  1. Yes, they will vibrate bad without them and could possibly mess your doors up. I just saw someone on CF with a set for sale yesterday.
  2. I bumped up to work/stock class this time instead of fan particapation because there was nobody else pulling in fp when I weighed up. Its usually about $20 but its the best $20 you will ever spend. Its a rush when your building boost on the start and then stomp the throttle. I dont have anything special done to my truck but could use some traction bars eventually. The dirt was so soft at this pull where usually its hard packed so no one seemed to pull as far. The winner in my class pulled 188' and I got 103, not great but not last place either. Its all about fun for me anyway, if your in it to make money im pretty sure your gonna go broke.
  3. Im not sure, but our canisters are different too. I have the metal can that the filter goes in from the bottom.
  4. Eric has all the fittings you need but why only go 3/8 from the filter if you have 1/2 from the airdog? http://www.vulcanperformance.com/Fittings-Adapters-Fuel-Line-Harnesses-s/181.htm Here is the kit that I used http://www.vulcanperformance.com/Universal-Big-Line-Filter-to-Injection-Pump-Kit-w-p/ffip59.htm
  5. Are there any codes present? These are common symptoms of a bad apps or dieing vp44. Look here for cheaper map and all most other sensors. http://www.genosgarage.com/searchprods.asp
  6. Here was lastnights pull, it was a big turnout with close to 50 trucks
  7. Alternator has a fresh rebuild early this year and it still does it with the alternator fuse out. Someone said to zip tie the alternator ground wire up to the intake but mine isnt hooked up anyway.
  8. Keep your truck, to many problems out of a 6.7. Our pumps might be junk but try buying a set of common rail injectors to 2 of our pumps.
  9. Well its been dry here and its acting up all the time now. I unhooked the terminals and resset the apps and on the first ride it acted nutty. I dont know what else to do. Maybe have my batteries checked but I just got them last year?
  10. By the title, I thought this was gonna be a different kinda thread.
  11. You dont have front abs but should have rear abs. When I had the same problem it was my rear wheel speed sensor.
  12. Sounds like a small vacuum leak.
  13. Oh, I read wrong, thought you went from dap injectors to new rv275's. Hmm... never heard anyone loose mpg before. Hows it runnin?
  14. Welcome to the fam, what kinda mpg are you getting on average? I use 1oz of 2stroke per gallon of fuel so no (simple) math needed.
  15. No need to untap the comp, level 1 and 2 are just like no tap. I get best mileage on 2x5 though. There has to be something wrong with the truck. What size were the DAP injectors? Boost leaks, cel on?
  16. Check this out, never heard of this. Scroll down to almost the bottom of the page. http://hoeslidiesel.com/store/page2.html Connector,VP44 Injection Pump Repair connector for the VP44 injection pump. Fault code P1689(no communication between VP44 and ECM) is a common problem when this harness goes bad. Pins in this connector can wear out and not seat properly to VP44 pins. Why replace the entire $1,000.00 engine harness when you can replace the connector?
  17. Does it have normal power? Maybe apps, pump or map sensor. Codes should tell all.
  18. I run one before my fass and my grandpa runs one before his raptor. Wix makes a diesel specific filter but I cant find the number. I put one on my grandpas for 1/2 lines and mines has 3/8 lines but I will crawl under it tomorrow and see if I can see the numbers.
  19. I have read from member on the CF that the noise filter did nothing for them so I never got one but cajflynn said it worked for him and he has logged more miles than most of us put together.
  20. I have cleaned or replaced all grounds that I have found on the truck and it still does it at times.
  21. Its under the black cover behind the driver side battery. It will be at the end of the 2 wires (+/-) coming into the box, you will have to remove two screws and pull out the fuse.
  22. My trans temp is in one of the test ports too, get a few collers and you should be good to go.
  23. Will have to get him in a pic of the 98, sadly we had to sell the 03 last year.
  24. No, cleared it back then and havent seen it since. Truck runs great!
  25. I had an 0216 pop up on me a year or so ago just out of the blue too. I erased it and havent even thought about it till now. Its been nearly 10k miles since then too.
