  1. Yea, I've done stuff like that. Went down a shortcut with my boat that was so bad I had to go home and fiberglass the hole I put in the hull so I could use it again........
  2. Well, then you need to decide if you want to supply your own warranty. Personally I would wait until the warranty was up.
  3. Far as I know there are no seals needed to change the pump.
  4. I got permission from my wife to get an exhaust brake!! I found one place that I can get the exhaust brake and 60# exhaust springs for $818. I already have on board air so I don't need to worry about that to run the brake if it needs it. Where would the best place be to get one?
  5. If you are concerned about warranty could you call II and see what they say about tapping the wire?
  6. ^^^^THIS^^^^
  7. I know how that is. That is what my ear is like too. There is a chemical that can be injected that kills the nerve for the stability part and it can cause the hearing part to die. I have though about it, but there is just enough sound getting through to assist slightly so I am rather reluctant to get it done, plus I have been told that if it is done, the first thirty minutes are just plain hell with everything spinning.
  8. Hopefully you didn't hit your hand. I have been known to do that........ Glad you got it going your way, Russ!
  9. Yea, you are going to find out it is a real noisy world out there! My biggest problem with mine is that my jaw makes so much noise when eating (banging/knocking type sound) that I need to remove my hearing aid (I have two, but this damn Meneir's cost me my hearing in my right ear) when I eat. Once it is in my pocket it may inadvertently get turned back on and it would squeal, but I wouldn't hear it so someone would tell me about it. Putting it point blank....HEARING LOSS SUCKS!
  10. Amazing how loud paper is isn't it? With mine if I go outside the wind noise is a killer.
  11. With luck like mine or yours? You should be able to make something work.
  12. Take a look at this: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=350800
  13. Giood hard frost in Florida??
  14. Another thing to do is get some acetone and ATF. Mix the two at a 50/50 mix and soak it down with the mixture. By tomorrow it will come off much easier.
  15. Well, if she said so........ WOO HOO!!
  16. Maybe with a puller it will surprise you and slide right off!! Well, you can hope.........
  17. John, you can get the Maxxis tires in a 15" load range E. They are the only ones I know of that make a LR E in a 15" tire. Lowest price I have found: http://simpletire.com/maxxis-st225-75r15-tl15713000-tires
  18. Rubber valve stems are rated for 65 psi. Take a look at this page for better info: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=208 I put the 602hp stems on my trailer rims. The tires are rated for 65 psi, but I don't want to be running the cheaper stems at max pressure.
  19. Start with the simple things first like checking the oil. Just give everything a good visual inspection. Chances of plugging a line are fairly remote.
  20. Be kind of hard to tell when you have a miss..........
  21. If you are careful you can cut the race with a hand grinder then just before you go all the way through hit it with a sharp chisel and you should be able to crack the race and it will come off then. Too bad you are so far away from me, I would be happy to assist you.
  22. Because believe it or not, for the most part the engineers got it right! The stock intake (except for the intake on the head) is good for about 500HP if I remember right.
  23. I have heard about this Heartbleed problem for a while now. From what I understand unless the server has had a security fix changing your password won't do much. I have not heard of anyone having their information compromised because of it, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Also, my understanding is that most of the vulnerable servers have already installed the patch to plug the security holes. You can learn more here: http://heartbleed.com/
  24. Dang, you are having all manners of 'fun'. Have you tried to use a punch and hammer to see if the bearing just might come off without to much trouble? Might save you a few bucks.
