  1. welp, got the news. Not gonna make it out. A friend decided they are getting married that weekend, Wife can't get it off, and Wife's gdad is going into surgery for his back. guess I will kick rocks.
  2. Whens the last time you flashed the box under the hood? Cruise timing is no more. If you use the latest flash then you should select the vehicle profiel 1998-2002 v2 2.5 cruise timing = light load timing now. it works a good bit better.
  3. the latest android app is in the play store. The latest standard fuel base flash is here
  4. I didnt want to mix up the threads by posting unrelated information so I figured I would start a new one. This thread is for figuring out what works and what you find your truck likes. I did some more datalogging as of late and found that a more aggressive timing curve later in the rpm band, say 2500 + rpm, seems to pull harder up top. Previous I was running tunes that maxed timing at 26*. I took 2 tunes copied them and ran them back to back on the same stretch of road, same conditions. I was not using wiretap for this so I will leave those details out First Tune 29* max Second Tune 26* max The interesting thing is the tunes are the same except for the timing above 2500 rpm. If you look on the graph rpms hit that 2500 rpm mark at about line 20-21, each line is ~.3 seconds so 3 lines = 1 second. You can see where timing jumps and also where boost jumps. Now keep in mind the graphs are not exact so take them with a grain of salt, but everything appears to show that the tune with higher timing up top gives faster time to 50 mph, and a faster ramp up of boost. The higher timing tune appeared to reach 50 mph nearly 1 second faster. as always studs are a good idea, but I am fairly sure anyone can run this timing above 2500 rpm. If people are not blowing their heads off left and right with other tuners then there is no reason why this type of timing curve will hurt with the Quadzilla. Food for thought, open to other thoughts.
  5. That is odd. I would do a apps reset, I didn't know that it was possible for the ECM to report greater than 100 tps.
  6. I have a pureflow pump from the patent owner of the airdog stuff. Different companies now. I am not sure if airdog ended up using the pureflow design or not, but my pump is good. I would however recommend FASS still given the run around I got from Airdog back in the day.
  7. Bug was found in the 4k tune. Fueling beyond 38 was not being allowed. This has been resolved. Update is in the downloads section
  8. Android Some devices don't allow the link of the quad app to the .json file type of the tune. You can still import manually. 1. Open the quad app 2. go into your custom tune menu 3. click Import in the upper right. 4. next a file explorer will open. Each phone is a bit different, but you want to click the settings in the upper right, then "show internal storage" 5. You will now see this structure. 6. you can navigate to the downloads folder and click the tune you want. IOS Also, regarding loading a tune on iOS. The easiest way that we have been able to do it is to mail the tune to ourselves. When we opened it on iPhone 4 mail app and then open the attachment we see this: Click on the highlighted icon to open up the sharing button. It will load up options of programs to share to. Like this: When you see that, simply choose the Open in iQuad option and you should be good to go. Update for the iPhone implements a twirly when loading tunes or saving parameters. It will also give the option to reset to defaults if loading tune parameters fail. (i.e. when trying to load a V2 tune to a Legacy tuned Adrenaline it will fail a lot).
  9. it should be fine for timing. The OEM timing curve is VERY safe under high load situtations.
  10. If your trans can handle it tow on lvl 3. I am sure yours can.
  11. I haven't done loveland recently. I like Williams fork I just wish I could figure out how to pull afish out of there,
  12. the offical app now has the import / export function for tunes. Go ahead and update then upload your tunes here https://mopar1973man.com/forum/182-quadzilla-v2-custom-tune-repository/
  13. well I took it out camping this last weekend. Truck was able to pull it fine up i-70 above 11000' altitude hold 65 mph which was nice. I did have to gear down to 2nd locked at 45 to climb from silverthorn to eisenhower tunnel, No big deal there. Managed to get 13 mpg heading up which is A-ok by me.. should be closer to 15-16 on flat ground. stayed dry in the camper, nice to have a full bed. truck drove 10x better compared to having the camper in the bed.
  14. IF you configure things right from the get go then things are more likely to run smoother for longer with less ongoing issues. IE: you did the right thing by migrating SR to a new host, but that means they will have better uptime and storage, thus needing your help less. that's the catch 22 of the software / computer world. The better the work you do the less ongoing money you will bring in. I am talking long term income. that's not to say you should do bad work, just understand that a support agreement will keep you funded even though the sites are not having issues. If you are good at what you do the last thing you want is income based on things breaking, because things will break less.
  15. Yep just remember, the better job you do the less money you will make in the long run.... kinda backwards
  16. @01cummins4ever humm that's food for thought. It owuld be easy to misplace the vin plate.
  17. @01cummins4ever Does the state patrol have to inspect it? It's over the weight limit for not having brakes. Edit: I still have to get the statepatrol to inspect it. I am guessing that wont work because highway patrol will know its not homemade?
  18. @Mopar1973Man I am assuming you will do moparman first to 4.2 then quote out the other sites based on how long this site takes? Do you have any monthly support agreement with your clients? Sadly in the computer work you need one, because the better job you do up front means the less ongoing support you will get. You will come to a point when everyone is fat and happy and they forgot why things run so smooth.
  19. I would check the 5v source to the apps wire. I don't know if the apps draws more amps when you go higher on the pedal, but it almost sounds like the power feed is not getting good connection or something. I would prob the ecm to apps wiring with a multimeter.
  20. issue is the trailer is from alabama, guy is military. Alabama will not title a trailer. So all he can give me is a bill of sale. It was never titled in Colorado. I have complete ownership history of the trailer for 20+ years, you figure that would be enough to prove there is no lien ( how can you have a lien with no title) and to prove the trailer is not stolen. Heck I even have the certified letter from the state of alabama stating that they "do not title trailers of that age or type" I even have the copy of the montana title from the last owner.
  21. Man I hate Colorado.... Trailer came from Alabama, which does not title trailers of this age. I have a Bill of sale, and the offical letter from Alabama stating "hey won't title it" And a Vin verification done along with previous titles that show ownership changes for the last 20 years. However Colorado will not accept that, I need to go through a bond process to show the state that the trailer is not stolen or has a lien against it. 3 pages of steps to go through and about 20 different forms that have to be filled out and sent in.
  22. ya know...cause Jacobs truck is rusty
