  1. Maybe you can get a job proof reading adverts. I see a lot strange things like that these days.
  2. Here of late we have seen a few folks that got 250k 400kout of there oe pumps. Then we have many with short life spans on the oe pump. Mine only went 75k and @Mopar1973Mans only went 50k. Most of these on the old #2 diesel they were designed for. Longevity is bit all over the place.
  3. Thats why I had to change mine. Apparently they were all leaking.
  4. I have in the past done just as you but it is pretty easy just to remove some of the blue blocks and the lines will move out of the way to pull the cross over tubes. You dont even have to pull them out far for the swap I did today. Dont worry you will not tear the heater hose. Mine are still oe and survived todays adventure. If it was not for #6 I could do it in 2 hours, but alas it took 3. If you keep the truck long, you will do this again and maybe again. @Mopar1973Man and @trreed are well versed in this adventure.
  5. Maybe we need to change @JAG1 s name to Blessed Bolt Dropper. This does sound like more fun than by myself in the drive way plus I have beer in the cooler too.
  6. Getting a little since I swapped some O rings last week. Still got issues and just going to swap in my old RVs for now and hope they work until I pull the head. So maybe I will do it in less the 2.5 hours. Ahh, Grasshoppah no want to stress himself today.
  7. Takes me longer than Mike. Going swap out my injectors today, I am figuring about 2.5 hours including breaks and interruptions.
  8. Some days you leave yourself wide open.
  9. Someones creation I take it?
  10. I really dont know how much travel there should be. But I suspect a liitle sagging has been going on over 17.5 years I have been driving it.
  11. Highjackanosis. Most folks dont know they have it.
  12. I forget to do it more often than I rember to. Never noticed any difference
  13. The code and symptoms would indicate that. Did you clear the code and it came back? You could also have fuel gelling issues.
  14. Mine is only 2.5" on the front. It was little hard to measure.
  15. Made it back from moon too, using the moon at its perigee. We have several folks of late with high mileage oe VPs. Mine only lasted 75k on the stock truck as several others here. Seems hit miss on the longevity of the oe pumps.
  16. 244k on mine right now. Hoping for a lot more.
  17. You cant beat that for the most part. My youngest son is 43 and still manage to drag him in sometimes. We usually have pretty good time. Last time he said he did not do any thing. But when your laying under the truck and need tools not having to get up and get them is a blessing. So here is to the sons and other helpers.
  18. That is weak and who knows what pressure if any you had at VP failure. The VP will pull fuel if the lift pump fails until it grinds itself a apart. I would recommend fixing that so you can see if the lift pump is still is working. Another good thing to do is run some 2 stroke oil in your fuel, about 1 oz per gallon, TCW3 ashless. I as many others run the Wal Mart super tech. It is very good for the VP as is bio diesel.
  19. I tried but it does not work for me.
  20. All good to hear my friend. I am happy for you. I am 6'4" at 215#. We used to have to get a yearly visit to be weighed, blood pressure checked and some other stuff to help detirmine or health insurance rates. I always got dinged because they considered my weight to be borderline obese. Glad that crap stopped 3 years ago. One thing I am not is any where near obese. It spreads out well on my frame.
  21. You are trying to msintain 14psi as the lowest pressure with foot stuck in it. Some occasional dips under that does not seem to hurt many folks that are running close to a stock truck. Which pump will give you that on stock fuel lines is bit of mystery. A fuel pressure gauge will be your best freind to keep an eye on it. I would put one in first and see where stand with the pump that you have. It might already meet the standard. But without one you will never know whats happening with the one you have.
  22. What kind of housings do you have. OE with the fluted lenses or clear lense? My wifes 06 Dakota had clear lenses and hlogen bubs. The produced a lot of light and had cut off line like the projector lights I have seen photos of here. If I could have that I would be more than happy.
  23. Lucyyyyy, Ima gonna splode!!!!!
  24. Well they need to work on it. I am seeing more and more vehicles with bright *** headlights on dim.
