  1. Well spoken!!
  2. "Heavy SOB" is quite the proper description.
  3. Good idea. Thats why I like the manual. 1st gear and parking brake, motor no turny.
  4. I dont have a problem with the sealed bearing. My biggest problem was replacing the first one and not having a clue of what I was doing wrong when I could not get it off. And the price, like Mike said "Whew". I bought 2 spares form a member here right after that for a great price.
  5. Good find on the old plug. I seem to manage finding a few things like that when doing a project that got put off. Just lucky to find it while doing said project and not the next day while cleaning up.
  6. Way to go. Sounds like you will be ready for the trip.I vote with CSM on the unit bearing assembly from the replacement side. very large pita.
  7. Where was your original pump when you installed the raptor? If dodge installed an in tank pump they would have pulled the oe pump off and put a block in its place to route the fuel into the filter canister.
  8. If the sender is bad, it will feed a bad signal to the Edge monitor.
  9. Good to hear. What did the problem turn out to be?
  10. Vulcan and DAP are two others that fit the bill.
  11. I had one in mine. It was installed by dodge when the block mounted pump went. For the life of me I cant remember how it was wired. for some reason I dont think it was wired to the oe ECM connection which would have used the ECM for the relay trigger. I could be wrong however. You can look and see if it is being used. You should see it just to the rear and below the fuel filter canister. There should be a relay mounted on the firewall on the driver side that runs the in tank pump. If it si not using the ECM for the trigger you wont get the 25 or so second run of the pump. I knew so little about how this stuff works when I got rid of mine I did not pay any attention to how it worked. The ECM you are using sounds like it is working fine. Same part # and the wait to start light working are good signs.
  12. Does any one know the size of the 2 bottom boots on the inter cooler? Best I can tell they are 3.5" X 3" 45* boots. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  13. The in tank pump is not stock. It is Dodges answer to the block mounted lift pump that was stock. They are both pretty crappy at best. I would check the voltage like Seth suggested. Is the ECM from Dodge? If so I would think they flashed properly when they installed it.
  14. A lot of us have benefited from the advice that is offered here from Mike and all the other family members that make this site what it is.It has been my privilege to be part of it and associate with all. Soak all you can and pass it on. As much as I appreciate everyone's help, it is very rewarding to be able to pass it on to someone else. On another note. I have the RV275's and love em. My banks tuner died and I only have the RV's now and there is a very nice difference from stock. I feel a Comp coming on soon.
  15. here is a picture of the label. It says compatible with brass, bronze and copper but does not mention composite. It does list the part # and spec # it can be used for. I dont personally know about them.
  16. Wondering the same thing myself.
  17. I have been using the Penzoil Synchromesh for the past many years with no ill effects. The only problem I ever had was caused by lack of fluid and not the fluid it self. Strictly my fault. I have seen alot of different things people use, but as long as the Penzoil keeps working I am going to stick with it.
  18. My ADII is about 3 years old and has run flawlessly since install. Here's hoping you have the same luck.
  19. Nothing compares to a good running truck. Life is good, FT.
  20. Quite a truck and story. Welcome.
  21. It would seem to me if you have to upgrade wire gauge for more power, you would have to upgrade fuses and relays also. But I am no electrician by a long shot and it sounds like you will no for sure Monday.
  22. I would not see any reason to change it as long as they are both the same as you describe.
  23. agriculture turned to fuel production is detrimental to human life. I used to be an advocate of ethanol until I saw what it has done to food cost. I still believe in using renewable energy, but not at the cost of food in ones belly.
  24. I would like to see a study of pollutants based on a per mile basis instead of just a per gallon basis. I dont know that older technology would win but it would be interesting for all to see the comparison.
  25. Mine came on the truck from the factory. Seems I have other harnesses on the truck for options that were not on it. That would leave me to believe there is a good chance they are there. I know the wiring was on mine for the heated/power tow mirrors and it came with manual. I have plugs under the seat that I would think are for power seats. I did have to add switches for the mirrors and my fog lights are controlled with the headlight switch and you might have to install the proper switch to use them. Mine is also an SLT which some folks tell me that is why the harnesses were there.
