  2. seriously i have never heard of that one. i seemed to have had everything else happen in the past year. i guess it is another one to look foward to. sorry to hear about your misfortune.
  3. you weren't i Idaho were you?:lmao2:
  4. does anyone know if a nv out of a 3rd gen will work on an 02? i think some of them have a differant t case.
  5. a bad rear speed sensor will cause the speedo to not function, will it not?
  6. if you are still using your stock filter like some of us are, you won't know if it is plugging up. if you are running straight to the vp it should be ok as long as the port is after the filters.
  7. i can't say i ever tried what you tried when i was in my 20's, but trust me there were plenty enough other things i have participated in just as crazy. i am the guy who would say Wactch this, as i was chugging the last of my beer and wondering if someone would have more when i was done with what ever.:lmao2::lmao2:not laughing at you, laughing with you. some times you just have to go for it. but for me at the age of 58 i don't bounce near as well as i used to.
  8. Welcome ot you SwampRat. great site, lotta good info and folks.
  9. what is your pressure at wot?
  10. my pdc has 2 tabs, one on each side. just squeeze them and lift up. the pdc is just behind the drivers side battery on my 02.
  11. glad to see you are ok. will you be posting a video in the near future ? we might be able to get you on tv.
  12. the suit actually comes with one.
  13. well i guess i got egg on my face. after gettin home and checking the vehicle out it turns out it is the trans temp light is coming on and not the engine temp. i have taken a few raod trips with no problem. even climbed the mountains up to Ashvelle nc dwith no issue. the only time it comes on is in town. strange thing is it will come on befor the truck is even close ot being warmed up, some times with in a half a mile. it will also come on after reaching operating temp. if i shut the engine off while it is lit and turn it right back on the light is off and does not come back on. it might or might not come back on. it is ver intermittant. every thing operates like normal. the radiator is clean, i need to check the fan but it seems to be operating properly. any suggestions would be appreciated.
  14. if you like i can loan you my body armor.
  15. the relay under the hood in the pdc controls the vp and not the lift pump. i believe the lift pump is controlled by the ecm. has your truck generated ny dtc's?
  16. it is just the apps, not the whole bell crank assembly like alot of places will try to sell you. i have a timbo on mine and it works fine with the original assembly.
  17. i went the rebuild route on the ecm. the provider promised quick turn around in most cases. it took almost 3 weeks to get it back and it did not work. they honored the warranty but it took 5 weeks more for them to get it back to me. the whole while i am having to rent a vehicle to get to work. theyalso kept my core charge, they said my core was unrebuildable. six months later i am sitting on the side of the road with a bad ecm again. i spent a wad of money trying to save few hundred. i ended up getting another one thru a local mechanic form chrysler. the mechanic had the equipment to program the ecm. unless someone knows a reputable rebuilder i would never by another from anyone else. you can check here or some of the other forums and see if someone has one for sale, i am sure they can be reprogramed. with as many aftermarket fuel systems you can buy or put together yourself i dont think i read of one screwing up the computer. it is just a fuel pump.
  18. i heated the the yoke around the ball joint and not the ball joint. i gues thats why i had no explosions. but that is good info to have.
  19. mine came out in one piece but were just as useless. got a little more scrap metal though.
  20. mine has the larger input. that i know. some of the earlier models had an 1 1/4" shaft. i just dont know what year they change. i think it was 2000 or maybe 2001. I will call them and see if they know. thanks
  21. sounds like my experience except no explosions. i did not have to struggle with the knuckles to much, but those lower ball joints were a pain. my press had nothing to pres them out with. we had to pound them out. the passanger side was much easier. i only had to hit it 150 times. the swing arc at that yoke aint real good. did you check and see if there was any up and down play in those ball joints after install?
  22. does anyone know when dodge changed to the larger 1 3/8 input shaft? i found a nv out of an 01, 150k, they are asking 1800, hope i can talk him down to 1500.
  23. hey mike i am going to look at a 96 qclb tommorow witha v8 not sure 318 or 360 until i talk to the guy. its got plenty of extras and everything is supposed to work 122k on the clock. wants $2400. any thing out of the ordinary with yours i might keep an eye out for? thinking about dirving it until i can properly fix the 02.
  24. my truck had the in tank pump with a differant basket from yours. all of my inlet and oulets were molded plastic. there was an unused capped opening that i used to install the fuel pickup line. had to drill it out. there is a thread on the 24 valve non power train titled "fising fuel tank leak" that should address your concerns. there is also a link in the thread to a write up about a slimilar problem with alot of pics. some of the guys here would be more knowledgable that i on the egt issue. i would think that one of the pumps could have helped with that i dont know enough to pass an informed opinion on. after install my ADII my egts remained pretyy much the same, but my fuel milage at higher highway speeds went up. hope some of this helps.
