  1. The gear advanced has been tried before, but not with the control that is available now. Anyone want to trade for 97 12v!? I'll be the guinea pig LOL. Not being a smartbutt but have you been around a monster pumped truck? Totally different experience than a stock pump.
  2. Check the air gap on the ess. Very common to get some dirt or debris blocking it.
  3. I wonder if this will actually work. Could explain the reason monster pump trucks idle the way they do, physically advanced timing in the pump.
  4. Sounds good. What year is your truck?
  5. I have only ever replaced the orings.
  6. On a fb group I admin for there should be a good used one. Mark Nixon is another good source if you can look him up. Always has controllers for sale.
  7. I also do not have any showing in Star parts. New or used.
  8. I am sorry if this has already been addressed but approx what rpm and gear are you in? To me it sounds like you are lugging the engine and the fueling is trying to compensate but it cannot over come it. I know the extra fuel added is exasperating the situation. I found a similar issue when using a lock up switch on my auto when screwing around in low rpm & locking the converter.
  9. ^that. Make sure you check everything before just replacing parts.

    1) Sand drags on Silver Lake Sand Dunes. 2) So people know you are on the other side of a hill due to the dunes. Visibility 3) Unorganized. Line 2-15 trucks, buggies, quads, or dirt bikes up at the start line and someone on the side will let a flag go to start. Trucks and buggies race together. Quads and dirt bikes race each other. For safety reasons. Side lines are the hangout spot for people watching the races.
  11. Understood. If you are on fb look up Cody Albrecht and pick his brain.
  12. I have a buddy that is working with a shop in Texas that is extremely good with these. I can get the name/price if you are interested.
  13. I have set and am not impressed. Now the Polks I have in my car, are great. I will be removing them before I sell it and transfer them to the truck.
  14. What is it with all you west siders!? LOL Yes they are. Picture is from the drag strip on Memorial day. I heard there is a vid floating around on youtube but I have not found it yet.
  15. My .02 on sumps. I had a draw straw in the fuel module with an AD II. I had ridiculous pressure drops with it feeding a p7100, like +30psi drops at wot. I installed a beans sump and saw only a 20psi drop. This was pulling the truck in the shop one morning and installing the sump and going right back out. I have been sold on their use since. The legality of it...I have not once been stopped or asked about it. Same goes for the hood stack. There are a ton of modifications we make to these trucks that are technically illegal. Oh well lol
  16. I reside in Auburn Hills. The truck generally lives in Eaton Rapids at my parents. Honestly if you have ALL the parts to do it....it would only take me a weekend to get it done.
  17. You are also well within it's safety margin for use. I was not. They do not like to make a ton of pressure. Had I kept the vp, the AD would have lived a long happy life.

I am here to learn. More the better. You suddup. lol weather has been too hit or miss to get it out. It can be a tad unruly. Ask away. You should know by now I'll answer about anything whether I should or not. LOL

Hi all. Not new to the platform. Owned the same pos derdge since the end of 2010. Few different turbo, injector and pump setups. Do not take anything I say personally, I can be a bit brash lol.
  20. After running a couple different pumps I have finally grasped that mechanical pumps tend to out live their electrical counter parts. My vp was happy with the AD II 165. However when I ppumped my truck.....not so much. So I sunk a ton of coin into a regulated return setup that works very well but I am at the limit for fuel flow at my hp level. Which is probably 4-5x what you are ever going to do so I do not recommend that route lol. I should have installed a mechanical pump long ago and solved my delivery issues. I am a fan of the fuel boss'.
  21. I do not want to put words in their mouth but I would take "new" to mean not rebuilding what he had. The cost for a replacement set of injectors is not out of sight, generally.
  22. I ran them for years on my truck before ppumping. Never had an issue.
  23. You would have been even more upset when having to deal with industrial infection. Any injector builder worth their salt will warranty their product. Reason I use Infinite performance. Also highly recommend HSI.
