  1. I cast my vote for NOT cutting a big hole in your fuel tank. My pick up is still in the fuel basket and will suck the dry. Any pick up install properly from the top will work. No need for a sump.
  2. Lucky maybe, I paid 50 bucks each for the 3 I bought. Now if they last another 465k I will never know Happy I have them though.
  3. You mean it doesn't glow in the dark?
  4. I have 3 old/new stock u joints, non geasable for the drive shaft and would pay a premium for the same on any front end or drive line part if I could find them. This from the man who is still riding on all MOOG parts on the steering after 200k. Bought it all just pre federal mogul.
  5. It is not just the younger generation. My plumber on this job packed his do do and closed the doors half way thru my job. Had to hire a new man to finish it. Then on top of that we have meeting with all the big wigs and it was all decided that Dave can get 3 to 4 weeks worth of work done in 2. I am close to doing that. But the price is not worth it for me. This was from mature minds and CFA giving me pretty much a blank check to do it with. Now to see if I get any of it. Lets just say I have my doubts. No more comment.
  6. I will see what he has for dodge and picture of it.
  7. I possibly can once I get into it better. Did not have much time with it Sunday.
  8. Wow. I dontthink I could have screwed it up up that even 2 cases of beer in the cooler.
  9. I dont know how free they would be since he would have to pack them and ship them. Just guessing 20 bucks for a pair plus shipping. Unless you happened to be diving by then maybe next to free if not free. Only thing is there is definitely no 2nd gen stuff in there, I already looked.
  10. This is mine for a mechanical pump. It has been like this for 8 years. I still use my factory filter. I cannot see any harm in the gauge tap being at the pump with no filters after the tap for the gauge. This is between the factory filter and VP.
  11. Well things are looking up. I am the proud posessor of this. I wish I could say owner but posessor will have to do. @Haggar is the owner and graciously allowed me to borrow it. In adition his wife Mary who happened to be in Lexington SC this past Saturday was good enough to bring it to me. So to the 2 them many thanks for the loan and delivery. For Erik, I hope I can rember how to get to Shelby to return it. I got to play some on Sunday and read the codes. It seems I have 2 instead of one. The first is the 237 for the MAP and low voltage. The second is 1488 for low voltage on the 5v supply, that one my SG II did not show. Like I say not much time today to mess with it but did get to look into one more thing. My air bag light has been on for a while, ever since installing a new clock spring. I forget the code number buut it said "Drivers side squib short circuit". Who knows about air bags? And again to Erik, many thanks.
  12. Always have your sensor or tap for a mechanical gauge after your last filter also
  13. What problem are you with the pump?
  14. You purchased a new ECM a year ago or just new programing for an old one?
  15. The WTS light is controlled by the ECM. I am surprised the truck starts at all.
  16. On the small pre pump filter?
  17. You hit that pretty good. I have been married once for 46 years this September. We have had alot of fun along the way but it aint always been easy and it takes alot of work. It has gotten alot easier for me overthe years to see both sides when standing there wondering what the hell was she thinking. Its then I have to ask myself what hell were you thinking. Easy to loose track of that one. As fars as advice on women. What hell were was anyone thinking when they asked me. I will let Jimmy Stewart do my talkingNewlywed Advice from Shenandoah Movie - YouTube
  18. That it does. Still have my brothers and sisters. Hope to for a while yet. Much appreciated. The niece tickled over the chicken here is priceless. Just shows how far family goes. Blood or other wise.
  19. My niece gave that to me about 6 months ago when my 2 brothets and sisters got together for the first time since our mother died about 10 years ago. It was a great reunion and we got to honor our 2 great parents. It was much overdue. She was tickled poopless to know the chicken had immortal status here. That puts a smile on my face any day. A hearty to all our families!!! Past and present. Love them all while you can.
  20. Here is my 02. I aint worried after 17 years and 460k. But who knows.
  21. I am surpassing my expectations from when I was smarter than the world. That is the sucky part of life, it ends. Hope I have a big smie on my face when that day comes. I am surpassing my expectations from when I was smarter than the world. That is the sucky part of life, it ends. Hope I have a big smie on my face when that day comes. It might look like this. A bit stunned but happy.
  22. Let us not for get who or what we are dealing with. Signed, The chicken man
  23. The switch I envision would be to just cut power to the grids, like I have the wire disconnected from the battery. Then just turn them on when its cold outside and let the ECM control them. Then when I feel I don't need them any more just turn them off. Down here I dont really need them but for first startup, unless it is u usually cold.
  24. That was the weird numbers I was seeing. Key on engine running 12.5v. Key on engine off 18.5v. Iwill try and find some time to read them again using the sensor ground. I do not have one of those blue tooth code readers. Just a SG II. I know the turbo puts out quite a bit of air while idling, but whether it is at vacuum i dont know.
