to the previous post... Well this may sound like a bummer. The anti theft has to be turned on and off every time you use the truck.

Cut-Off Switch
http://www.madselectronics.com/DownloadS03A.html Yes smarty has anti theft. The #5 ecm wire also works with a toggle switch. My truck runs with the fuel relay unpluged.

My Baby Is Gone!!
#5 green wire is ecm power wire.A toggle to it and no start. Now about your truck.Man i am sorry to here this. On the news they had a story about people in parking lots with some kind of a computer that reads your key fob.It can unlock your truck. But that only gets them in the cab.I dont know how to get it started from that point.Maybe some one flatbed it ?

The Second Opinion

Control arms
Thats a good point.I am having a guy make some fixed arms for me.They have ballistic joints.I dont want to put a big lilt kit on my dually.6 tires allready cost an arm and a leg. With bigger tires it would be out of my range.Speaking of tires, some day i would like to put 3rd gen factory dually rims.To me that look better.

Need a wheel bearing, are these crap?
Why didnt you press them out with the power steering? --- Update to the previous post... I have a few thousand miles on my 99.$$.I talked with another guy who has 25k on his.

Our Friends at The Dealer!
Thats sad. However i ran 50 miles with no power to a lift pump.Yes no power at all.70 mph on the freeway. :stuned:I did have a sump mounted under my tank and that may have helped. The truck ran bad but still ran.It is a long story on how it was disconnected and i have another pump so i have no hard feelings.

no bus
Not sure.On my 01 slt auto i put my friends ecm on from a slt auto and it worked.I did get a code that was because my pcm.The ecm and the pcm are linked to talk together. It did work and all was good, just that one code.I also tryed his pcm with my ecm. That worked as well. Are they both 5 spds? The time that my friend gave me his pcm he said that the security code is different and my key fob wouldnt open the doors. That is my extent of knowledge on the ecm/pcm subject....sorry.(Or to quote forest gump "thats all i have to say about that")
-
no bus
Did the guy say if the truck had the problem before the transfer case deal.If it ran fine before the tc deal i would look for cut wires under by the ecm.

Need furnace and central air advice
Do they both have the same warranty. Also check for factory recall with heat exchangers. If you can go to a new subdivision drive around and talk with a hvlc guy.Gather info from other companys.Ask them flat out what's better. You may find out there both made by the same wholesaler maybe not.Maybe the heat exchangers are the same maybe the blower motors are the same.We use to rock 6 brand new housed a week when things were good.I have seen both myself.More heil than tempstar but that dont prove much.I still would ask a service man.The main thing is service call time and warranty.

Front wheel bearings
I also want to let the antibelt people out there know if you put a small pinch clamp on the beltstrap snug to the seat the belt doesnt dig into your gut and still works fine.I really cant feel the belt at all,and the red belt light goes out.
