03-07 Transfer case support bracket.
Weird - if that was the issue, you'd then they would need it on all trucks. The description seems inaccurate. I thought about putting one on mine, but like you said the flimsy skid plate doesn't seem like the best place to mount it.

No need for a bobbed one, I need a whole one. I'd use it as a business truck to take products to shows. CL has them for around 10k usually

03-07 Transfer case support bracket.
AFAIK the aluminum tail housing on the 48RE is much thinner than the G56 / NV5600 and as such they need support to keep it from flexing. It's not to help the transfer case, but rather the trans.

They're always mad about something. Since I got the electronics out of it, mine has been much better about being alive. I'm slowly getting it beat down.

There's a huge difference between our transmissions. I'm speaking purely from the G56 side. It does NOT have a good rep for cold winter conditions inside the G56. Because your syncros are carbon fiber they might bite a bit harder when cold, and that's why they work better. I'm honestly not sure why - I'm glad it works though. It's not just a scare tactic - using the wrong oil can and did cause problems for many people. I wouldn't have been afraid to use Amsoil in my 4500 (many people have used it and had good luck), but because I could get the fluid I knew would keep the trans happy that's what I opted for. An extra $50 every 100K for oil means nothing to me. I would not have used the fluid you are because very few have run it in that trans. I don't like to be a tester when it comes to a $1500 trans.

I'm talking about the cases where they tried the fluid you're using and it wouldn't shift well during winter. They then changed to a lighter fluid during the winter and it shifted fine. There's a HUGE thread about this on CF. John knows the one I'm talking about. There's TONS of options. I however will not be a guinea pig or use fluids people have had bad experiences with.

Holy smokes you guys are kinda agreeing I was scared away from the fluid you are using @Mopar1973Man because of the cold issues while using it with the G56. It looked about 50:50 on those who did and didn't have issues. I can say my G56 is very happy with the fluid @AH64ID sold me. Temps are always in check and it shifts very well in the cold.

He wouldn't know what to do with tight steering Too bad you'll have them both before either get put in!

I tried the 83/1.1 T6 and drive pressure was nuts. 115+ at 65 boost. It was probably around 600hp too. Made the EGTs skyrocket.

Seems mighty tight on the exhaust side. 1.1 T4 twin scroll exhaust housing with an 87 wheel

Valvoline does not meet the spec though-- From the site Advantages of Valvoline Heavy Duty Synthetic Transmission Fluid SAE 50 include: • Improved cold weather shift ability and quicker lubrication of transmission components. • Longer seal life due to fewer deposits, better seal compatibility and improved high temperature properties. • Increased thermal stability and reduced component deposits. • Reduced component wear and deposits lead to longer transmission and lubricant service life. • Operational benefits such as the potential for fuel economy and reduced downtime maintenance. • Allows extended warranty coverage (750,000 miles) at Eaton and Rockwell International. • Meets the requirements of Rockwell International 0-81, Eaton Transmission Division PS-081 & PS-164 REV 7, and API MT-1. • Meets the requirements of Volvo 97305-89, and can be used in Volvo I-Shift transmissions at the standard drain intervals. Source: https://www.grainger.com/ec/pdf/4NPV1_1.pdf From what you've posted, the oil you actually have might be meeting the spec, but given the data about the oil currently made it does not meet the spec. Like I said, recommending the oil isn't a problem, we just need to make sure anyone who looks at this knows the facts about the oils (which includes what specs they do and do not meet.)

I love pictures!! Question, is that oil still made though? The only stuff I've found does not have the GL-4 rating. It's very possible they've changed the formula and it no longer meets the specs for GL-4.

Mike, I'm going to approach this impartially. The oil you are using does not meet the API GL-4 spec. That is a fact. Now, does it work well for you? It appears that way, and that's great! I don't disagree! If you want to recommend it, I think that's fine; You really need to make sure you have the facts of the oil straight though. There's plenty of misinformation on the web already, and I'd like to think this is a site that does a good job squashing misinformation. These are the hard facts of the oil. The price hasn't changed in quite a while. If $125 for a trans oil change is too much, that person shouldn't own a diesel. I'm sure @AH64ID can go into the specifics as to why that oil is not the best to use, but we've already hashed this out. At the end of the day it's your trans to do whatever you please with.

I'd make sure you have equal weight on both axles (while unloaded). Don't make the equalizer level though or it won't sit right while loaded.

Heard good things about these http://www.metalcloak.com/Metalcloak-Dodge-Ram-Suspensions-s/294.htm These are always good quality, but who knows how long it'll take you to get them http://store.dodgeoffroad.com/Dodge-Off-Road-Bent-Short-Arms-Non-Adjustable-94-02_p_18.html

That's probably why he is contemplating taking it down. What type of suspension is under it @Me78569? Regardless I do think it needs to come down some. How far depends on how far the truck squats when fully loaded

At least you have the hydroboost brakes right?? They are simple! @Me78569 you had any issues with your turbo in the last year?

Love the big hammer test!! I've definitely seen worse welds! That really does look good for only trying a couple times in your life. Turn your heat up a bit, and run some slow consistent stringers.
