  1. Beat you to it, Mike. Posted there right after the post here!
  2. Have an old JD tractor, model 1050. Broke the housing (CH19231, which is a sub for CH 19158), non repairable. Went to the local JD here and they said the part is obsolete! Anyone have one just taking up shelf space? Anyone know of a JD junkyard by chance? I am going to post on the tractor forum as well.
  3. Bad thing is that a friend had to tell you that you were out of fuel! If it was a stranger, then you wouldn't be subject of having the matter brought back up! Glad it was a easy fix.
  4. You say your not getting it past the injectors. Have you tried seeing if fuel comes out right after the LP and the right after the fuel filter?
  5. Buy the repair kit. Easy fix!
  6. Welcome to the family! Thank you for your service!
  7. Welcome to the forum!
  8. Your reply is not clear. You read your codes from a code reader? Clearly you have a FP problem. You need to get a better fuel delivery system on your truck. You can check all of your lines to see if you have any kinks in the fuel lines, check the fuel tank to see if it is getting clogged from there as well. But, I would be looking at a Fass, AirDog, or Raptor fuel system if I was in your shoes.
  9. On some 2001 trucks when you do the key trick you only get 1 "done". There should be 2 "done". I would retry the key trick and wait to make sure you get 2 "done"s. If you don't you will need to get a code reader to have it done. If you're only getting one done then only one computer is being read. Did you rev the engine upto 3000 rpm while it was in park? Or did you do it while driving?

    Welcome to the family!
  12. I would check for codes. You will need a code reader for your truck, Key trick will not work for that year. What is your FP at idle and WOT? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? The stock pump could be DOA.
  13. Welcome Aboard!
  14. I think mine is louder from the engine and not the exhaust! :lmao:Can't change that!
  15. I did mine about a year ago. Thought I had an oil leak from the pan. After the pipe was put in, no oil leak! I don't know why I didn't do it sooner! If you mean the black abs pipe, I don't see that that would be a problem. I did use a 3/4" heater hose for the down spout though.
  16. It sounds like your fp gauge could be giving you a false reading. I would try to verify your fp with another gauge and I would still check the fuel filter. --- Update to the previous post... I caught that too. Just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page!
  17. Do you mean injection pump? Where is your fuel pump located? In the tank or by the fuel filter? When was the fuel filter last changed?
  18. It is best to replace both batteries at the same time. Make sure you are using the correct group battery for the rig. Check the CCA's and reserve capacity on them. The higher the numbers the better. Also, you should be getting longer than 12 monthes out of a battery. I would start checking your wiring from the alternator to make sure there is no problems present. Plus, I would have the alternator checked out as well.
  19. Time to forget about that road!
  20. We need a little more info before we can start diagnosing your problem. What year is your rig? How did you check for codes? What is your fuel pressure at idle and WOT?
  21. I am with Ryan. If the lights only dim when first starting up (when cold) it is the grid heaters sucking out so much juice. I would remove the belt and hand turn the alternator and idler pulley and see if you can feel any roughness in them. Idler pulley is a cheap fix.
