  1. I like it too, even if it is a short bed.
  2. As long as you are testing the pressure after the last filter what difference does it make as to where? Myself I would not want to have to disconnect the gauge just to screw in a test port.
  3. The saltine cracker look. I have had more of that this year than the past 5 years all together.
  4. I think my truck just likes me. But it does show its displeasure with electrical gremlins to remind me who's in charge.
  5. My brother has a couple stories on auto rotation from his medic days in a lovely place called Vietnam. They will fly but as you mention not for long. My brother would agree with the above statement. But there craziness was much appreciated by the men on the ground.
  6. I kept the oe fuel filter and installed a big line kit from Vulcan between the two. I got a tapped 90 for the connection to the VP and installed a port, from Vulcan also, in the 90. But you could just install a tapped tee in the fuel line and accomplish the same thing. I have one in my line for the FP gauge.
  7. After loosing my Banks tuner I lost the EGT and Boost since all their info passed thru the tuner. So i had to install new ones. Ended up getting a 3 gauge setup from Vulcan with the dash top pod. I have really grown to like better than the A pillar pod. I still have my FP gauge in it and plan on taking it out a nd putting my old 2 gauge pod for the FP and whatever else I decide to put in the spare hole.
  8. Just so I understand. You get in your truck, turn the key on, scan for codes and the p500 is there. Then you start the truck, scan for codes and it is gone. Maybe I am overthinking.
  9. Mine is do too. I have a couple of drive line shops here at home. Just have to find the time to get it off and let them have it and the front one. They all have 14 years and 365k on them. Hope I can find as good of parts that came with it.
  10. What I am trying to say is if you have code set it is there. The cel just comes on at key on as a system check, not necessarily because you have an issue. Some codes will not trip the CEL, most will. The ones that do trip the CEL will cause it to stay on after engine start, like my apps code, P222. Just because you see the CEL at start does not mean you have a problem. Dont over think it.
  11. I actually used it yesterday and looked a part for another member and it worked great. Really appreciate what you have done to make this available.
  12. I am pretty sure the CEL stays on until you start the engine. Mine is stuck on right now to an apps issue. I am sure someone else can confirm or correct me on that.
  13. I am curious by what you mean by it only pops while waiting to start the truck? The check engine light always comes on when starting the engine code or no codes. It is just part of the normal starting process. As far as the tranny, it is out of my league.
  14. Here is what I found. 05086895aa http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/SEAL-Fuel-Injector/4376630/05086895AA.html You might want to double check me on this.
  15. That is my kind of ceiling. The wood looks great along with the shutters. I love the wood. Jag, I was a little slow with this reply. Yes I do this style all the time for clients. A splash of wood here and there with the sheetrock. Makes a nice accent. . I'm a lot slower these days too ya' know
  16. I have been thinking about trying one just to try something different. I dont know anything about them other that what I have read in this thread.
  17. You have any experience with this filter. It piqued my interest when the thread was first started.
  18. I have have had no issues with the bio fuels I have used so far. I have had very little water in any of it, no more than i ever had with straight #2. The mileage has not changed at all. Matter of fact I pulled one of my best mpg from one tank with B-15 bio-mass diesel. 19.6 mpg with 5% of in town driving and the rest highway. about 50% of that was on the interstate running 75 mph and the rest on a 4 lane running 65 mph. I never got another chance to do the same run with it to be sure it was not just a fluke so you can judge that how ever you want to. My other trips with bio fuel have all pretty much been mixed driving and the mileage remains the same as any I have gotten before. My fuel filters are not clogging up and none has gelled on me. For the most part I have not seen cold enough temps until this winter. The fuel pumps here in VA are not labeled as BIO so I dont know what I am getting. If they are back east I have not seen any but I really dont pay much attention to them unless they are labeled for BIO. I will start paying attention now and see if any I see are labeled LSD. I remember when they swapped over you would see both marked very well. Some of the truck stops would have large signs directing people to which pumps had one or the other. That phased out a good while back though.
  19. My 96 with a V10 had a K&N and the motor dropped a valve at 145k. I dont know whether that caused it or not, I had to trade it and get another truck right away. That truck pulled my trailer really good. But you could not pull past a gas station. 4.5 mpg towing and about 12 mpg empty. I am glad gas was only a buck a gallon back then.
  20. Is your apps signal jumping with surging?
  21. I drove mine for almost 3 years with nothing but the rv 275's. I was fairly content with it. I still missed the power while towing but she did pretty good with out. Now with the comp it seems like along time ago.
  22. I had to remove my pump to replace the tappet cover gasket.
  23. I googled it and followed their lead. I dont remember exactly where. There are no nationwide rules on it right now and it seems to be a hodge podge of state regulations.
