  1. Havent used it yet but its deep and gotta be better than the one on the floor. I will give it a test drive today and let you know.
  2. They added the 3rd injection even that resulted in more smoke and less mpg. Power went to 325/600 and they tend to burn pistons worse than the early common rails.
  3. Got it in, it fits good but I have found a flaw, im used to resting my leg over there where it sets and now my leg hits it. Oh well, I can give up a little comfort to have usuable cupholder. I also had a new shift ball in my cart but erased it before I checked out, guess I didnt erase it quick enough.
  4. The small one closest to the glove box is good but the other one is junk, some of the fingers are broken off and it doesnt hold anything. The cupholders in my 2003 6 speed were on the floor also but alot better than these. Hopefully my new cupholders will be in today.
  5. Looks like a clean truck and that is a plug for an egt probe. Both 5 and 6 speed with have dana 80 and DHD t-case. Is it 5 or 6 speed? Looks like 6 but cant tell. Whats the asking price?
  6. That skid plate is a pain, this works everytime!
  7. Im gonna learn to drive it, I dont imagine 12v's had the governor to help from a stop so I dont need one either. Here is what it used to look like I sure do miss those old cup holders but I ordered the center console mounted cup holders from Geno's and they should be here this week.
  8. Sounds like your lift pump is dead. Might fill your filter housing to the tip top with fuel via a jug and get it to prime. I hate trying to blead my fuel system even with my fass.
  9. Here are the rest of the pics. Wish I could have gotten more but was in a hurry to beat the hurricane that never hit. Instead of fighting the skid plate I just gave it a little pinch in the press, have done this to another truck I put a clutch in and it worked like a charm. These are all horrible pictures because my phone is outdated but you get the jist of it. I snapped a pic right after we got the trans stabbed and bolted up and then left it on ase for the night. Got it loaded on a buddies trailer and brought it home where I cut the hole in the floor and put in pedals and driveshafts. My jigsaw blade hit the trans when I tried cutting so I used a dremmel and some tin snips. The hole turned out great but I forgot to get a pic. I measured the underside of the lower boot so it fit perfect, there is no more wind or engine noise than before with the auto trans. Got my cupholder painted and fit in like I wanted it then got the floor back together. Took the seats out and it made everything so much easier. Got the pedals put in after a little fight and had to tape some pennies into the brake light switch to keep the lights from coming on. The pennies didnt like their new home so I took the brake light switch off and gave the mount a little bend so it works perfect now. I also pulle the switch from the donor truck out asd it looks to be a little longer so I might eventually put it in. I got the black cover that goes in place of the PRND21 and put it and the column cover in place so it looks factory. I still need to get some color match paint for the console and map pocket but the black doesnt look to bad. If you dont like your auto and can get a donor truck like I did, I highly recommend this. I feel like I have a new truck and have been burning diesel just to burn it.
  10. Does the diesel have the pump in the tank or on the block? Dont put that pump in the tank if the diesel pump is still in the block. I have a stocker you can have to get you going.
  11. Thanks Mike, wish I would have seen theis a week ago.
  12. Do you put in actual miles traveled at each fillup? I had to do this with the ultra-gauge, hence the reason I stopped using it that way too. Its nice to keep up with actual miles traveled and when I need to change oil, rotate tires and stuff though.
  13. I agree, find yourself a used edge ez, edge comp or quadzilla xzt+ and you will be happy ( for a few weeks). Then the bug will bite you and you will spend every spare cent on the truck. I have heard a power puck is good too but never had one.

Welcome to the Fam:thumbup2: I hate handing my keys to anybody especially some minimum wage know it all with dirty hands and greasy boots so I learned to do all the work myself.
  15. I just bought a master/slave cylinder unit for mine for just over $100. I didnt think you could get them seperate. Mine is new and it does the same thing as yours. have to put it in 2nd just before it stops rolling or its a pain to get in.
  16. Did you put a jumper in place of the trans fuse under the hood?
  17. I tried the pcm from the donor and it started the truck but it keeps dieing so I guess I will learn to drive it.
  18. I have a 3/4" heater hose with no problems. I pop the hood weekly so if there is ever a problem I will see it before its to late.
  19. I may go get the other pcm tomorrow. I talked to a buddy and he said to have the dealer flash my truck with that of a vin from a 98 5speed truck. he said that worked on one of his camaro's he swapped trans in. I have been grabbing 2nd and then 3rd before R and it does good. I noticed when the trans is cold it does good but when I get into traffic its hard to shift to 2nd unless I shift it while its rolling and just set and hold the clutch.
  20. Had this thing going for a day now with some reports. Its a bear to get into 2nd in traffic, no grinds just really hard. It does grind 90% of the time going to reverse. Is there any adjustment to the slave cylinder rod or anything? Its also jerky starting off in 2nd and I nearly killed it more than once in traffic. My 03 6speed and my grandpas 01 6speed would pull themselves without bogging down from a stop. Should i swap the pcm from the donor truck or is there a flash I can get done at the dealer? Called the dealer and they have never heard of a flash for it.
  21. I also run the 150 hpfp and its been a great pump for 5 or 6 years.
  22. I know of 2 people personally that are completely satisfied and several other here and cf. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/6176-DTT-Assassin-Mechanical-Fuel-Pump

  24. Here is a cheap comp http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-2nd-gen-all-products/526207-edge-comp-box-edge-juice-w-attitude-edge-juice-w-attitude-cts.html
  25. Thanks, I hadnt had time to look at it yet but I figured it was nothing I needed.
