  1. I wouldn't dare knock her, I met her in November and she is cool beans, any woman who can do what she does in todays world has my respect. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/index.php?/topic/9250-had-a-great-get-together-in-florida/#entry101361
  2. I just need to remember to crawl under the dash and see what the issue is.
  3. I had a set of those on my 02, worked ok but they shook / vibrated a lot at road speeds and was hard to see from the vibration in certain conditions but overall they beat having nothing plus they saved the cost of factory type tow mirrors.
  4. A coworkers mother had a total loss of her house due to a similar issue couple months ago, Known starter electrical issues, parked car in garage shut it off and something shorted and burned the house to the ground, her dog woke her in middle of night and she was able to get out unharmed.
  5. It is mind boggling how at work how many time this happens on all kinds of equipment, no common sense in most cases along with complacency. Folks born and raised in our wind and this still happens way to often.
  6. I have had the issue of the brake pedal not returning all the way up against the stop on my 05, has actually been that way since I have owned it just took me a while to figure out why my cruise control would intermittently kick out on its own. Then I noticed a few times after exiting the cab my brake lights were still on and noticed my brake controller was lit as well that is when I found my pedal wasn't fully returning to full up position, sticks about 1/8 - 1/4 inch down from the stop where it needs to be to deactivate the switch. Just never took the time to crawl under the dash to see why yet, kinda made a habit of sticking my toe under the pedal and making sure it was up before getting out. lol. Actually always forget about it when I am looking it over for things to do.
  7. Going to sleep on it tonight but am leaning towards this rear end posi carrier. I have been around these in the past and have worked on a few and they are simple and durable and will work perfect for my needs and the price is right. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yukon-DuraLock-Chrysler-9-25-12-Bolt-Posi-Limited-Slip-Differential-Extras-/261493245022?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2010%7CMake%3ADodge%7CModel%3ARam+1500&hash=item3ce236445e&vxp=mtr http://www.yukongear.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProdID=9643
  8. OK from my research for rear carriers I found that 2010 was a crossover year for the 1500 as far as rear axles went, there are 3 different rear axles one being a 10.5 inch ring gear and the confusion comes with the 2 different 9.25 inch ring gears, one is a standard Chrysler and one is the newer Chrysler "ZF" 9.25 and there is a lot of confusion about the two and how to tell the difference. I have been searching for a while and most forums get off topic on the subject but I finally found a link with great info on this for future reference. Issues popped up when folks wanted to change gear ratios and the aftermarket stalled out for a couple years not wanting to R&D a product for a new axle that had issues with pinion nuts and other things but have since stepped up with products for them now. Upon looking at mine I am lucky enough to have the normal older Chrysler 9.25 so after market parts are easier to get for me. Now to decide which one to go with. http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/files/PDF%20Files/2010-9-25-zf-tech.pdf
  9. Direct replacement. no issues at all. Like stated several times SO is a better option than an HO anyhow.
  10. I know that but as things go there wasn't enough trouble with the old system and they didn't sell enough parts and service so lets see how we can make more money off the masses.........................
  11. I can't believe they even rebuild /sell the HO pumps anymore as the SO is a much better more popular pump and has more fueling capabilities if wanting to add bigger injectors.
  12. Lots of guys around here are ditching the cummins in droves for the 6.4 Hemi as well if they do not tow heavy full time. If they are 50/50 work and drivers they are saving a lot of money versus the cummins from what I have been hearing from the oil field folks. The 6.4 Hemi is a different animal with a ton of power for a gasser and getting pretty good mileage to boot, even GM and Ford diesel guys are jumping ship for these around here and loving them big time.
  13. Over on Ram forumz the Bully dog seems to be the one to run with great results on the Hemi engines, they are capable of a lot more with tuning alone like our cummins versus the older gassers. The guy I bought it from says he ran it only on the highest setting only as long as he had it and he pulled stock trailers most of the time, he said it did make a noticeable difference in power and he gained 1-1.5 mpg overall just daily driving but he didn't know what the economy setting would do as he never ran it.
  14. Every diff I ever had in my demolition derby car days got that mod and it works awesome. But yeah it is a bit extreme for a dder lol. I want a LS unit not a locker of any sort. I am more a fan of the clutch type units and not the biasing or "active" units so to say.
  15. X2^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  16. Just found a good deal on a slightly used Bully Dog GT tuner for my 2010 Hemi, got it for less than half of new and it was only used for a few months as the guy traded his pickup in and kept the tuner. http://www.bismanonline.com/bully_dog_gt_for_hemi_vehicle_tuner_and_multi_gau/?app_track=member_message Am also looking at the best option for a limited slip carrier for the rear end as well, never in my life have driven a vehicle this long without a limited slip of some sort in the rear and this thing has driven me crazy long enough so hopefully I will have one locked down in a few weeks once I decide the best bang for the buck for it.
  17. Won't be in tonight, Wife and I are headed out on a date night and going to see a bluegrass show in Bismarck. http://www.cottonwoodbluegrass.com/ http://www.bluemoonrisingband.com/ Gotta get out of the house, mother in law just got out of the hospital after 4 days with pneumonia in one lung and the flu and the wife brought her to our house to recover, My wife and I are about the only ones I know of in a 6 county area that have not been sick yet so she brings the epidemic right into my living room hacking and gagging all over the place trying their best to fully infect the rest of the country side. Good thing I am stocked up on all kinds of Young living essential oil products especially Thieves oil products.
  18. I am talking about reliability and durability and simplicity and wonder why aftermarket never jumped on a design of pump that was higher flow that mounts in the same spot and driven off the cam.
  19. Pretty sure the 250GPH versions will supply enough for anything you wanted on a street driven machine. I know the 150's will get you to well over 600 hp easily.
  20. The ring gear is not designed to run something full time like a pump not to mention it runs dry and would wear the gears extremely fast and be very noisy. Now a modified front covert with access to the gear train to drive off would be the cats meow. Far as I am concerned they lost the best system by going away from a cam lobe driven pump.
  21. I want to know where you sent your oil to for the analysis so we can all avoid them. If they saw these numbers and did not do a fuel flash test to confirm fuel in the oil and just left you guessing what good is this company? I would have to let all know as top avoid them, this should be part of any quality analysis period...............................
  22. An inch shorter I would have been a queen, an inch longer I would have been a king...............................
  23. What technology did they recently bring to your area? Would be interested to hear about it. Here is a link to the new diesel refinery that went online just before Christmas. The state and oil industry are trying to keep a lot more product local and process it here to avoid the transportation glut we run into since a couple of big pipelines are being held up that are creating issues with the railroads other commodity backlogs like AG products and coal. http://www.dprefining.com/ There are several natural gas processing plants in the works as well as fertilizer plants and a new 400 billion dollar plastics / pvc pellet manufacturing facility committed to the state now to they are looking for the right location as of now but I can't recall the company name right off the top of my head.
  24. Diesel is a different animal compared to gasoline, ever since the EPS's ultra low sulfer mandate that changed the refining process which is longer much more complicated process and more expensive so diesel will never be to low levels like gas due to that alone not to mention the demand for diesel keeps climbing as well but for me locally hopefully in the coming months I hope our prices fall due to a new diesel fuel specific refinery having gone live a couple weeks ago about 80 miles from me, first new refinery built in USA in nearly 40 years and one more in the process of being built that will be a diesel only refinery as well here in ND.
  25. Running 285's on all of my 2nd gens they all rubbed on the bent up lip of the lower control arms with factory rims, I just heated and bent or ground the area off on them problem solved, on my 02 I had aftermarket control arms and there was little to no contact on them, I could see rub marks after being off road but nothing I ever noticed.
