Could not do 4. I just need to replace the spare but had 2 tires and decided to do 2. They are the same as what came on the 5th wheel though so they match.

Mine came with 2 of the Fantastic fans. One in the toilet stall with manual on/ off and the other in the living room, That one is on a t stat and a rain sensor. Just set it and the fan does the rest. like to mini attic fans. They are great in the spring and fall when you dont want to use the AC.

New feet for the 5th wheel. Someone stole my spare a while back and I made a couple of trips with out one. So now I will have 2. It seems when I loose one tire that others are not far behind. I also have 2 new Coopers for shoes to put on them from my last debacle.

new clutch, fuel mileage with the Comp, and a miss
The thing that is weird with the AD lines is half the ends are quick disconnect that you pinch and pull apart. The other ends you need a release tool. Always thought that was strange. Riddle me this why does it not do it with the comp off? I am assuming the demand placed on the suction side does not change since the lift pump should be a constant. Is it the demands of the added timing and fuel from the comp that makes the air a bigger factor and shows up as a miss?

Did they do that for you when you got your hood done?

new clutch, fuel mileage with the Comp, and a miss
Like as in between the tank and the lift pump, suction side of things? After all I do have those AD quick disconnects on the fuel lines. I did have an instance of slow start the other day. Parked at work, nose up for a couple hours and had to hold the key for 2 or 3 seconds for it to start. Parked there again today and no issue. Not thinking that is related though. If the air is still tomorrow I might be able to look around a little. We have 30* for a high tomorrow and Sunday. I am going to have to go to Idaho to find some warm weather.

It must have come on quick for me to hear your name and anti freeze in the water lines. I used it one winter and still smell it when I turn the hot water on. Goes away pretty quick though, but it was 4 or 5 years ago.

new clutch, fuel mileage with the Comp, and a miss
The clutch I got my SB 1947 OFE installed the last part on November. It was nice to now have a non slipping clutch again. I am impressed with the SB. In first it engages smoothly, it is a little grabby launching in 2nd but nothing to worry about. It holds like the Hulk and I am very happy with it. i made one run of about 475 miles with the 5th wheel in tow and the comp on 2X3 and it handled it just fine. This was on a good mix of flat and hill country. No long grades to speak of but a good many short 6% or so grades. The clutch held great no matter what I threw at it. When I got home maneuvering the 5th wheel into my driveway went smooth. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth it was in 1st and reverse. It is mostly flat but a 90* turn to back it in and takes a good bit clutch work to get it in. Fuel mileage and the comp I had to move the 5th wheel a few months before the clutch install. Since I new the old clutch was almost done I made the trip in 5th gear. The trip was 440 miles of mostly interstate like described above and I ran 65 mph as much as possible. I netted 10.1 mpg on the trip. That was with the comp installed but turned off which allowed me to build over 20 psi of boost without the ECM defueling the engine. When I made the return trip after the clutch install I still ran 65 mph but used 6th gear as much as possible. I have always towed in 6th as long as it pulls good with about half throttle. I made the trip with the comp on 2X3 and netted 11.3 mpg. That is best I have ever gotten traveling at 65 mph. Driving around empty has been a lot fun to. The comp puts a lot of power to the ground and it was nice feeling like young man again. I am thoroughly impressed with it especially after driving with no chip for the past 2.5 or so years. The miss Now the rub. About 3 weeks ago I noticed i was picking up an intermittent miss under medium to heavy throttle. It is not like one cylinder cuts out it is intermittent and not constant. The truck idles fine with no miss and does not miss if I roll into the throttle and let the rpm build. it misses when I just stick my foot in it and every once in a while it does not miss at all. It also does not miss with the comp turned off no matter how hard I get on it. Not sure what to make of it, weak injector, fuel leak, weak cylinder, something with the comp maybe. The weather has been either too wet or cold to check much out. Hope this turns out to be simple.

IB, I believe you are the king of emoticons. You seem to have one for all occasions.

Mine has the day/night shades the slid up and down on cords. I never had to buy any of the clips to know where to get them. My first 5th wheel had them but I never broke one.

Stealerships
I bought my truck new in 01 after my other 2500 with a V10 dropped a valve and took out a piston. Had to tow my trade in on wrecker to the dealer. Not a fun way to buy a truck. As bad as that stung, $4300 for vp is harsh.

Teardown and Rebuild
Thats pretty cool. I remember watching mine creep on 300k and when it got there I had no camera.

New truck!!
IIRC, one trip to the liquor store for the son and 1 trip to the supply house for foam to replace the gaskets with.

New truck!!
Pulling the dash is not a as difficult a job as you might think. It is a little time consuming but not difficult. You can do it by yourself. I did mine solo. Replaced the heater core and evaporator. My dash was cracked pretty bad so did that too. You only have to take one side loose. Mike has a good article on doing this. I used it to do mine with. I did have some help installing the dash. The screws on the drivers would have been almost impossible with out my skinny son. I/We did all this in 2 1/2 days. That includes beer breaks and bull crappin. Also a couple trips to the supply house.

New truck!!
The outside of the core tends to plugged too since there is no filter on the outside air. Mine was not bad but Mike has some photos of ones just covered in stuff. Only fix for that is to pull the dash. Not a difficult job but a little time consuming.

I hear ya. Only certain days are good for redneck cooling. Nobody shoots at us on the job site. Are you sure she did not plan that one? I could see my wife throwing them in the washing machine if she wanted new one. Oh honey, I'm sorrry, I thought they would take that beating.

Low humidity is a good thing in the higher temps. Low humidity and summer dont usually go together in the southeast. I can bundle up for the winter if need be but it just slows everything down. Makes concrete masonry, stucco work a real pain. To many heaters to keep fed. Redneck cooling in the summer, go stand or sit in the port a john for 10 minutes or so. When you walk out it feels like spring time for a little while.

Mine sits lonely in the driveway awaiting my attention. But i am still getting my per diem for it. Staying at the daughters house with the grand daughters and paying rent. But alas I am in her house under her rules. But on the bright side I am still Daddy and I dont get beat up by the rules for the most part anyway.

New truck!!
Be sure and check the 2nd gen instructions. IIRC you dont have to take the dash apart you just have to pull the little actuator motor from under the dash. I did mine with the hvac box removed.

99 24 valve volotage regulator
On my 02 the voltage is regulated thru the PCM and not the ECM. Are the 99's different?
