  1. mpg will work fine, 6 and 3 cyl wont work. a Blip in the throttle is normal. the engine goes from seeing IAT temps of 60* to 23* or 14* in a second, the fueling map changes rapidly.
  2. Mike, Didn't Ed do a post of an issue like this having to do with the central timer module?
  3. Great to hear. Love the pictures. Let me know how well the sticker holds up.
  4. Well considering my taste won't go into 4 low, that's not a concern. More so I am tired of messing with it, but you're right it lasted many years. More so just the price of the thing is crazy.
  5. So I finally got around to trying to fix the 4wd engage in my truck. For the past couple years I just had to pull it out and drain the vacuum actuator to get it going again, but this time the rod that slides the coupler over is bent. I figure, no big deal, I will run over to oreilly's and get a new one. I got there only to get the shock that they wanted $90 for the cheapo chinese one. A quick look online shows a couple for 60-70, but still. So question is do I bite the bullet and just replace the actuator or do I po the posi lock method for $159 ish? I think jegs has one for 109 right now. Anyone been here and done that? Nick
  6. Email sent, I have also uploaded the manual to google drive for now. You can download it here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B46GXQ9arT2lTGtKc1V5V3ZTb1k
  7. Bring them this http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/29-tsb-technical-service-bulletins/85-tsb-18-019-01-cold-idle-engine-warming If they say it can't be done ask to talk to service manager, show him the TSB (which is from Dodge themselves) If he says not possible call him some 4 letter works and run away before they break your truck.
  8. It might be I guess, But the manual is included in the cost of the switch. I will email you a copy of it. Man I an nervous, You are the first end users to install one, I tested it all, but still won't feel better until you get it in and it works.
  9. Install and try, the switch does nothing other than define the temp the ecm see's. the ecm will either go into high idle or not. No different than starting the truck in the cold.
  10. Yes, download the install manual and look it over. all you need to do is run the 8 pin connector through the firewall into the cab, drill 1 hole where you want to install it. Then mount the switch through the hole, tighten the lock nut, and there you go. plugs on the engine side is very easy, Unplug ect connection, plug switch harness into ect sensor, plug OEM harness into the other leg of the switch harness. Same goes for the IAT.
  11. Something new in the code I guess. Strange. remind me in a few years to get to that lololol.
  12. That's what Hotmail told us.
  13. It's because some many people marked emails from us as Junk rather than opting out of email notices in their forum settings. I am gonna say generally speaking diesel guys are lazier than other car groups, when it comes to configuring settings on a computer.
  14. I will look thanks. Hotmail sucks so hard, they say it is good again, then no.
  15. I think safeway has unleaded dino fuel for the tank ( 750il) for 1.90 right now.
  16. Merged your two threads for good measure.
  17. I just exit a convo when someone says they "need 600 hp to tow their loads" I just think to myself, what are you driving a semi with a 5.9 in it??? laughable.
  18. Just to stick it it mike some I figured I would post up what I paid for diesel this morning.
  19. What was the previous email?
  20. Yep, Used to use the quad high idle until I got the switch. 3 cyl works 5x better than the typical high idle.
  21. this it? http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/25-fuel-system/31-airdog-filter-numbers
  22. Wow I cannot imagine going through that. I have worked with numerous people with Ms when I was working with a therapeutic riding center. It was very tough to see.
  23. can you data log with the insight? I would LOVE ( that isn't even a strong enough word) to see that. any more insight would be VERY helpful.
