  1. sure sounds like TC unlocking and locking issues to me. does this happen if you lock OD off by pusing hte OD button the end of the shifter? 40 mph is awful low rpm for 4th as well. what rpm is this happening? also please post up the tune so we can look at it.
  2. boost offset has been deprocated in the released version. How far off is your boost reading?
  3. a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away Me78569 was still sane.
  4. meh, just dont drive like a crazy person until you get heat into it.
  5. yea you are idling WAY to long. I typically give her 30 seconds on a close start to stablize oil pressure and rpms at idle before I take off. all you are doing is burning fuel.
  6. my controller is on the passenger side, then the wires run up next to the battery cross over cable
  7. Talked with @Quadzilla Power today about the 2.7 beta -> final move. We both decided that the boost offset feature was causing more trouble than it was worth. we have reverted how the late model trucks read boost to using the 13 psi offset. The way the truck drives is perfectly fine if idle psi is 0, 1, or 2 psi. It is annoying but trying to solve the issue just complicates things more than most are willing to work with. the mpg trip and mpg meter + improved handoff stayed in place. I know I have said this a few times, but I think V2 tuning is wrapped up and done done. Now onto V3 kidding of course.
  8. I read right over the sarcasm hahaha.. I must be dead inside....thanks dodge
  9. some older bob dylan love ( terrible quality, but youtube apparently blocks the upload of the orginal) And why not, how about an hour of Mark Knopler
  10. yep, next up is stock bar
  11. Hopefully this week. We will see how things are going. Between riding the horse daily and the weather being cold I have had no desire to swap injectors lol
  12. lol, there was a j1939 standard at that point, even SAE standard. They just didn't follow it back then. OEM was just given a lot of room to do what they want for example. the coolant is read via the stardard, offset / size / pgn etc etc. They just for whatever reason don't report anything over 204*f. same goes for ALOT of things on the bus. IE: True engine load, there kinda there on 98-00, but not really... but 01-02 engine load is reported correctly. Baro: always reports 14psi....... no matter what truck
  13. Yep, send a big o'le thank you to dodge / cummins for deciding that anything over 204*f on the j1939 network is not important. spent more time than I care to admit trying to fix this, but the data is just not there.
  14. I put your info in the article that I posted, this way the pictures and text wont be lost to time after a few years in a forum post.
  15. Me78569 posted an Cummins article in Cab Interior
This is a topic I also posted on the Cummins Forum because I have seen a lot of Dodge folks with the same issue I have. This is what I wrote: This is just a heads up for those folks like me who have the inner dash fame core mount deck assembly broken. I have been trying for several months to locate one and found some on eBay but a complete unit may run from $550.00 to $800.00 depending on the salvage yard that is selling it. Getting pieces from one that might be broke or ruined when removing it doesn't fly either. I have offered to pay a good amount for the broke pieces I need to glue back. With all the glues out there now that work excellent on plastic to plastic or alum or to carbon fiber it would be worth the while to give it a try. It's better than looking at your head light switch hanging or the A/C protruding outward from the top support piece missing and so on. But bottom line is the item is called by the title of this thread. Hope this will help some looking or have had their trucks broken into and the dash tore up in the process. I have some pictures of the complete assembly for a 1998 Dodge Trucks attached. I haven't posted pictures before but they are listed below under Attach Files. Hope you all have a Blessed and Prosperous New Year. These photos might help if you are trying to rebuild your core and need to know what the original shape of it was.
  16. so the question is now, how long is an acceptable amount of time for the santa hat to stay up there? I kinda feel it is like christmas lights haha, ~feb before I get them down
  17. use and abuse that warranty man. Like Mike said, require to see the damaged parts, and the box/plastic for the new parts.
  18. Every truck on the road with and edge or a old quadzilla was maxing out timing by 3k rpm, sometimes sooner.
  19. Nope, tread life is more important than grip for me.
  20. well I ended up placing an order for 4 Threadwright wardens 265/70/17's I also have some balancing beads on the way. I guess we will see if I can mount them myself haha. If not the mexican tire shop down the street will be getting a few bucks.
  21. I dont know whats going on either, it's nearly impossible to troubleshoot remotely. There are a ton of tunes in the custom tune thread. The tunes are ment to be a "starting point" kinda thing, but it would be pretty rare for one guys tune to work well on another guys truck. IE you wouldn't want to run Mopar1973man's eco tune on your truck, because you have stock injectors and it would be a dog.
  22. The tunes are posted int he tune section. The tune inport is there if you want to use it. I don't know why it crashes but you are not forced to use it. Please remember you can use the default tune and only the default tune in the same way as the edge. If you don't want to mess with the tuning that's fine, just leave it set to default.
