Torque Converter/Turbo size
It is hard to convey tone across text. Dynamic argued with me before on how my truck was behaving. Do not take it personally.

Torque Converter/Turbo size
And I am speaking from personal experience and perception of what my situation was. Which is going to be different than everyone else's. I was very less than impressed especially when moving to bigger singles. I am not a fan of messing with stall speed any more. At the time (he351) it should have been a good idea.

Torque Converter/Turbo size
I had a low stall approx. 300rpm lower with a combination of 3 different turbos and 2 sets of injectors. First was an he351cw with 7x.010s. Next was a 66/67 with the 7x.010s and then a set of 6x.013s. Last was a 67.7 with the 6x.013s. The lower stall did not fit my driving habits or expectations. Same converter from 500hp to 650hp. The 2nd to the last converter was a 2800rpm goerends with the s467.7 & 6x.013s. It was magical. Ran it with 3 different s400s and was always spot on for where it needed power etc. Current is stock stall with a totally asinine setup lol.

Factory alarm question
So there are two different deally-ohs with the fob and actual alarm. The fob is just for the panic alarm. There was a security option as well. If you send me the last 8 of the vin I can tell you which you are supposed to have.

Headgasket
Yes it did. However I know of others that did not. Pressure tester on the rad will show you.

Rebuilding a Holset HX35/40W turbo
I have had a range of tcs and the lower stall made boost sooner and had a more connected feel similar to a clutch. That being said.....I friggin hated it. The 2800rpm stall I had with the 2nd to last trans and big single....OMG was that perfect. The low stall was ran with 3 different turbos. The 2800 as well but all were on the large side lol. This stock tc in the 12v that flash stalls to the governor in the pump is obnoxious. Can't wait to get it out of there.

Teardown and Rebuild
I used my old vp line clamps. As far as a source....I ask around for used pending they do not think they are worth gold.

Verifying HX35/40 turbo size
I'm taking donations for a trans in the 12v.

Rebuilding a Holset HX35/40W turbo
I disagree with that statement. Response would be worse generally due to the effect of manual trans and clutch. Torque converters are heck of a tool to stay on turbos and loading the engine.

Headgasket
My head gasket literally blew right below the tstat housing......

LED Headlights
I have seen the cheap ones yellow very quickly. Talking ebay level stuff.

Teardown and Rebuild
Add. More. Clamps.

Verifying HX35/40 turbo size
Better off throwing an hy35 cover on the he351.

Headgasket
$400-450 for studs. $80-150 to surface the head. Most places.

Verifying HX35/40 turbo size
Stop it. Y'all are gonna make me start pulling my he351s and hx35s apart and build a hybrid for this 12v......

Start with space requirements.

Verifying HX35/40 turbo size
There is no maybe. 48v is coming. BSG. F1 or Indy was messing with the electric turbo stuff but that is an extremely slow trickle down.
-
Verifying HX35/40 turbo size
The 48v stuff is closer than you think. The electric supercharger is a bit further out. Everyone (loose generalization) was all excited for Trumps view on the EPA.....they all seem to forget what has driven the tech and advancements over the years for passenger cars.

Help with a 1999
In my experience the edge display is NOT accurate. For example.....edge would display 40psi. Mechanical gauge said 62psi.

LED Headlights
Hopefully dis weekend.

Rebuilding a Holset HX35/40W turbo
Wonder who is actually making them. Ran into this with my secondary. Not all 360* bearings are created equal. A compressor wheel, turbine wheel and rebuild kit. A buddy in Indiana builds them very reasonably for a drop in. Especially once you consider what machining and balancing costs. North American Turbo Systems.

Rebuilding a Holset HX35/40W turbo
Not sure there is one available for the hx35.

Verifying HX35/40 turbo size
Shoulda added the super hx40 76/64 turbine to that.

LOST POWER
More than one sensor shares that 5v reference. Same with the ground.

LED Headlights
I have pnp leds in reflector housings. Any other light source immediately drowns them out. Any of those specd projectors are cheap crap. I should have my lights installed this weekend and I'll get a picture of the before with leds. For reference the hids I have in my fogs are just as "bright" and cast just as far as the pnp leds. Pretty sad really.
