  1. Mike Posted a new thread in the Website section, but I also wanted to post up here. Any of you guys that have bought/ installed the switch can you please do a review HERE https://mopar1973man.com/store/product/47-mopar1973man-cummins-high-idle-switch/ click the "product review" tab and put in your thoughts. Also if you wouldn't mind throw some pictures up on CumminsForum so guys over there can see the new stuff. If any of us ( moparstaff) we may be the big old ban stick lol.
  2. Unless the bat was unplugged for a long time the apps doesn't need to be reaet. You can do it for go measure but you will need to unplug the bat again.
  3. I have often wondered that also. I think they cared more about emissions and cold starting than mpg losses in the winter.
  4. The grids won't work in mpg mode. That's why your truck has starting issues in mpg mode. If it's cold out keep it in the off position to start. Think of it like disabling the choke on an old engine and trying to start the car when cold.
  5. In regards to getting the engine to run or getting all the gauges and so forth to work??? Some specific questions might help us get you started.
  6. Thanks mike one step ahead of me as typical.
  7. Check for boost leaks. also scan for codes with a code scanner.
  8. Maybe in a few months here. I would like to spend some more time tuning the turbo, but I so rarely get on the heavy pedal that I test / tune stuff rarely anymore.
  9. I can run by tank down to less than 2 gallons without any pressure issues using my DrawStraw.
  10. I would love to see a dyno. The butt dyno is hard to tune on.
  11. Wow that's nuts. Makes mine worth more I suppose lol
  12. Alright sleezy, While I am not going to say that there is no way to fit the switch in the overhead console like I had my last high idle switch ( between the lights) I will say you would have to do ALOT of cutting to make it fit. The issue isn't the roof of the truck, but the molding of the console. also the length of the switch would prove difficult as you would need to make some room for the harness to plug in. I would say is isn't a great place to install this switch.
  13. nothing bad. The mpg mode does nothing that that the ecm wont see on a hot day. If the truck doesn't blow on a hot day with the edge, then the truck won't blow with the mpg mode enabled. The edge doesn't just blankly advance. It advances compared to the currently requested timing. So if timing is -7 and the edge wants 2 advance the timing would be -5 ( or -9) I don't know how the timing workings when talking advance vs retard. but you get the point.
  14. I haven't had a chance to check, I will verify tonight. Longer cables are in the making for the next run, but that may be a month or two away, depending on the time frame it takes to make them.
  15. did you pull the plug wiring out of the grill and look for any shorts or rubbing through the shielding?
  16. Nuts, So I am assuming the rancher was PO'd that they were going to shoot the bull? Something doesn't seem like it is lining up.
  17. Good catch csm. I was thinking intake heater. Block heater is completely in related so don't worry about it.
  18. MPG mode. The mode's and what they do should be outlined in the install document.
  19. Well more to report. I put it all back together not expecting anything, but I now have 4wd again. I guess I am good to forget about this until the next time I need 4wd and can't engage it hahaha. I think I will just keep it stock and replace the overpriced vacuum actuator.
  20. I need to do this flush, I doubt my coolant is bad as I seem to have replace the "lifetime" water pump about once a year. However I badly need to clean my radiator.
  21. Glad to see you made it to denver :shifty:
