Big Line Kit
I understand now. my AD came with a kit to replace the in tank pump also. More or less a pick up tube as I remember that went to the bottom of the basket. Very simple but works very good.

Truck died on highway, and will not start, no other electrical problems?
Hallelujah brother. Happy to see you got it fixed. That is whole lot more electronics trouble shooting than I would want to mess with. But I am happy you got it fixed.

Big Line Kit
Mine is set up very much like yours. Same fuel basket but with an ADII. I dont have whatever the aluminum thing is you have in the pump bracket. My pickup just goes into the bottom of the basket. My return from the engine goes into the basket and I cant remember where the return from pump the goes. I also did not remove the screen but the pump will suck the tank dry. I Have been one to run a tank real low. So low that I have put a touch over 35 gallons in it once and near 35 gallons less than a hand full of times. I dont recommend stretching your fuel that far, It is a bad habit I have had for a long time. Never sucked air in that I know off anyway.

What Soldering Station?
I believe that beats a blow torch and a pound of lead. That is my method for soldering battery cables. your work seems to be a little finer than that.

B&W color it dont matter. B&W is all my parents had back in 53. I dont see any color photos until 59 i think. My baby sister just finished cataloging all of my parents pictures and gave me a thumb drive with them on it. Took a little stroll down memory lane last night Thats what gave me the idea for this.

Timbo's apps installed and still having issues
You ought to check for DTC's and post up some info on your truck by filling out your signature so all can see what you have. There is more than one problem that can cause your issues. I had similar issues years ago and it turned out to be fuel pressure. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge and if so what pressures are you seeing at idle and WOT under load. It could be electrical in which case as Mike says, AC voltage could be the root of the problem. The ac voltage can be the root of many problems. Get the trouble codes and we will have somewhere to start.

IIRC I got mine from cummins for a good bit less but do remember how much. Did not have to use it, YET!

Rear Crank Seal, Real PITA?
Not sure what the FSM says about removal but the bell housing has to come off with the tranny, they are bolted together form the inside. I have had mine off twice and never had to remove the starter either. I have never removed the flywheel however. Maybe it is in the way of that???

They will take a different core but you only get 1/2 core credit, best I can tell. A quick phone call to them would clear that up.

Hello From Texas
Welcome Frog. I once saw some one post on here that they had a Cummins and it was not their fault a Dodge came wrapped around it. Look forward to seeing your project.

I have one of their tranny jacks. The $140 one I think. Found it on Crags list for half price. Think he used once from the looks of it. I have used it once my self. One of the tilt adjustments just did not like that nv5600 sitting on it and was difficult to turn. But i have to say my expectations are not always high on stuff like this. it is cheap and you tend to get what you pay for. The leaky cylinder would not have made me happy. Anyway I hope mine holds a little longer, got to put a new clutch in mine real soon.- Apples to oranges comparisons is a wide spread issue!
They both have turbos.- No more Royal purple in my NV5600
I have run the penzoil ever since my first change and never had any trouble with it. The only 2 fluids I know that are recommended for the 5600 are the Mopar or the Penzoil. There might be more, I dont know.- Floor Board "clunk" finally fixed
I just put new shocks on my truck about 6 weeks ago and mine started clunking. Everything on the shocks are tight. Hopefully the holes for the bolts are not to big. Cant seem to get a weekend home with good weather to check. Never thought about the control arms. They are still stock possibly gone. Just seemed weird that it started with the shock install. My track bar is gone and the new is in the back of the truck waiting to go on the front of the truck. Cant even get good weather at the job for laying on the ground;- Torque Converter Lock / Unlock Issues
My PCM has a ground wire from one of the mounting bolts to the fire wall and the ECM has no separate ground. The only connection to it is the 50 pin connector. This is how it came from the factory.- what are my options
Crappy way to get into a new truck, but that's what the oe lift will do for you. Keep An eye on the fuel pressure and keep it above 14 psi and put some 2 stroke in it you might get a little more life out of it. As far as a new VP goes, there are only a handful of rebuilders and alot of folks that sell them. Be sure that whoever it is used new electronics in the build. Pretty sure they all use new ones now but last I looked you could still get them with old electronics that past testing for a little less $. Just not worth the risk in my opinion.- My Love affair with BMW
The Saturn is the wifes car but i drive every once in a while and it is kinda fun except for getting my 6'4' butt in the drivers seat.- what are my options
You dont need a SO pump to do that. I have driven mine for 14 years from NJ to Fl and NC to OK and every where in between on a HO pump. Been stranded 3 times in that time, once with a failed OE lift pump and twice with a failed ECM. i have always been able to get it home other wise. Was the raptor on it when you bought it? How long have you owned it?- New Edge Comp
I have got to get a new clutch in. Had my comp for 4 months now and have not got to really use it yet. - injectors cleaning
