- High idle kit problems
If the scangauge is reading 190 then that is what the ecm is seeing so I wouldn't think you will have any "running issues" It's almost like the gauge cluster is ignoring the temp from the ecm until a time period passes or the ecm isn't sending the temp? Is the gauge actually reading 140ish or is it just on bottom as if it isn't getting a signal?- High idle kit problems
guessing he means the coolant sensor on the dash is reading 140*f- What company's VP44
In my mind It's pointless to throw another vp44 on it when your's isn't showing signs of dying. VP44's will be for sale for the next 20 years without a doubt. My OEM vp44 lasted until 210,000 miles, if your's is feed well and taken care of I don't see any reason to believe that your's won't also make it that long. There is risk in getting a rebuilt vp44 regardless of who from. Selling your's to him for core price really shafts you as you are then forced to pay the additional core price for the new pump. I understand being a good friend ETC, buf you don't wnat to hurt your well being in the process.- What company's VP44
CPP pump from industrial injection. No point in using a blue chip pump, The good rebuilders all use new computers anyways.- High Idle Kits
Good to hear Mike, As for the issue unplug the switch and see if the issue comes back.- Airdog quality
They were always very friendly to me on the phone, always sent me a new pump without a question, but I just could not keep replacing lift pumps ever 4 months. You can be as nice as Mother Teresa herself, but if you don't put out a good product then there is no reason to use them. After being what I have been through I would NEVER tell someone to run their product.- Ball Joint Help
I have heard a lot of "things" about the problem solver series. Some say the ball joint is phyically larger so as it fights tight in old worn out spindles/ holders. I have heard they are cheaper to solve the money problem. Who knows what is true or not.- V10 to 24v 47re swap?
I am pretty sure the VB is also setup differently between the v10 vs 24v. However if you are only using it as a core it will work fine.- Ball Joint Help
Dana Spicer. I have had TERRIBLE luck with Moog as of late. I won't buy anything of theirs anymore.- Quadzilla Adrenaline Hardware Thread Fixes, Tips, Tricks
Sorry I don't have any time to deal with this anymore. My plate is way overflowing, dog issues, horse, home renovation. I would guess your box is bad if all 3 pods won't change the power levels Beyoned that I can't say.- Quadzilla Adrenaline Hardware Thread Fixes, Tips, Tricks
what screen? pv1 ( firmwarm is toast) pv2( no idea) pod ( wires) Everything I know is in the first and 2nd posts under screen.- Differences in VP pumps
a lot of them use common rebuilders so ensure you find out who actually built the pump.- Differences in VP pumps
I beleive Jamie commented on the Cummins Forum that he also has new computers on all of this pumps. Worth asking though, my memory is hazy.- Differences in VP pumps
Agree Jamie at CPP is a good guy. DAP has gone WAY WAY downhill. I won't be buying anything more from him.- VP44 help
yea times have changed. I find myself looking at CPP way way before DAP.- Stock transmission with 125 sticks
I would check for boost leaks. 1300 *f at 18psi and stock fuel doesn't add up. I am guessing you have a boost leak causing a lacking in power, high egts, and overheating issues. On stock Fuel a hy35 will be fine. The Hy35 starts to get out of it's map at 32ish psi so you have more than enough air with a superchips tuner set to tow. You shouldn't have egt issues. your overheating issue won't go away with more fuel. Your issues are likely a boost leak. You could test this by pulling off the tuner, and doing the same test. If you see more than 1250*f pulling a load on a stock truck you have something wrong. Dodge/Cummins wouldn't tune a truck that runs above the 1250*f in stock form. I have never seen over 1100*f with the tuner off, and I am at 7000*f in the Rockies. Beyond that you could gain some power / cool things off ( once current issues are fixed) with a J hook to hold the wastegate closed beyond 22psi. Also verify that your superchips does boost fooling, if it doesn't ditch the superchips and get another small tuner that does boost fooling.\ Regardless of all of this you need to put money into your tranny. The OEM setup will not hold much, if any, power over stock. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/revmax-converters/452148-47re-stock-transmission-upgrade-list-sticky.html- Stock transmission with 125 sticks
Pre turbo is what is normally used. Cummins 1250*f is preturbo also. Have you done any boost leak tests? what boost levels are you seeing? where are you located at? What grade hill's do you have issues with? Towing about 10k or so here in the rockies with my tuner set to level 2 ( guessing a little more agressive than superchip in tow mode) I have a hard time seeing EGTS above 1100*f.- Stock transmission with 125 sticks
If you use those sticks and a lockup switch you will smoke the OEM converter. VB and TC are needed. Cummins states the max temp for EGT is 1250* prlonged. something seems off here. how about a little more insight into your setup? What tuner: What rearend gears? What size tires? what kind of hils are we talking about? Location?- Hello from Colorado
Might fille us in on your other mods before jumping on a smarty. They are "cool" but the usefulness of them depends on what you already have on the truck. PM Tfaoro and see if he can meet you to do the high idle.- Hot unlock code for the Attitude

Tfaoro is in your area too, he did my high idle. Good guy. I am sure stodg73 is a good guy too, but I haven't ran into him yet.- Hello from Colorado
Living just south of you as Moparman said, not sure how good my Cummins skills are, but somehow mines still running. I have friends up in aurora so I am up in that area pretty often.- Airdog quality
Why did you replace them if they didn't fail? seems to me that you where unsatisfied with the pump? Would you recommend the raptor to a friend?- Airdog quality
they may have fixed stuff, who knows, they have yet to come and give us any indication that they fixed anything. We have asked for a range of serial numbers that are effected by the bad design. They won't give us anything. They have completely dissapeared and offer no support, just look at their vendor page on Cumminsforum. Personally I wouldn't ever run their product again due to their complete lacking of accountablity. They really couldn't care less about their customers. At the VERY least FASS is around helping people. - High idle kit problems
