  1. I see them for my 02 on craigs list here and there. Seen them on ebay also. Gave up on my oe rims after the 5th one cracked.
  2. Same here no exterior lights blink, never have.
  3. Mine was 2 of 1 and 2 of the other. I think that is standard for the HX anyway.
  4. Welcome to the site. Are you the original owner?
  5. Rules out another owner doing it. The reason i asked year is my 02 came with adifferent MAP sensor that is not available any more so I have a short harness adapter so I can plug into the available sensor. It coverts to the connector shown in your pic. I would think some were probably done the same way. Hence the splice maybe. Still shoddy work. I have done some butt connectors but used the heat shrink type with grease in them.
  6. This is good to hear, the source and that truck is performing the way it should.
  7. Was the truck a one owner and what year is it?
  8. Gypsum is main ingredient of drywall. We have used for fire protection on fire walls all my life and you will find it in safes used for the same purpose. Back early 2000's a lot of drywal boards that were imported from China contained something that emitted sulfide gasses and was bad for people and any metals it came in contact with, such as wiring, plumbing pipes and such. A lot of folks had to gut their new houses because of it. I know it got banned for import after it came to light. Google it, there is alot of info about it.
  9. That allows air into the tank as the fuel is pulled from it. You need a vent of some sort or the tank will start to collapse and starve your fuel system.
  10. with the dolleys you did not have to keep moving pins or golf balls to move it. Strap them on and run is all we had to do. Just my 2 cents worth.
  11. I just helped my brother move a gun to his house. Empty it weighed maybe 175 pounds. He had a pair of safe dollies. Once they were on the safe you could roll it anywhere. We rolled across the carpet to get it out of where it was with very little effort. Getting it on and off his half ton Chevy was easy even with his bad knee. After that experience I think I would bolt mine down. I knowmthermis big difference between 175 and 500 pounds, but the ease he and I did this surprised me. Also my brother had a bad knee at the time. He had knee replacement surgery 6 weeks later. Not from them safe moving, the surgery was already scheduled.
  12. I dont know the exact order everything cycles, but you should see the WTS at key on and here the lift bump on for a second or so. The WTS is dependent upon ambient air temps for how long it stays on. I never had this issue when mine went. Mine just committed self to the insane asylum. Still cranked with no problem but you could not drive it. It started fine with bad they sent me too. Maybe someone else knows the proper sequence, I am sure there is one.
  13. You are definitely correct. Almost all the big box stores list them as ECM's while they are actually PCM's.
  14. I dropped my tank. Not hard to do either except for them30 gallons in it.Mine had about 3 the first time and 5 or 6 the second time. The tank will slide out with then wheels on the ground on a 4X4.
  15. As a man that keeps too any parts, if they are bummed up, out of round and general dont work I dont keep them. I do keep OE mounting hardware and such because they can be expensive to replace. The call is yours. I kept my OE map sensor only to break it when experimenting with changing it. Still had to buy one but i tried.
  16. That sounds like water hammer from the VP. What kind of gauge do you have, mechanical or electrical? Mine is mechanical and connected between the fuel filter canister and the VP. I have a needle valve installed with it barely cracked open to dampen the pulses. A snubber works also, goint to install one one these days myself.
  17. There are a very few places around here that sell non ethanol gas and I never thought trying it since they are not close at hand. Just might have to give that shot and see what happens.
  18. Here is a picture of mine separated. Never took one of it before I reinstalled it.
  19. Cant hurt on worn stuff. It cant all be snake oil. I used a Berryman fuel additive on my John Deere lawn tractor that helped it. Not a cure all but it worked.
  20. I did see that and anything below 14 does not give max cooling to the VP. The VP and it's computer depend on it. I cant and will not say that has killed your VP at all. But always try to maintain 14 psi to the VP at minimum. I have to assume that you still using the OE fuel lines. My AD sees about 20 psi at idle and 16 at WOT. I do have 1/2" fuel lines which allows less fuel pressure drop.
  21. That filter looks pristine. As clean as new.
  22. Sorry I read that as IP not LP. Injection vs lift.
  23. With no more evidence of a bad VP I would not condemn it. It does sound like you need to upgrade your lift pump especially if you are running the EJWA on high settings.
