  1. Under Armor wicking base layer for the cold weather.
  2. You mean this isn't the "Normal" way of putting pants on? https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152594332756412
  3. Fat men need to "Climb in" fit men "jump" in......................
  4. A year ago I fit that to a "T", but have done a 180 over the last year dropping 80 lbs and working out like a mad man and am now even a bit toned and now my wife wants to see me naked again......................with the lights on lol.........................
  5. Your 06 I am assuming only has the t-case mounted shift actuator with the live front axle. My 2010 1500 Hemi has an actuator on the t-case and it has an electronic actuated CAD on the passenger side axle right off the diff pretty much like GM has used for a long while now. Which is why it takes a bit longer to engage, better have it locked in long before you think you will need it and not as I used to and pull it in while I was plowing through the snow banks already with the mechanical shift 4X4's.
  6. Hee Hee Hee.....................and people think its cold in ND, was a balmy +2 overnight last night here. A few years ago we went to Fl. in December, got off the plane in Orlando to be met by 38* temps exactly the same as when we got on in Bismarck. Even this last trip we saw temps in the 40's & 50's and windy the last few days there, was warmer in ND than Fl for a few days in November. Gotta love Hawaii, 75-80 year round not much variance.
  7. Do not waste your time or money on a factory 4.5 turn unit get a 3.5 turn and it will be the best mod you ever do, trust me I have owned 3 second gens and this one single mod is the best of the best for them.
  8. Makes sense. seems the 06+ was more common by that time on lesser trim packages.
  9. This slant of looking at the price of fuel appears to be pretty accurate if one looks at all of the adjusted costs that go along with the times. http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/gasoline/
  10. That's what bites about this cold snap is we have been over 80% humidity for a while too, the cold has definitely got more "Bite" to it when the humidity gets over 70% range.
  11. Saw these stories popping up on several news sites this morning. http://www.idahostatejournal.com/news/local/another-mysterious-explosion-heard-in-bingham-county-residents-in-riverside/article_e76e150e-8f2f-11e4-86f2-573e59da983c.html
  12. I think they started offering the electric t-case shift option around 06-07 on the 3rd gens, never personally saw an 05 or earlier one with electric shift. I do like the manual shift version, nothing beets being able to reach down and have instant 4X4 and not have to wait for 5-10 seconds for the newer electric system to engage or even the vacuum CAD systems of the second gens for that matter. My 2010 1500 Hemi has double the electrics, has an electric actuator on both the front axle and t-case.
  13. You need to buy a bolt on conversion bracket for the frame end to go along with the 3rd gen track bar. I don't believe there is any difference in the OEM 3rd gen track bars 2500 or 3500 just source the cheapest one you can find, most all the diesel parts sites carry the conversion bracket as well.
  14. Your cold feels a lot worse coming off the big lake than our cold, that high humidity cold off the lake blows right through my bones twice as fast as other types of cold. I never thought I would get tired of the cold and winter but every year past 40 makes me want to be down south more and more every year and every trip down there just reinforces that even more.
  15. Last winter was actually very mild for us up here in ND. Only shoveled snow twice and although winter seemed to last 6 weeks longer than normal the temps were overall above average for the winter as a whole. -12 actual temp and -31 wind chill on the weather station at this moment here at work. It has been a very warm fall and early winter for us as well like Tom said, can't complain at all.
  16. Prom, EEprom, RAM and as AH64ID said a few threads ago "LMNOP", What ever the correct terminology my 02 ECM died during Flash #2 with my new Smarty. No matter what the cycle rating is there are always exceptions............................just saying, lucky for me I had Marco and Bob W to help in finding this out.
  17. Glad I won't be meeting you on the road lol.....................that's pretty wide
  18. I fried the PROM on the ECM of my 02 during only the second download when I first bought my smarty, problem was I was 40 miles from the closest town in the middle of the prairie when it happened, took a wrecker several hours to get to me to get it back home, Bob Wagner and marco of Smarty were both on the phone with me trying to figure it out, come to find that when my key was turned on there was never a preheater indicator and that is when Marco knew it was the prom, Bob wagner overnighted me a replacement ecm at no cost to me, both stand up guys.
  19. I run all my trailers "7 of them" tires to the max load psi as well, I find they last longer that way but this is different than on the tow vehicle itself.
  20. Ain't that the truth now days.
  21. If it were me I wouldn't be worried about anything performance wise if the company is footing the bills for it. Having come from a career where I lived out of a service truck servicing heavy construction equipment and Ag equipment over the years if I was given an opportunity like this would be to find options to make it as comfortable as can be for your posture, comfort, convenience and safety inside the cab over the long haul since you will be spending a lot of time in it. This is stuff that can follow you to different rigs in the future as well if it will be a one time deal from the company don't waste it on performance items on a 5 year old business ride that will most likely be gone in the near future. Make it about "fit my needs better" not the physical vehicle other than comfort items this from someone who spent many long days on the road after an 8-12 hours of hard but busting work and then jumping into a rough riding stripped down Ford F450/550 rigs or FL 70 freightliner or KW service trucks that were not fun to do long rides in when not tired none less wore out and sore from a hard days work to boot.
  22. My honest opinion is I would never run a d rated tire on a 2500 just as a safety precaution of the possibility of heavy loads for long distances. 1/2 ton absolutely the only choice would be d rated tires.
  23. Comes down to sidewall flex and how heavy and how often you are going to tow or haul, if it is regular you will most likely see failed sidewall or bad cords & tread separation over time with the D rated on a 2500. D rated will run hotter under load due to sidewall flex not being able to run them past 65 psi versus E rated tires at 80 psi.
  24. I got 85K out of a set of BF ats and sold them to a buddy who got another 25K out of them and sold that rig with the same tires on it. They were D rated 285-75-16's on my 95 ram 1500. I had them siped when new and I think that helped a lot too they saw a lot of trailer and gravel as well.
  25. Welcome to M1973M. Fill in your signature and let us know what you have for a ride and a detailed description of it and any current or past modifications repairs or added options ect, anything to help out a bit better.
